  1. after a full set of 4 gts25t calipers or even r32 gtr calipers. r34 gtr stock wheels also. hopefully with centre caps. cheers.
  2. thanks heaps. Yes i'd love to upgrade to gtr items but gts25t shall do for now as when the time comes that i require 6 spot calipers i'll probably buy an off the shelf kit brand new. I figured id pick up the calipers from somebody whose upgraded/wrecked a 33 for a couple of hundred, rebuild them and they should do me well for quite a while! Added with coilovers stiffer front/rear swaybars, new bushes and decent rubber it should handle pretty well in the hills/track days. I plan on keeping my car n/a till off p's so I hope to make gains in the corners and learn good driving technique before jumping into something with flat out balls.
  3. could be keen shoot us a pm with the specs on them. The turbo calipers are 4 pot arnt they.
  4. no no coilovers yet but shall be ordering them sometime in the next month. my rotors have shit f**k all left in them, beyond machining I'd say. Just havn't had the funds to be able to fix them till recently. I want to go to a few track days in the future so i'm going to go for some bigger than standard slotted rotors all round, despite the fact my car is n/a i'd rather have more braking force than I really require than not enough when I need it. So the plan is r33 calipers front and rear? Do you know about my question regarding r33 turbo rotors for the rear? cheers mate.
  5. I have an r34 non turbo due to p's yeah its slow whatever, i enjoy it. I do not enjot the brakes! I want to upgrade to bigger rotors as mine are wearing and figured id get some more manly calipers to match. However, i'm unsure about a few things. Due to my 34 being a GT model to upgrade the rear end i'd need r33 gts25t calipers? aswell as rotors for a r33 gts25t? as r34 turbo items will not fit? Can I run r33 calipers on the front aswell? Or do I need to hunt down r34 gtt calipers for the front to run with r34 gtt rotors? I guess my understand at the moment is non turbs 34's run a similar setup to r33 turbos in the rear in regards to suspension and brakes however the front end is identical to the 34 gt-t? ie, coilover wise r33 items are a direct fit to 34 non turbos. cheers nissan gods.
  6. pleaseeeee they only aired it to take a dig at top gear because they didn't win the rights to broadcast the show.
  7. yeah I was afraid of scratching. easy as shit way to get them out is as follows. 1. jack up the side of the indicator your taking out to make access easier if your cars lowered. 2.undo the plastic underpanel. 3. reach up behind the bar and unplug the indicators. 4. feel for the steel clips that hold the indicators in place. 5. squeeze them and push forward. no paint scratches. no frustration. easiest way imo.
  8. bn sports bodykit slammed dish no spoilers.
  9. how f**ked is it? pics? chances are the fibreglass will need to be covered up with a highfill primer before paint so all id recommend doing is sanding it down with 400 gritt disc on a good orbital sander then taking it to your panel shop. don't get to involved with paint prep to save money, most of the time people get it wrong and create more work for the painter anyway. some spots on front bars cant be easily accessed with a sander so hand rub over them with 500 gritt.
  10. no, actually a good palm sander is alot nicer to the panel than hand sanding. if you sand it by hand your asking for trouble, the only parts of a car that should be hand sanded are where you've used highfill primers over body filler etc. even then hand sand over it with a hard block till its straight and smooth with 180-240 paper then go over that with a 400 gritt orbital disc, then go over that with a wet 1000 gritt disc to remove all the scratches.
  11. adjust the amount of paint going through the gun and run through a regulator. also maybe your compressor isn't big enough to paint an entire car with constant air flow. thats a common problem with backyarders. What gun is it?
  12. Do you buy 45L of red bull a week? apples/oranges/grapefruit/melons etc etc
  13. I'm a painter by trade and nowadays removing the windows isn't a necessity with most workshops having a product called trimtape which slots in behind the window rubbers and pulls them away from the body so we can sneak paint into all the hard places. If you really are a purist just get the windows removed by national windscreens and tow it to the shop as workshops will charge you a decent amount for window removal. better yet do it yourself. it's not THAT hard aslong as you take your time and be extremely gentle. subtle white pearls on white cars =teh hotnezz.
  14. come under the melbourne "wont somebody think of the children" p plate laws. looking for a daily to punt around in whilst I get my shit together and save dosh to build an ae71 4agze track car. not overly fussy. 2 door/4door/green/red/pink/rainbow doesn't matter what does matter is that it's a manual under 200,000km reg/roady straight body preferred but flexible. looking to spend 8-9 grand or around that mark. stock/modified doesn't really matter. would nice to have a decent diff though. post up what you have. would absolutely adore an rb25de varient. but I know they're getting rather hard to find, specially in manual form.
