Yea I first heard about it about a year ago as well, but ur right I don't think many people will be spending the extra cash on some thing that isn't really necessary. Especially since its a modification for more "highly tuned" cars... I ended up buyin an engine that had already been built and I was happy with the 2.6 at that point in time ( it was a good price as well) Though when I do eventually kill the engine "will not if" I'll be using a 2.8 minimum Seems to be the common trend at the moment

Well I'll be back from WA next Wednesday so I'll be popping in to see how the progress on the car is goin so I may see yours in there if it's there towards the end of the week... I tell u what though that blue 32 is one sweet custom job, yavuz was saying that it was also gettin one of these balancer kits as well... Yea 400kw is alot of power lol I can't really imagine what its goin to feel like... Quickest I've had is 290 I don't think I'd mind that rough idle though makes it sound tough I reckon.. I've just got the tomei type b poncams (260 degree from memory) with 800cc so I don't think mine will be that lumpy

i was goin to say just before mine let go it would blow blue smoke on start up and miss a bit...then as it got warmer the smoke would disappear and the miss would go away as the rings sealed better if urs isnt missing at start up then its not the same case as mine...

dont worry mate she'll scrub up all right , hoping for 400rwkw but may have to wind a bit of boost into it to get there any of those cars in the shop yours stevo? Be interesting to know how much more this balancer will allow the engine to rev safely? Yavuz didnt happen to mention anything about it Paul? very interesting to know that it makes the car idle a better

yea the black one that has a f@uk load of dust and shit on it lol... the blue 32 with the flared guards makes mine look like a dump haha Did u manage to get a look at the turbo and manifold set up i have?... theres alot of work to be done because of how everything sits so i wont be seeing it for a while i pretty much only bought it because yavuz recommended it so if he thinks its worth it then he has me convinced Hows does the power delivery feel? smoother or cant really notice it?

good to see the data logging for the dodgy CAS signal compared to the new crank trigger setup Yavuz often talked about the issues with the standard CAS and its good to see some proof of how much i can effect tuning.. not that i didnt beleive him cause he knows his Sh#t... Just dropped my car off today and i also have one of these balancers goin on and beleive me they re NOT CHEAP!, will be well worth it in the end. Though i may have to change from a normal PFC to a Dejetro but as far as i know the balancer works for both.. .... ive always wondered why ive never heard of this issue before from other tuners?, good to see Yavuz is on the ball Cheers for sharing Paul, good info mate

I remember reading a thread in this forum where some had a mildly modded gtr (around 300rwkw) they performed a before and after test using stock dumps and then some after market larger dumps the difference ended up being 3 fifths of f#ck all not sayin ur wrong but at these sorta power figures i dont think the dumps make that much difference, not doubting that CES arent a better dump either, i just dont think the dumps are his power problem ill see if i can find the thread -
^^Agree^^ if ur looking to do something a little different from the norm then yea you can put a 26 in it like whats already been said, u run the risk of buying a stuffed 26 and u end up back to square one again if ur lookin for a bit more power and fun then you would be far better off just gettin ur 25 built and spending some coin on some light mod ie. turbo, injectors, ecu, intercooler, exhuast etc alot less stuffing around to put an engine that was designed for ur engine bay back in as well

from what ive read and from before/after dyno graphs i dont think that the dumps would be the issue they would be 100% fine for 300kw and lots more XKLABA i dare say that ur 20kw gain would have mostly been from ur front pipe change, there are large gains had from changing to bigger diameter front pipes -

dunno about 34 GTT but the reason alot of GTR 5 speed boxes crunch when tryin to select 4th is becasue there isnt sufficent grooving within the syncro ring to allow oil to pass through it when sliding over the cone when u shift quickly itll crunch cause the syncro cant match the speed of the engine to road speed quickly enough, though if u shift slowly the oil has enough time to move the oil from the insufficent grooves within the syncro ring and it works fine it doesnt necessarily mean ur syncros are worn out, but they can be modified with new grooves to work sweetly again thats what i can recall from the explanation that i recieved from someone whos done a lot of skyline boxes

Mine does exactly the same thing r33 series 2 GTST... Idles rough at first start up then u give it a tap Pryor throttle and it's fine.... My car is stock as a rock bar the 3inch exhaust... I have noticed since i changes the oil that it has stopped happening... Though it is starting to warm up during the summer months so not sure how much that would effect it....

Obviously most of the time ur revs are goin to be below 4000 rpm, I voted 4000 to 7500 cause that's where I'll want my power will be It's not realistic to have decent power under 4 for my set up and I'd rather not rev the ass out of it Just my justification for my choice

Birds I think we can both agree that It's all good having a routine but at the end of the day it's best to go by muscle feel If it still feels tired or sore give it another day, if it feels strong then give it another smashing
