  1. Honestly I think people should hold off straps as long as they can because eventually your grip does develop and you will be able to hold the weight.. Initially my grip wasn't too great but over time it has become reasonably strong to the point where my PB is 200kg without straps.. I don't have the biggest fire arms either.. It's more about developing the tendents
  2. oh its getting done dont worry, thats shits coming out with the engine when i do the sump along with other things good suggestion though
  3. Firstly id swap weetbix out for rolled oats.. more brown rice, more vegies ie potatos/sweet potatos and fruit doesn't go astray either especially right before and after training
  4. yep that's what I was thinking. Ill go with keeping it simple and install a cooler core.. just need to figure out where is the safest place to put it where it can get air. cheers for the replys guys
  5. shot gun brake master cylinder
  6. that's why I have come here to ask mate, im sure something like that could be done. Ive never seen it done nore do I know how cost/performance effective that would be.. If it was to be done then I would use the return line to the surge tank between the cooler so there would be less pressure I guess. I do see your point about running up the back of some one...Ill check it out now Pauly
  7. How so Alex?, like I said its been done before I don't see how it would be an issue not so much to lower the fuel in the surge tank as its the surge tank that heats the fuel, but to cool the fuel that's going into the engine. When the fuel gets hot the performance of the engine drops... not such a big deal on the street but I know that Unigroup have invested in a fuel cooler in their RX7 race car due to the back to back results of hotter and cooler fuel
  8. Brad if I was to run a cooler, where would be the best place to install it, front of the car or underneath it. More efficient cooling could be achieved through ducting yes? Another advantage of the hard piping that I can see is that its far less likely to by damaged by rocks and stones then what a cooler core would be
  9. While we are on the subject of using coolers/heat exchangers etc.. im planning on installing a fuel cooler due to the large amout of heat that generated by having twin pumps inside of my surge tank. As far as i can see i have 3 options 1. Run a fuel cooler and have the core sitting somewhere up the front behind the front bar 2. Run a fuel cooler and have the core mouted somewhere under the car in the return line and have ducting with a mesh screen for protection 3. Heat is disipated from the fuel through hard lines that are run in a snake pattern across the front of the radiator/intercooler. Not sure how many people have seen this but i have come accross it in my experiences working on heavy diesel equipment.
  10. See what worrys me is that even the guys behind the counter that are selling Whey say that its pretty much just garbage and that they are getting off it to switch over to Rice/Pea proteins. i got some samples of Rice protein today, wasnt too bad. ive definatly had worse whey protein before People say that it isnt a complete protein, but i reckon if your relying on protein shakes to get a full profile of aminos to build proteins then i think they are going the wrong way about it to start off with. Ive read and seen so many studys and statistics on how the acidic and processed foods in out lives are the cause of 90% of our health problems that i really do want to stear away from it altogether... Dairy being a main culprit
  11. I havent driven one but yea they are very punchy off the mark, thats those short ratios haha your right they have no hope once on the longer stretches but lets not turn this into a EVO vs GTR segment haha
  12. I guarantee you it didn't have 400kw Stupid evos and their million gears!!
  13. Another example was cruising down the highway between Brisbane and the Gold Coast (Pacific highway?) and had this tard in his shit box Evo fly past me at least 160km/h. He then decided to slow right down and let me go past him. Then proceeded to fly past me at another rediculous speed (insert rolly eyed face here).. even the Mrs was shaking her head haha Im thinking Bro, i have over 400rwkw, your gay little evo wouldnt last 3 fifths of a second before your eating unburnt fuel out of my exhaust
  14. lol i still think 16 is a bit young birds.. anyway i bet she could still squat more then 95% of the blokes here
  15. as long as you dont get bored
  16. haha you two crack me up ^^ as if you wouldnt "try" and pick her up... if she was 18 of course
  17. Hi guys long story short i have a cooling Pro alloy radiator, its direct bolt in. Im getting rid of it becasue it has a leak. The leak apears to come from the overflow tube as its all out of shape as it only leaks when the car is turned off and coolant returns to the overflow i beleive the leak could be fixed if a proper seal is created between the over flow return hose and the tube on the neck of the radiator... or if possible the neck can be replaced and a new one installed ive ordered a new Racepace radiator that should be in the car by saturday night, then im leaving for sydney the next day and i cbf bringing it back with me to repair. Id rather try help someone out then throw it away If your interested PM me or message me on 0432528844
  18. Yes of course
  19. yeah thats for the basic fitness assesment, those SAS guys are half human half machine, you really cant compete with them haha Have you seen "search for the worrior"... awesome 2 part doco on the selection process for SAS
  20. Guys what are your thoughts on alternatives to whey protein like pea and rice protein i know its alot more expensive but im trying to cut out highly acidic and processed food from my diet a little off topic sorry
  21. exactly birds.. like you im driven by beating my PBs and that isnt acheived by doing a half assed training session. Well it might work initially but when it starts getting to the nitty gritty you really arent going to improve. Personally i see it as a waste of training if your not giving it your all Im in the Army mate, beleive it or not i know bigger guys then me that are quicker over 2.4km
  22. so the answer is measure it at its hottest? ... still dont know where we are taking the reading from....The sump, the filter housing, before the cooler if your using one???? im not 100% clear on the flow of oil through an RB engine
