  1. First session out was to get tyre pressures right and also check the new alignment... It was an untimed session so no stress... However in this session the car felt terrible... Was major understeer and could not get it to pull up under hard braking (More on this in a sec)... I pulled into the pits and got the tyre pressure guage happening, we checked the pressures and all were too high, we set them to 32psi hot and left it at that... Waited for the next session...
  2. So we arrive at the track after an awesome brekky at the Bakery and its time for the track walk.... Well half track drive thankfully lol This is Matt and I planning our attack... May not have gone to plan but we looked the part
  3. The weather was interesting on the day, it was hot, humid, windy, rainy, stormy then not too bad lol
  4. So Nov 1 we wake up and its my Birthday and my partner Carmen gives me an epic birthday prezzie Cant wait to get the boss kit and quick release and get it on the car!
  5. We made the road trip to Goulburn easy enough... Traffic on Pennant Hills Rd was a bit ordinary but expected for a Friday arvo... So we stopped at the Workers Club for a feed, had a King T Rex for dinner... EPIC!!! So good!
  6. Next up for the Friday was to go collect the tyre from Mayfield and get it fitted somewhere... Unfortunately by the time i managed to get the tyre it was only a couple of hours before i was due to leave for Goulburn and it was already 38 degrees so i thought i would get them to swap the tyre at the place i collected it from... This was a mistake! $50 later i had 2 tyres on the car and it loaded back on the trailer ready to go... So at this stage i thought all was well and i was good to get on track...
  7. Darren @ Tomago Automotive does our work cars and was kind enough to give me access to his workshop for the Friday morning so i could do the Engine oil change and also the diff oil change as it was getting quite noisey... While on the hoist i fixed up a power steer leak that had occured recently and gave it a general check over... All looked abused but in good shape
  8. So Track Day Club on Nov 1 was interesting for all the wrong reasons... Not an ideal day due to some silly things but will get to that... First off i thought i better sort out the front suspension and tyres to stop cooking the outer edges, purchased a set of Cusco camber arms from Jesse Streeter (Incredible service as always ) and sent the car down to Road2Race for the alignment etc.... To our surprise and i will say i guess disappointment we could get no more the -3 degrees of camber from these arms... It was not a huge improvement on where i already was... It seems i will need the lower arms to match to be able to get the desired camber level... This will happen over summer as the car will be having a break (Read that as the wallet will be having a break lol)
  9. Was good to see you out on track mate
  10. I have another pic and some video for you too mate, will get it uploaded when i get a chance
  11. Hey mate, thanks to you and the guys for making the trip up! It was good to catch up with you all again... Speed down the straight was lower then last time out as i could not get the car to pull up properly... Ill update the thread with the reasons why when i get a chance... I havent checked the Haltech for the speed yet but when we had Matts timing gear in the car it was only around the 190-200 mark as i was not using 5th and was lifting off at the tower... Will get the small issues sorted and get back and set a decent time soon!
  12. Ill be down there mate... Weather not looking flash in the long range forecast so far... Also, havent been able to get another tyre
  13. Its Ryan, so drag queen for sure But i am pretty sure he would want and all rounder, drift, drag, circuit and fun
  14. There is a DIY/info thread in the Motorsport section i think... Also take a peak at James work on Grumblebee etc to get some ideas... One of the GTT guys on that FB page has one on his red GTT, said it was just a generic one from RHD Japan and just modified to fit, however from memory it was silly expensive!
  15. The wastegate was the issue from what i saw And it was PB's for James... Car looked epic on track!
  16. I run 6.5 front and 5 rear... Stops real good
  17. They do work at SMSP South as you dont have high speed braking... At Wakie on the otherhand the A1RM are shite... I ran them on my car for a few sets but since switching to Winmax have not had the problems with pad fade...

They have seats and steering wheels etc in stock to try out so its worth the drive! They seem pretty helpful so far over the phone and also came recommended from Boz

  23. Here is a slow look at the track in our tow car... I live just up the road from Ringwood so if Neil is up there upsetting the old fellas ill be in for a spectate lol http://youtu.be/ADsBhU96OiQ?list=UU-dlM9EpZ2R-Vuo-ds7iO1Q
  24. You need to have the valve springs and retainers done etc to sustain the higher revs... Its not ideal but its not as if you are cruising down the freeway on 8k
