  2. Its true. My mate was pulled over 3-4 weeks ago driving his uncomplied aristo with plates off another car with expired rego. The cop showed him the scanner and said a few cop cars with a yellow line have them and are doing a trial. The cop was driving in the oppesite direction and did a u turn to pull him over. $1000 in fines He use to drive the aristo with plates from his celsior that was the same color and was still registered and Im sure that would have been fine even if it was scanned but he had just sold the celsior 2 days eariler so he chucked some other plates he had on. I think he learnt his lesson.... (This was Brisbane Qld)
  3. Manual 1jzgte JZX90 / JZX100 / JZX110 I had a Jzx90 and loved it but decided to modify a R33 to a drift car as aftermarket parts and spare parts a much easier to source and cheaper then the Jzx90. If your never driven a standard manual Jzx90 / Jzx100 / Jzx110 with 1jzgte I recommend you try.
  4. Its a shit situaltion but I dont think you where ripped off. Ripped off is paying and getting nothing. Repco have given me the wrong parts a few times and I have not realised till I had the whole thing apart. They wont pay for labour for supplying the wrong part so I dont know why an internet trader would. As long as they offer a refund or replace it with the correct part then thats all they have to do under consumer law as sales do not usually cover "incidental expenses exceeding the original cost of the item" Just take your business elsewhere next time.
  5. This is my fault as I told him he could do it but have been slow sending him a printout from the fast system. DOTARs accept the Nissan fast system printout for import apprrovals on Nissans instead of the dereg papers under the old 15 year rule and Current Pre 89 rule becuase jap dereg papers are not always available (for example importing a Nissan from NZ). I used to do it when I imported a few nissan cars under the old rule.
  6. I had a Rb25DET motor from a 97 R33 GTS-T. I had it for sale for ages(3 or 4 months). perfect motor. Finally sold it for $1500 complete with loom, Turbo. gave honest description on the ads My mate bought a 96 GTS-T which had 1 cylinder was down on compression. He took the motor out and put a used piston in, new headgasket degreased the motor and then put it up for sale as fully rebuilt with rb26 rods, ACL bearings, N1 Pump etc etc etc. I was horrified.(And I never use that word) He said that there was to many rb25s for sale at the moment so he had to make his stand out abit. He got $2200 within a week (No Turbo) shit like this pisses me off even if he is a mate. Put me off buying used parts that have claims of being "rebuilt" What do you guys think
  7. Yeah these are excellent for drifting being damper adjustable with hard springs. I also recommend you fit some alloy cradle bushes ($100 off ebay) I ran these coilovers and some alloy cradle bushes on the rear of my r33 for drifting and it was great . (see attached pic) I just spent another $2500 on new KTS Coilovers, Cusco adustable front and rear camber / caster / traction arms/rods and I have not felt any improvement Wish I had not wasted my money

GTS-T are 16x6.5" +40 offset and are Cast wheels GTR are 16x8" +30 offset and are Forged wheels Both designs are the same just the gtr are stronger being forged and stick out further becuase they are wider and have a lower +offset. Cast and forged are the way wheels are made. I think cast are just pored into a mold and forged are machined out of a piece of steel. (maybe someone can confirm)being forged is much more expensive and creates a stonger wheel.
  10. I had the same problem with an rb25 powerfc. I had 2 both with rb25 serial. I reset both of them. 1 would start and drive fine. The other would stall at idle but would drive if you keep the revs above 2000rpm but under 2000rpm it would just die. Even if you reset them to factory defualt they dont seem to work the same.
  11. Condition is excellent. I bought the complete car off another SAU member who crashed and engine and box where still 100%
  12. Its only $80 to get some 2 new bushes squeezed in, or you can get adjustable arms from $120. No reason to buy new arms as the bushes are easily replaced. It would be like buying new wheels and tyres when you only need tyres. S14, S15, R33 are the same part I believe
  13. MDU are chinese and sold by a guy on ebay who sells alot of chinese performance parts. I think they start at $699 + delivery. I have bought abit of stuff from him (Non moving parts like intercoolers, gear knobs, Oil Coolers)and they are fine to use but cheap quality and dont expect any geniune type of warranty. I am sure they will be cheap quality like the other stuff but let us know how you go if you do buy them as theres nothing else really for that price.
  14. I know this is an old question but I used some supercheap auto flush on my sr20det motor and 10 minutes later 1 of the bearing started rattling. Cost me $500 to get new bearing shells fitted
  15. I bought 1/2 my upgrade parts from ebay. Main problem are cheap turbos with no warranty but other parts are usually fine.

  20. Depends how you drive. I have a R33 gtst 4 Door which was standard except exhaust and pod filter. My brand new standard clutch lasted 2 months and 2 drift practice sessions at Archerfield. I now run an Xtreme 1200kg pressure plate I got for free and a $174 4 Pluk Brass button (Exceedy I think) I got from Slacks Creek brake and clutch and its lasted 15 drift practice sessions + 6 months of normal street driving a still seems 100%
  21. I better get one of those r34 4 door auto front cuts. They must be special!
