  1. Nah man, I just like the tuna.
  2. Bahahahaha made my day!! 30-mins till my working day finishes suckersssss
  3. ???
  4. Hahahaha thanks for the input guys. I do like them but again, unconvinced that it'll actually look good. The vent is stuck on but does require the bonnet to be cut if it was to actually work (what I was wanting to do). Wouldn't install it if it wasn't going to function as a vent for heat extraction. Anywhoo, thanks heaps for the thoughts guys, looks like I might skip the bonnet as it doesn't appear to be too many fans
  5. Need your opinion guys. Looking at installing a Walkinshaw bonnet vent on the SS-V but not entirely convinced yet. I love the look of it but not sure how it'd look on my car. Main reason for getting the vent is I've noticed the amount of heat trapped under the bonnet is ridiculous, and apparently the ECU in the VE's retard timing like a mother when it gets overly hot. Pic of my SS-V halfway down the page here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/329280-victorian-post-your-ride-thread/page__st__1860 Pic of the Walkinshaw scoop I'm referring to here: http://www.caradvice.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/FR4E7195-625x416.jpg http://www.hp-f.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/powerhood_01_full.jpg http://www.stationwagonforums.com/forums/gallery/files/4/2/7/1/26s.jpg Yay or nay? Be a fag without a vent or be a fag with a vent?

Would.ve lo ved to of kept her for years to come but I guess life just pans out the way it does ey? Baahahaahahhaahhaahah Full factory spec. Only mods are the window tint and the air filter

    R33Jet Is No More =(

I was actually thinking about them but going by some of the reviews, the AWD system is quite primative and other than off-the-line launches, is quite nose-heavy into corners. Def no GTR by any means in terms of the handling stakes if I was flailing around in cash, I'd still get one though haha

    R33Jet Is No More =(

Hey hey, good to see you made it on SAU!! Too easy mate, fire away. No doubt about that at all, hence why it's such a consideration haha

