Gonna have to agree with a couple of the other blokes here regarding LS-into-FD. There's entire kits (and tutorials if you're keen on tackling it yourself) from the US that would be far cheaper than fabbing up components to make a 26 fit into the bay of a FD.
  2. If you can get this off the ground, could be interested
  3. And to answer your question, no power will ever be enough. I've ended up with just a tad over 300rwkw from my GTS-t and to be honest, I reckon it still needs more power LOL
  4. A laggy turbo that has a useful powerband of say, 5500RPM through to 7000RPM will feel fast (ramps up onto boost quickly) but will actually be slow compared to a car with a more useful powerband. Big difference between "feeling fast" and actually "being fast" and it's all in the powerband.
  5. Did a search but only found close answers but not exact. Looking at 19x8.5 +22 up front and 19x9.5 +22 down back. These are going on a r33 GTS-t. Looking for an aggressive fitment without needing to flare guards so will this size and offset be ok? Don't want it looking mexican but don't mind if wheels poke out a little bit. Already have rolled guards and have camber arms. Cheers.
  6. Hahaha you know it'll only do you good the sooner you get out of the peninsula and into the REAL suburbs haha
  7. Mate, head to Sabbadin. He's done a fair bit of work on my car and he's tip top. Just tell him Andrew with R33JET sent you and he'll look after you He's also in Mulgrave (technically it's Mulgrave but you could argue it's on the border of Clayton LOL)
  8. Ahhh I see. So would say, a fused 30A 4-pin relay do the trick?
  9. Hmm I see. If that's the case, why didn't Apexi just use the white wire (the one that is supposed to be connected to the relay) just fire a +ve current when the RPM is reached, and simply having the shift light earthed on one end so when the +ve is activated, it just lights up? Because the relay system is a bit "blurry" to me at the moment lol
  10. Thanks for the reply fellas. Clicking won't bother me that much as the car would be on full noise anyway by the time the light activates. Sorry for the noob question but is a relay kinda like a switch? If so, how come the one that you've linked Titan has 4 legs/connections?
  11. Sorry to dig up an old thread, but saves me from making a new thread on the same topic lol I've got the Apexi shift light and was wondering what relay people have used for the shift light and what do they reccomend? I typed "12v relay" into Jaycar and it came up with 20 pages worth of different types of relays so I'm a bit lost to be honest. Also, WTF is a relay anyway?
  12. Thanks for all the info fellas, greatly appreciated. Now I jsut gotta scratch and save for some injectors and a tune. I'll give you a buzz when I'm all good to go Scott
  13. Nah u shouldn't need to for a while I don't think quite a few are running it without issues Yeah, I didn't think so either. Mechanic reckons $250-$300 to get the fuel lines sorted, which isn't a huge amount in the grand scheme of things but that's $250-$300 which can go towards new top-feed injectors and a re-tune hehe Oh, also read you've joined the Garrett GTX club. Welcome haha
  14. I'll keep that option in mind. My tuner has done a few 044s and I've spoken to a couple of guys that have run 044s in tank and they all seem to be running fine so I'll roll the dice with the 044 in there now and if it fails, I'll look into the walbro Did you need to upgrade fuel lines to be E85 compatible? My mechanics reckons I should but most of the guys running E85 are still using the stock lines. Geeze, United need to update their website cos the Davey St one is only listed as stocking Premium 100. Sounds like E85 is the go for me then, as soon as I can figure out which top-feed injectors are gonna fit under the Plazmaman plenum lol Nah, not a daily so just means I have to drive the double S in the mornings if I wanna go anywhere haha
  15. Yeah, Hallam isn't TOO bad, but just means it's outta my way if I had to fill up before heading up towards Pakky Another reason for my relucatance to embrace the 85 is I've got a 044 mounted in-tank and heard they die pretty quickly when using E85. Anyone running E85 through their 044 in-tank?
  16. The 33 stays in Berwick most of the time but also keep it in Frankston occasionally too. Only Uniteds I know of that stock around those two areas are Patto Lakes and Hallam
  17. I'll be finished at around 9-ish mate, so unless you guys plan on leaving Monash at 10-ish, I'll have to catch up with you guys along the way. Haha yeah mate, you're welcome to pick my brains tonight about it and happy to take you for a drive mate, all good
  18. Might be able to meet you guys further on down the track, just found out I'll be finishing work earlier than I first thought So Blah Blah, keep me in the loop mate And Jukic, I'll have a spare seat if ya need mate (Y) but only if you don't mind 300rwkw of RB goodness though hahaha
  19. Heard a rumour that United is going to equip more servos with E85. Any truth in that or is it simply just a rumour? Would love to get the 33 on E85 full-time but the lack of nearby servos that stock it worries me lol
  20. You got PM blah blah
  21. I'm a no-go if it's early Saturday night
  22. Fridays and Sundays work the best for me
  23. Fixed lol Meet turned out to be huge and alot of nice looking cars out. Nice to meet a few new people, but I'm heaps anti-social so meeting 5 new people in one go meant I met my quota for the night baahahaha Seen alot photos get taken so anyone got a link to the pics (other than Oscar's)?
  24. Pre-meet time and place for the SE and bayside people has been confirmed. Either PM me or Leroy for the details
