  1. Righto so in about to put the engine back In the car and I want to clean out the old oil from the cooler. The oil isn't contaminated, just old What's the best solvent and way to clean it? I have brakeclean, carby clean, a parts cleaner tub.. But not sure of the safest and best way to do it. Any thoughts? Thanks
  2. Hi guys Trying to find out if Mary's burgers at Newtown is open Easter Monday Tried contacting them many times but can't get a hold of anyone, nor is there any info on their pages If anyone happens to know or could ask if they pass by that would be of great help Cheers
  3. I feel like a retard just by reading that post
  4. Did you compression test the car when you first bought it? If so what psi were the cylinders? If it were Bent valves you would have heard them hit. Blown rings on all cylinders would blow a shit load of blue smoke I'd imagine. White smoke is generally moisture ie coolant. Very possibly a badly blown head gasket or a warped head. Did you car seem to run hot at any stage? The factory gauge works like shit as I found out first hand If you do a proper leak down test at tdc compression you can figure out where the cylinder is not sealing if you listen for air escaping. Ie intake, exhaust, sump.. If its a blown head gasket you will get bubbles/ airated air in your radiator
  5. Also look for worn broken engine/gearbox mounts. These are generally torque/heavy load related drive/prop shafts are generally road speed related
  6. bahaha @ ghost
  7. Problem with rhd is you need to give them parts numbers as a lot of smaller bits aren't listed in their website. They then add the part to their site, I was doing this but they were taking too long to organise themselves and reply. Now I use kudos. They have excellent customer service But yes RHD are the cheapest.. I just find them a f*ck around sometimes
  8. Down load the Nissan fast softwear. Then order through kudos Motorsport.. Easiest and cheapest way
  9. Thought he was talking about rear water drain
  10. Hey mick, what ratios did have on your 32 when you ran a 11.3 with standard turbos ?
  11. Shit, based off that I'll go find some 6:1 diff gears and put it in the GTR. I forgot that it doesn't matter at what point in the rev range it comes on boost. Apparently boost vs road speed is all that matters. Can't wait to shift at 25km/h after 0.3 seconds of boost
  12. Realistically response is probably reduced due to less load with the shorter gears. It's very much an illusion
  13. Nw "More reply options" for pics mate
  14. I think more info would help you sell this car man, it's a pretty lazy add tbh
  15. Glad to hear you got it all sorted Marcus
  16. Haha thanks Ravi A point to note: I've read through many other threads on this without clear indicators on what you need to do to make this work with a greddy oil block. If you remove the heat trasnfer block You can use a standard rb26 filter if you knock a pressure relief into the block where the return is Then just use the RB 30 filter stud.. Here's the part numbers All up costs $50 from kudos.. That included 2 genuine oil filters I highly recommended them, Andrew and Ian are top guys and are always willing to help
  17. But you ll never have your car
  18. I was thinking the same thing.. What a noob
  19. That's poor business practice, especially since you just spent in the vicinity of 30-35k there.. They should be paying for a tow truck, fixing it and then giving your full tune to you free for the hassles. They do read these forums, sort it out CRD Like already stated mate, don't touch a thing.. Don't want to give them any excuses not to warrant their work