    R33Jet Is No More =(

Yep, still rocking some of the work you did for me Scott. Thanks heaps for all the help, especially with the amount of times I needed stuff on short-notice lol Unfortunatly, that's the truth. Too many banged up ones getting around which sell for dirt cheap, which means well-looked after ones can't even demand the price they should Thanks mate. Well I'm hoping in a few years time I'll get back into either a R34 GTR or a HSV GTO Coupe but will wait and see besides, the SAU forums are HEAPS better than any other Holden/HSV forum I've been on haha Sold as is, RWC left to the buyer Thanks mate. Made it that much harder to let go though Hahahaha that's true Word. Within 24hrs? Wow, that was a quick sale lol Yeah, not buying a house in that neighbourhood haha I'll have a few years to think about what the next project is, whether a 2 door commo or a GTR lol
  11. Well, the day I thought would never come, has finally came. This afternoon I officially handed the keys of my beloved R33 GTS-t (better known as R33JET to some) to its new owner to embark on its new life. Since I never made a Build Thread, I guess here's a quick summary on what will probably be the last topic I'll ever post regarding the R33 boat. Since purchasing the car 3 years ago stock as a rock, I've modified it with the intention of keeping the car for quite literally decades lol But as most people know, circumstances change and before you know it, somethings gotta give. In this case, it was the 33. Having two cars, two insurance bills, two rego bills and two fuel bills just didn't sit right, especially when one of the cars gets less than 5000kms a year under its belt (the R33 if you're still wondering). Over the years, I've met an amazing bunch of people via SAU and though I will probably be on the forums even less than before, I'll still be lurking around every now and then (mainly in the Wasteland threads hahaha). To everyone who have helped me with my car over the years, a big thanks to you guys, couldn't of done it without you. Also a big thanks to Rob down at Sabbadin Automotive, he has been an absolute champion and even though I don't have the ol' 33 anymore, I'll still continue to have him work his magic on my dirty 6-litre VE SS-V (he loves this car..... not hahaha ). To anyone who hasn't given Sabbadin Automotive a go, I urge you guys to give him a try. His work is second to none and is down-to-earth easy to get along with. Always have a good laugh with him everytime I pop down I chose to drop the car off at the buyer's house for two reasons: 1. They lived on the other side of the city and I thought I'd help them out by driving it to them 2. I didn't have to see the car get driven away. I hope the new owner takes good care of the car, the same way I have over the years. For those that know me, know how much I baby this car (I'm usually the slowest on cruises because I simply refuse to boot it to catch up lol) so I can only hope the new owner looks after her well by treating her with the utmost respect and not just a car to thrash about and beat up. The car makes a bit over 300kw @ the rear wheels so hopefully the new owner is an enthusiast and not a "hoon", as I'd hate to see the car get impounded, blow its motor or worse. Next project? Looking to focus on buying a house first, then maybe in a few years I'll begin looking for another car. If my R33 came back up for sale again at the right point in time, I would definetly be interested in buying it back. However, chances of that happening are very slim so I guess the two most probable options are either a Bayside Blue R34 GTR V-Spec II or a Devil Yellow 2005 HSV GTO Coupe. Sorry for the long and boring read, but I guess this is a new chapter of my life. Days of opening the garage door and being greeted by the iconic stovetop tailights for me are over. Nothing there, but just an emtpy parking spot now. Thanks for all the memories everyone, and hopefully will keep in touch with as many of you as possible
  12. I believe that Plazmaman used to release the plenums with the AAC mounted onto the actual plenum itself but changed the design to a remote AAC block so as to not interfere with fitment of larger injectors? The block allows a certain degree of freedom when mounting the AAC (provided your lines and wires are long enough).
  13. That's definetly on the cards, but was hoping that would be a "last resort" sorta thing as I'm forever busy with work and family so hoping an interstate buyer snaps it up as I would have to de-rego it and they'd have to get their own RWC anyway. I was actually going to PM you, seeing as you're the only person I know of that has sold their modded '33 recently. Judging by the number of genuine enquiries, I was thinking I was in the ball park in terms of figure but wasn't 100% sure so thought I'd ask you fellas. How much did you end up selling your car for and did you supply a RWC for them too? Feel free to PM if you don't wanna discuss it in the forum
  14. Hey, Didn't wanna start a new thread for it but what do you guys reckon would be a good starting price would be for me to sell my car? I've had about a 7-8 enquires so far but no-one has been able to come up with the money (unable to get finanace, don't have enough money etc.). I listed a starting price of $16,500 but was hoping for $15,000 or so once all is said and done. What do you guys reckon? Too high in the price range or should I be firm with the $15k price and just wait it out until someone does have the money? http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/nissan-skyline-1997-13712803?base=1216&vertical=Car&cr=0&eapi=2&__N=1246+1252+1247+1282+1216&find=r33jet|CarAll&silo=Stock&num=15&sort=default
  15. Thanks Simon, looks great. Will check it out tomorrow, so just let me know where you're checking out the car for your sis and I'll be there Thanks mate.
  16. No worries mate, cheers. Not too keen on the SS-turbos just yet, but I'll keep you in mind if I do decide to go down that path
  17. Hey naga, Is the CNC compressor wheel the same as the Hypergear SS hi-flow turbos?
  18. Maybe tyre profile or offset gives it the impression it's massive? lol Cheers fellas Fronts: 19x8.5 +22 Rears: 19x9.5 +22 plus 20mm spacer
  19. G'day Simon, Yeah I thought it was you!! I just couldn't remember the username Thanks for chiming in mate, I'll shoot you a text now cos Saturday sounds good
  20. Any chance of a cheaper 2nd hand unit Stao? And you're quite the opposite to local from me Stao hahaha but I might be heading up your way later next week, so I might swing past
  21. Yeah, I've toyed with that idea Birds but was hoping to appeal to prospective buyers who wanted soemthing with a bit more poke than standard. Will more than likely be looking for a second hand hi-flowed turbo though, provided I find it responsive enough how local/un-local are you from Berwick Birds? Baahahaaha this guy! Thought it was a new brand of turbo I've never heard before hahaha
  22. The hell is a Perry past?
  23. Ahhh I see. Well the car will be returned to look stock under the bonnet and then getting sold so not sure if I want to shell out the extra coin for the SS1. Only reason I'm doing this is apparently it's impossible to get a RWC with a modded car, even if the brakes, tyres, lights etc. are all in perfect condition. So going for the stealth look so would be easier to sell with a RWC.
  24. Thanks for the reply fellas. I'm pretty sure I met Odium before but didn't think to ask. I'm from Berwick, which is in the South East. You able to help Birds?
  25. Not sure what I was expecting from SAU but still looking lol
