  1. Awesome looking car! Your first concern should be, CAN you get it through a blue slip as is? If not, how much will you have to change and spend to get it through? When making a purchase like this make sure you have cash spare for these sort of issues! The car looks really well built BUT NSW rules of late have been so strict and are being enforced, so if there are any potential defects on the car in NSW then work out what to do about it before it happens... I would say the car may be known by the SAU VIC guys, try ask them? But REVS check, EPA check and speak to a Blue Slip station!
  2. Good thread! I was looking to run sound deadening and a similar carpet up to the parcel shelf as on the street its super loud without the back seat! Also considered cutting the factory rear trims around then cage just to do it cheap and without looking too pov spec! I have seen people paint the inside the same as the car BUT i reckon glare will become an issue in the sun?
  3. Only 534whp here..... I can only think of PJ's S13 and Matouks VL, then you also have Dave (Nytsky) R33..... All RWD but all pushing serious power!
  4. Its not too bad, just depends on how you drive! It lights up pretty well though Lol shuddup smartass
  5. Haha yep! Stupid thing....... Everyone i tell that has seen and heard the car laughs and says "WTF are the joking?"
  6. Awesome! Look forward to more updates!
  7. Wow! Awesome build happening
  8. Also, one i have just found out recently.... Although a REVS check will show up defects and vehicle history, it will NOT show EPA issues, we recently purchased a car then changed rego and got slapped with an EPA notice that is now our problem to get cleared! Its money we didnt plan to spend and drama we dont want to deal with! SO if its a private sale and its modified DO AN EPA CHECK!
  9. Just dont rush the engine Its one of those things that takes time to do properly! Looks like you have most bases covered so far tho
  10. Sweet! Still better get this thread up to scratch Will do it when i have some time!
  11. I have nothing but good things to say about this style radiator and also the service i got from Chris @ Racepace.... I run the GTT version which i believe is the same as 33GTR and since fitting it the temps have been stable and slightly lower than the past. I know mine would struggle after prolonged punishment but now it is nice and stable! They look like any cheap eBay spec radiator to be honest BUT after discussing it with another SAU member who also ran one, the choice was made! Overall i am pretty impressed with it!
  12. Hmmmm i am back in NSW and it looks like i have some reading and catching up to do! Also better chase up the PDF's with the dyno plots so we have a better idea of what the turbo does down low on paper....
  13. Remember if you go low the car becomes a defect magnet and it will also handle worse! If you change height in any way make sure you get an alignment!
  14. Lawl! These threads always deliver! But the whole flutter thing will soon be annoying for a daily drive! AND you can get EPA's based on it anyway as its still creating a sound!! In other words, DONT DO IT!
  15. Mine only shudders on light load in traffic and you can drive around that! It takes a LOT of abuse without a drama..... Not sure about your clamp load? I have the same design with the heavier pressure plate and its set at 4600lb so i would double check the numbers maybe? Jim is one of the easiest guys to deal with and is more than happy to help you understand your own needs based on the given application!
  16. According to JEM's latest Lambo tests they come from factory with bugger all..... Twin turbos should soon rectify that!
  17. Agreed on the clutch topic, I chose the JB single which can take all sorts of power levels but can drive like a normal clutch in most cases...
  18. Lol NO And no, there is no set power figure that is too much for a GTR, at the end of the day it's all about the drivers right foot and ONCE you go past a certain power level the car starts becoming a serious bit of gear and it's only a matter of time until you are defected or arrested lol
  19. I've been running 360 for quite a while in RWD and recently cracked 391... You can't use the power on the street as there is too much risk with cops etc these days so in saying that it's nice to cruise around in as it drives like stock! Mine is nice and responsive around town so the speed limit can be reached quickly
  20. Don't trust that God_Speed guy Terry..... I've seen the way he drives, he has a heavy foot... And enough NOS to blow himself up.... Lol
  21. Been offline for a few days but just back in time to get my name down for this With my +1 if that's ok?
  22. Driving the Cruiser to Warnambool tomorrow.... Long drive it's been getting 11L/100 around town though so interested to see if hwy is better
  23. Lol well report back with how it all goes mate! Gotta go, talk later!
