ill get prices on normal hoses and braided and will post them up in the next week or so
gets the power to all 4 wheels - 4 wheels pushing the car forward instead of 2 - faster off the line. that and the 4wd means GTR -->twin turbo --> more power
locking diff has no give. my mate has one in his 'line and whenever he chucks a u-turn you hear the tyres skidding as one is travelling more distance than the other but the locker diff will only let them spin at the same time.
LSD (limited slip diff) much better. lets you turn without problems will save you heaps on tyres and will perform better overall. more costly though but remember, its only money.
sloppy diff each wheel spins completely independently of the other. standard boring no good for track work but cheaper.
i dont know if this helps but my car was having trouble starting when cold but that was the battery. i replaced it and now its fine. it sounds like you might have done something to it when you cleaned the filter and AFM??? might just be a coincidence. my car seems to be one problem after another just got my clutch fixed and now my water pump has died. its getting rather annoying.
I have in my posession 6 of the standard r32 gtst rims that i would like to get rid of. If for some reason anyone would want them (selling your skyline and want to keep your aftermarket rims, burnout wheels or whatever). they are pretty average looking a couple are gutter rolled. if you're after a complete set you can pick the 4 best looking ones.
Make an offer.
i live on the sunshine coast. transport will be at your expence but i can deliver them if you live in the area.
will be putting pictures up soon.
got some elec contact cleaner onto mine and i have my right headlight back. yay i used to have to really flick the switch hard for the right to come on but now its fine.
i know its kind of obvious but it sounds like you might have blown a fuse. check all the fuses and if they are all fine then you may have a short somewhere in your wiring. you may have to rip out most of the dash to find it but hopefully its just at the back of your head unit somewhere.
i just fixed up my mates stuffup with installing his headunit and sub. he didnt solder any wires and he missed a few all together. make sure any wires you dont find a use for get some electrical tape around the ends to stop them shorting on anything.
im running r32 gtr rims on the back and r32 gtst rims on the front. Thinking something in a 55 profile. what tyres are good? not looking for really expensive ones either.
stop bickering about what does and doesnt make a good representation of power. If u do a mod to u r happy with the increase in power. then thats all there is to it. and if u want to crunch numbers all day long talk about something worth while. like GTR700 (Australia's fastest GTR!!!) At stage 1 (stock bottom end) it was pushing out about 450kW at all 4 wheels. when the engine got pulled apart for more work there was nothing wrong with it. the RB bottom end can take a huge amount of power without complaints.
If u want an accurate comparison of 2 cars put them on the same dyno one after the other. it aint gonna get much more accurate than that.
