  1. I had a similar problem to you a while ago but as it weird as it sounds, it turned out to be one of the pipes from the 'cooler that was a bit loose and was rubbing against something during startup. We found this out by letting it to roll to a stop whilst in gear so that it shudders (I know, bad for the car) to the point of stalling and voila, the knocking noise appeared due to the vibrations. Maybe give that a go?

  3. What rhymes with "stump'? ..... BUMP!! Haaaaaa C'mon, surely someone has one laying around collecting dust and could do with some extra weekend money if they sold it to meeeee
  4. BUMPIES
  5. Anyone? I hate it how I see a million of them for sale when I don't need one, but the second I need one, they cease to exist for sale LOL
  6. What dump and front pipe do you have and are you selling it?
  7. Hey mate, I've been looking at them for quite a while but figured it would be somewhere around the $190-$200 mark (mild steel) delivered to me (3806) and I don't have that money at the moment. If I did, I would be placing the order with you But since I don't have the $$$ just yet, I'm currently looking for a 2nd hand one. I'll see how I go, if nothing comes up for a while and I've managed to scrape the money together, I'll hit you up for one Cheers.
  8. You can try get them from Autostyle in Sydney cos with more or less all their R32 GTRs, they do the quad-headlight as above in the pic. I'm not sure if they will sell it to you directly though, but you can give it a go. Also, apparently your headlight lighting becomes fairly poor when you fit those as you dont have the refelctors anymore (could also be a defect too? Not sure on that one).

    Spotted Thread

Not sure who spotted me but I was parked at the AMC cinemas in Frankston to have dinner with the missus and returned to find a card from SAU saying I was spotted I don't have any SAU stickers so they probably thought I wasn't a member. Didn't say who spotted me on the card, but would love to know though hahaha
  11. Hey, as title states, I'm after a JJR bellmouth dump/front pipe to suit S2 R33 GTS-t (RB25det). Same as this: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/JJ...B2-t204414.html Not fussy whether it's mild steel or stainless, but as long as it is in good condition (i.e no cracks, no dents etc). The cheaper it is, the better cos cash is starting to get abit tight now hehe I'm located in Melbourne but am willing to pay for postage costs if interstate, so either reply to this thread or PM me Cheers.
  12. Hey mate, you got any pics? I'm from Berwick too
  13. I have this green flashing light too!! Except mine is in an S2 R33 GTS-T and I'm really curious to find out exactly what it is as I can't see the light directly, only the glow from it.
  14. Cheers for all the replies everyone Fair enough then, cos I saw the power from the other topic I linked in my first post and it made the exact same power wit less mods lol Nah, sorry I don't but I shoulda asked for one. Doh! Yeah a tune is definetly on the cards Oh ok then, fair enough. I thought that the increased boost along with the 'cooler would be enough to net some gains, but it seems its running stock power levels. I guess a dumb/front pipe and high-flow cat is next, just before I get it tuned Judging by some of the figures other members have run, I was expecting somewere within the vicinity of 160-170rwkw. I haven't checked the compression of it yet, but I'll definietly get that done before I purchase anything for the time being. Thanks for all the replies so far, I'll update this topic as soon as I get it sorted (if I get it sorted) so for future noobs like me, they can use it as a reference
  15. Hey, I just got my car serviced yesterday at RE Customs (great customer service btw ) and since I only just purchased it about a month ago, I decided to put it on the dyno so I could see what sort of power it was making and to check the a/f ratios. Anywayyy, lng tory short, the car has a REALLY low power reading. From the sheet below, you can see it only makes 148.6rwkw, which is fine for a stock car (after scouring through the forum). Problem is, my car isn't stock though. Here are some details: '97 R33 GTS-t, manual 120,000kms 3" catback exhaust Blitz Front mount Blitz pod Still running the factory dual stage boost setup, but with a low/high of 7/10psi (due to exhaust its running more than standard I presume) No boost leaks from what I can tell as it idles fine and has consistent boost, except for first gear, which doesnt really build too much boost before it revs out =/ Any idea what's the go? I asked the guy (Ray I think it was) and he said that's pretty normal. Bear in mind I am still running the stock dump/front pipe and stock cat, but judging by other member's figures, mine still doesn't add up even if I did do the turbo back exhaust: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/R3...+low+power+dyno http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Rb....html&st=40 Any ideas?

    Car Service

No sure if it's any help cos it's a fair bit from Hastings, but I'm getting my car serviced at RE Customs in Springvale next Wednesday so I'll let you know how it goes if you're interested. I've heard good stuff about them so hopefully I can add to it
  17. Problem sorted!! I found the missing line cos he had hidden it. It's the one that normally runs from the re-circulating pipe of the BOV to the top nipple of the solenoid but cos he hid it and put a screw threw it (obviously to disable it), I couldn't run the stock boost setup. But all good now, all hooked up and running ~7psi up to 4500rpm before it hits high boost of ~10psi, which im guessing is normal for a exhaust/cooler/intake setup. Thanks
  18. Alright no dramas then. I'll give it a shot abit later today. So before I do something stupid, I connect the lines together on the solenoid (top nipple connect to the bottom nipple) and just have the line from the cooler pipe (the one thats connected to the top nipple in the pic I posted above) connect straight to the wastgate yeah? So the solenoid isn't actually connnected to anything in terms of piping or turbo/wastegate? Cheers.
  19. Cheers for that Yawrate. So what you're saying is, going by the pic I posted, is to run the 2nd line (the one coming off the lower solenoid nipple) and and get a tee-piece and connect that to the wastegate, so that both the top and bottom lines are connected to the wastegate? Cos in the pic in the link you posted, the top line runs to the intercooler, but cos I'm running an aftermarket Blitz one, I don't think it even has the fittings for it to be fitted But what about the open nipple on the crossover pipe that its connected to now (same as the one shown in the link you posted)? Do I plug it up or should there be something running to it as well?
  20. Sorry for the bad quality phone pic, but like I mentioned, the top of the solenoid is plumbed directly to the wastgate whilst the bottom of the solenoid is plumbed into the cooled side of the intercooler piping, just abit before the cross over pipe. How should I re-route these so that I can run near stock boost levels of 7psi without hitting R&R/boost cut, beacuse I have a feeling I'm hitting it due to the solenoid not being plumbed properly. Cheers.
