  1. It gets like that! Itll all be worth it on that first drive though
  2. You dont want lag BUT you are looking at a GTX and in a 42 frame?
  3. They tend to hold together pretty well! Ill admit mine has had a hard life too! Its been overheated (Well got warm but Haltech shut it down) and also had a LOT of fuel dramas which caused all sorts of bad AFRs early days... I try to keep it off the limiter but it still gets spun to just over 8000rpm when up it haha
  4. Oh and another interesting thing, i had been complaining about traction issues.... The wheel alignment showed i had 2.2 deg neg camber in the rear so we dialled that out and it was MUCH better... You can see the rear wheels standing upright now! Amazing what a difference it made!
  5. The cruiser wasnt just the tow rig on the track day, i ended up getting stuck with double duties and had to be the recovery vehicle as well... Not ideal when you are trying to enjoy a track day but what can you do, at least the first lap on the track was in a turbo vehicle lol -
  6. One thing i am happy to report is that the Tow Rig was awesome! This was the first chance we had to test it out... We were worried the 35s may cause an issue and a few other things but it was faultless, we hooked up the hire trailer which looks like crap but tows amazing, was SO easy to load and unload too being a tilt trailer, basically drove out of the driveway and pulled the car around town to check it out, was really good... Plenty of torque and nice and stable, only time it felt a bit sketchy was hitting standing water on the highway when it was pissing down rain but even then i dropped back to 90 and it was stable az.....
  7. My engine is still going strong! 11000kms on over 350kw now
  8. Looks good man!
  9. Have you got a side on shot now its fitted mate? Been keen to do the same but worried itll look odd :S
  10. Yeah Carmen did it for me, takes a bit of time but costs bugger all! I like it
  11. Heaps! Will have a look through them soon and post some!
  12. Got some track pics to come soon too! just gotta get them sorted
  13. My GTT's first time out of the shed in a long while -
  14. Dat HTA3076
  15. Thanks mate! Dont think there is any video of it other than the Go Pro footage and it had the cover on it so not too much sound picked up.... Was good fun anyway
  16. The day was good but i couldnt get more than a couple of laps in, by the time the tyres were warm enough the engine bay seemed to be the same and goodbye silicon hose... At first it blew the cooler pipes off which was no big deal but after that it upgraded to blowing the silicon hose open - I ran down to Plazmaman and grabbed another one and tried again, same deal... No good! Such a silly little issue to have but it basically called the day over and done with... In saying that i got to go out and have a great time with a great bunch of SAU members! I will get proper alloy piping done (Which honestly should have been done from the start) and get back into it.... It has caused a Vac leak of some form which i now also have to find. This is just a quick video of the passenger session with Carmen in the car -
  17. I DID make the SAU NSW track day just in time, but i had some silly little gremlins... The car felt great when it was going and i can see it being a hell of a lot of fun once i fix some issues with it... The Cruiser towed it easily - Passed Scrutineering no worries - A dodgy pic from on track (A few good shots to come soon once Carmen sorts through them) -
  18. I have not had time to update this thread and wont have time to do a proper update for a couple of weeks, but just so you know the suspension issue was sorted and the car was thrown back together... We test drove it down the street and found a nice spot for a couple of pics - Not bad for a quick clean and random pic location!
