  1. haha yep older people are always like that, u can never be better then them in their day... one of my ex mrs dads asked me how much i bench press, so i told him.. he continued by sayin that he benched someting rediculous like 180kg back when he was 18 (the guys like 50 now so clearly suffering from amnesia) i think he was getting kg and pounds confused haha
  2. Haha u were a bit wobbly cause ur not use to doin it... When dumb bell pressing u use alot of stabilizing muscles so U do need to get use to it... It will come with practice Nick 33 u start by sitting on the bench with the dumbbells up right on your knees right? From there just roll back onto the bench while bringing the dumbbells to ur chest, then just press up... If u practice that u should be able to get a heavy dumb bell up. I can only do 6 reps of 50kg dumbbells but I can still get them up ok
  3. lol theres no place to rest ur dumb bells? you should be doin dumb bell press mate, (flat and incline) should be aiming for 8-10 reps for warmups i reckon 3 sets of 15 reps is a bit much, i just have a bit of a stretch and do 50% of my max approx 15 reps (slow and controlled, full range of motion) havent injured my self yet so must be doin alright
  4. Nice results...interesting to see how much it makes when its running sweet whats the potential power difference between the s362 and the s366
  5. OH FOR F@CKS SAKE i just put the stuff in! and now i need to change it out
  6. Pitty someone forgot to trial fit hey Smithy haha Just bend it man itll be ok.... take the drain off the turbo, clamp the flange and use a bar to bend it... be gental..... just saved u 25 bucks
  7. Cut out some of the bonnet the other day...all good now
  8. Well thats it isnt it.. definatly dont want the job to look like sh!t and i dont wanna have to come back and do it again Do u know the name exhaust shop they use Steve? have u delt with them before? Ill go the stainless cause i will be happier with the look no doubt will be asking about this flexible hose as well Dan Yavuz is booked out for a while yet.... whats another 3 weeks after already having the car off the road for 15 months fairly certain ive already got Brads number.. hes doin up a custom catch can for me when im ready
  9. Haha still alot of fun though!
  10. +1 with smithy 85 Get all 4 boots for 40 bucks from memory that inlcudes grease and clamps fitted great! cant go wrong universal ones are only a temporary fix as they dont generally fit real well
  11. I dont acutally think its possible to have your wrists fully bent when bench pressing, i know mine definatly arent. as stated before the bar should be in the lower part of ur hand so the weight is a straight line through your forearms generally what ever is comfortable is the way to go
  12. My statement stands heh heh
  13. Pm him mate, either that or message him through the fullrace website He's more then happy to help... If I remember correctly I got my 83/75 with a v- band mod for 900 plus delivery
  14. Talk to Geoff at full race... He ll b able to help u out
  15. got the wastegates with no springs in them so didnt have an issue with that, but yeah there is a fark load of spring pressure in them haha had to use 3 springs to get the 1 bar setting though pretty handy how both ur wastegates are together, i have one facing the front which could prove interesting how much power u making mate? u reckon the twinscroll makes a difference as appose to single?
  16. interesting interesting
  17. gloves wont help mate,.. the only reason people wear gloves is to protect they're hands from getting sore and get a better grip, gloves are gay IMO strapping your wrists would probably help i reckon, (helps boxers from jarring theyre wrists doesnt it) aminos arent as effective in tables from what ive been told, should be in powder form
  18. well i was thinkin about leaving the gates to vent to atmosphere as it would be cheaper but i dont think thats too good of an idea for legality reasons all i know is im glad im not doin it!!! Will definatly post some pics when she's all done
  19. mate you can get a product called "extreme carbs" by international protein Its a sweet sugary powder that u can mix with ur protein/pre workout, also konw as waxy maise obviously its loaded with carbs and can be used pre workout, though its generally used straight after a work out to replenish glycogen levels comes in 1.8kg tubs will last a while and costs around 35 bucks
  20. That flexible tubing may be the way to go, will have to ask about it any idea how expensive it is?
  21. No plans for E85 as of yet but definatly an option in the future Your right might as well go the stainless, looks better too The car is gettin done at Unigroup so ive organised through Yavuz to get the exhaust done, not sure who he uses but im sure they would have to be of a decent quality
  22. yea definatly no denying its goin to be a major pain in the ass and labour will be the most expensive part...suppose i can expect a high end figure of 1500? As long as they do a good job i dont mind payin a few hundred bucks extra. do we think the dump should be stainless still?
  23. cool, i was hoping it would be around the 1000 figure, hopefully less obviously need the oxy sensor adaptors for the dump as well... what do u guys reckon about keeping the dump pipe mild steel and heat wraping it?
  24. Hey guys got the GTR goin into the exhuast within the next couple of days and trying to get a figure on how much i should be paying... the set up is a single high mount borg warner on a twinscroll manifold Basically the work i need done is a 4 inch v-band dump pipe to the cat plumb the two wastegates into the exhuast setting up the plumbing from compressor side of the turbo to the intercooler im guessin stainless will be the way to go? any input is welcome cheers
  25. yep will be a bit laggy but will come on pretty hard and feel quick 91 octane fuel is goin to be ur biggest power killer
