  1. Just received an EPA letter for Exhaust Noise so need to get it tested. After scouring through the thread, can it still be confirmed it is just a noise test (no checking under bonnet)? Reason I ask is because at the very bottom right hand corner of the letter, on the back (presumably so no-one can see it) is written "manafacturer specified emission equipment to be functional". Does that refer to exhaust requirements such as a working cat converter? Or does it mean under-bonnet systems too? My charcoal cannister has been binned and the PCV valve is gone too (using RB26 rocker covers) so if it's just a noise test, then I'm fine (checked regulations from the 2003 EPA handbook, section 10 and 13 as mentioned on letter and only mention exhaust noise limit but nothing about emission systems like PCV and carbon cannister).

    Spotted Thread

Spotted W0rp3d rounding off bolts on my car haha top bloke
  3. Thanks for all the replies fellas. Car is a street car and doesn't really get tracked so it looks like I'll go for the rubber bush end camber arms Cheers.
  4. As most have said, the seats need to be ADR approved. On top, the rails will also need to be ADR approved. This is where an engineer comes in. Being a mechanical engineer myself, I had a chat to one of the engineers who offer the VASS certs and to get seats "legal", it must meet the above criteria. Hopefully this info helps
  5. Hey, I did a search but came up fruitless. I'm about to purchase some camber arms for my R33 GTS-t and have the option of either pillow ball ends or rubber bush ends. Considering both are the same price, which one should I be purchasing? Pros and cons? Cheers
  6. Thanks mate! I LOVE BBS wheels and wish I can afford to put them on every single car I ever hope to own hahaha Yep, what Granthem said. It's a full Explosive kit (front bar, side skirt and rear half-bar). I used to have the Nismo front lip with the usual Spec-M skirts and rear pods but wanted something that looked almost factory without being over-the-top with vents everywhere
  7. Sorry for the massive pics, it didn't even look that big in the preview LOL
  8. Thanks to Aaron for the photos
  9. Had some photos done by Aaron (Evade) over the weekend and would reccomend him to anyone needing photos. Very helpful and awesome to work with and I'll definetly be getting photos from him again later on down the track
  10. Anyone?
  11. Hey, I'm just after some 2.5" intercooler piping. Specifically after some straight pipe but pretty much interested in any, regardless of bends (prefer black in colour if possible). Scratches/minor cosmetic blemishes not an issue. Not interested in banged up pipes. I'm located in S.E of VIC but willing to travel to get pipes as long as it's not 2 hours away haha Cheers.
  12. LMAO mate, you woulda been shitting bricks cos I know I would of!! In fact, I'm still shitting bricks cos there's an EPA notice somewhere in the mail for me telling me to bring the car back to stock for testing But if you ever need a Engineer's Cert (VASS Cert they call it these days) for the hole, let me know and I can help you out, but it would no doubt be cheaper (and easier) to just fill the hole in and paint over it and pretend it was never there (unless you're going for a front-facing plenum).
  13. Yeah mate, I've got a front-facing Plazmaman plenum so I have a hole cut out where the washer bottle used to be. My car is actually defected at the moment and one of the requirements was that I get a VASS (Engineers Cert) for the hole. Being a mechanical engineer myself, it took alot of work and alot of persuading before I could get someone to formally assess it. Definetly should have stuck with the return flow cooler like you mentioned haha
  14. Hey mate, it's all good. I've got some pics so I should be set. Thanks anyway mate
  15. 89Cal, you're a legend!! The second photo is pretty much the exact type of photo I'm after Thanks heaps for that mate, you got PM If anyone else has some they can share, let me know
  16. I know what you mean but I'm actually after a picture of the cold side of the intercooler piping passing through the chassis where the washer bottle used to be.
  17. Hey, I've already psoted this in the VIC section but thought I'd psot for the rest of the SAU'ers out there. I'm just after some hi-res pics of people who have a R33 GTR or GTS-t with their intercooler piping running from the drivers side where the washer bottle used to be (like in the photo below). If you could PM me that'd be awesome Cheers.
  18. Hey, I'm just after someone who owns a R33 GTS-t or GTR that has intercooler piping running through the drivers side where the washer bottle used to be, like in the photo. Preferbly from the S.E who is willing to meet up so I can grab a couple of pics. Or even better yet, if they're able to grab some hi-res pics for me and email them, it'd be greatly appreciated. Don't worry, I'm not trying to flog your car hahaha Cheers.
  19. Turbo and airbox still for sale?
  20. Is the cat back and canister still up for grabs?
  21. Anyone able to help?
  22. Sorry for the delay, but here's what I need translated. I've cut out all the sections I don't need and scanned the parts I need translated Click to View
  23. Hey, I'm just after someone who can help me translate a double sided A4-size instruction manual I received with my Defi VSD Sports. Tried 20+ pages of googling but links were either dead or not right. I'll scan the instructions in the next couple of days as it's with the mechanic at the moment but any help would be greatly appreciated Also happy to reimburse you for your time too Cheers.
  24. Sounds good mate. Shoot me a PM cos I just tried sending you one but it doesn't work
