  1. Hey, Just a quick question regarding replacing my fugged dash cluster (tacho needle died) with a working one from another car. Car/cluster in question is a S2 R33 GTS-t. Do I need to "callibrate" the cluster (in particular the fuel level) when I replace the old cluster with the new? Hard to explain but say I had a full tank of fuel and then replaced the cluster with the new one, which might have been taken out of a car with only half a tank of fuel. Will the cluster re-adjust itself or do I ened to "reset" the fuel level gauge? Cheers.
  2. SOLD to Odium!! Enjoy your new wheels mate
  3. Selling for a few reasons actually. One being not getting driven enough, two being needing a house deposit and thirdly I don't need 2 cars LOL Yeah, the turbos have been great fun haha I haven't touched the munched one yet though, still on the look out for a new compressor so I can replace it. Next step I'm thinking of getting some manifolds and dumps and have it all mounted up so it shows the exhaust side of a RB26 Definetly a convo starter for sure. Yeah, that's what's putting me off from changing it back to stock. Would much rather someone enjoy it in its current state. Thanks for the kind words mate
  4. Hey Grant, long time no speak mate. Yeah unfortunatley it's time for the 33 to go I had a feeling I'm going to have to weld up that hole (which is no biggy) and return to stock, but hopefully I'll find a mechanic who is a bit more "relaxed" regarding aftermarket mods.
  5. WHAT?!?!?! You mean I wasn't getting an invite in the first place?! HAHAHA When's our catch up mate?
  6. BUMP! Reasonable offers will be considered and probably accepted hahaha
  7. Thanks GTRRKT! Nice and clean engine bay mate, pretty much exactly how I want my (future haha) R34 GTR to look under the bonnet. Mint brakes too btw, are they Alcons or AP? Or soemthing compeltely different? My bay looks like this and comapred to the other clean and stealthy engine bays shown, I don't think I'd be able to get away with much unless I low-mount and paint things matt black?
  8. Thanks Smokey, will keep that in mind if I decide not to part out. Aaron, your mechanic (and GTRRKT's mechanic) sounds like the sorta bloke I'd be looking to as I still want him to pick me up on safety things but not get picky because the car is not "standard". Everything is mounted/installed correctly (I'm a Mechancial Engineer and fussy as all hell LOL) so defiently not a backyard jobby. Could you PM some details so I can have a chat to him when the time arises (I can't PM anyone for some reason)? Thnaks guys!
  9. BAHAHAHAH 101%?!?!?! Can you PM who did the RWC for you? They sound like reasonable and realistic testers. Don't get me wrong, no way would I get a RWC that would skimp on things like tyres, lights, brakes etc (eg. stuff that will KILL the seller if it wasn't up to scratch), just more so looking for a "rational" workshop that realises that a pod filter won't murder someone LOL
  10. Dammit. So I guess parting it out will be my only option I guess. You guys reckon it could be a good diea to find someone who has a stock R33 GTS-t and wants the goods and just do a changeover? Or would I be better off just trawling the classifieds and looking for stock parts and do my own swap?
  11. Thanks for the reply Aaron. Was this how you went about selling your S14 also? I really don't want to part the car out as I find it to be a very good balance for street duties and would prefer someone appreciate it as it is
  12. Hey, Starting to get a bit more serious with the selling of my 33' GTS-t and was wondering how have people gone about selling their cars if it was fairly modified? I know for sure to get a RWC you need good tread on tyres, wiper blades are good, all lights work and brakes are all good amongst other safety checks but was more wondering if things like a high-mount turbo, different plenum, aftermarket ECU etc. can cause a workshop to knock back giving out a RWC? I guess when the car does sell, this question is bound to get asked so thought I'd ask now so I have the answers when I need it Cheers.

    Powercruise?

If they held a Powercruise event in VIC, I would defenitly enter. Have always though about going interstate to enter but the logistics have put me off from doing it.
  14. BUMP!
  15. Thanks guys, but I still reckon it's nowhere near as good as some of the ones I've seen featured from SAU (eg. can't remember the name but it's a white 32 GTR built to be a RH9 contender. Somewhere in Queensland I think. Dude also has a 33 GTR too) Tai1or Made: S2 > S1 hahahahaha Terry: Nah, it was some bloke called Jun I think. I heard about Eric Tang before and wouldn't getting some pics from him, but I heard he heavily digitally alters the photos though?
  16. Hey, Just looking for a couple of things: - R33 GTS-t manual cluster (series 2) with approx. 110,000kms (give or take). My car currently has close to 100,000kms on it at the moment but the tacho has died on me so looking to replace rather than repair. NEEDS TO BE IN FULL WORKING ORDER!!! - R33 GTS-t series 2 steering wheel (only the wheel, don't need the airbag). Looked like the previous owner had munched on the wheel for lunch cos he was hungry. Doesn't need to be perfect, but minimal marks on the wheel would be great I'm located in VIC so can pick up or happy to pay for postage if interstate. Either PM me or shoot me a text on 0402 732 860. Cheers.
  17. Hey, Just thought I'd post up that my car is currently featured in this months (November Issue #154) issue of Performance Imports and I'm stoked!! LOL Just like to thank everyone here on the forums who have helped out, whether it be helping me put the car together or just contributing to the forums with their knowledge. I would literally spend hours trawling the forums for tech info and first hand accounts from everyone and without the extensive SAU database of knowledge, there would be no way I could've built the car up to the point it is now. I made a special shoutout in the article about the SAU forums so once again, thanks heaps to everyone for making the forums so informative I know SAU has a rich history of having member cars being featured in various magazines (and to be honest, some of the cars featured are downright mint compared to mine) so I guess you can add another car to the list Here are the pics from the article so if you guys are interested, grab a copy to read more about it (sorry for dodgy phone pics).
  18. SOLD Mods please close thread
