  1. The silvia is quicker than the celica the ca18de also has more power than the pulsar sr20de to and i reckon looks better as well Mods on a silvia are so cheap to. If you are mechanically gifted there are very cheap ca18 silvia's coming into the country atm bcoz of the 15yr rule rebuilding 1 of these and raising the compresion a ca16de exhaust cam and everything else would make it go hard, as well as computer remap. Just check insurance out coz u will have probs c if u can insure it under ur old man, go and get quotes for a few of the cars ur looking at or even better get ur dad to do it bcoz they will say no to u if its an import trust me.
  2. Hi just a Q, To push about 225rwkw what management would you recomend just a power fc etc or something like a microtech system, Id rather the cheaper option as im on a budget, will the remapped stocko computer be able to put that sort of power out safely?? Cheers
  3. Does the e-boost display boost level on the guage as well? Sorta eliminates the need for a guage an extra cost i thought it did from the pics iv seen of it but i wasnt sure. They seem a lil cheaper than the avc-r etc? or have i just been looking in the wrong spots?
  4. I reackon a turbo car isnt a great idea for a 1st car im glad i didnt get 1 now. Pulsar is nice but why not an sr20de silvia my CA manages alright for a 1.8. Do the exhaust intake maybe a cam and they arent slow for an N/A car great first car if you can afford insurance. Fun in the wet to if you can avoid the kerbs. They will also kill ne lancers or celica's around an my car keeps up with 6 cyl falcons an commo's and mine's stock.
  5. I dunno about lame plates but i was out for a thrash in the hills an had to hav a look at the driver when i saw "Les69" on a lil white excel, but i was very scared when she hopped out. A big butch looking 40 yr old, ahhhhg the image returns, my eye's my eyes they burn.
  6. I wish someone had done this thread for an R32 spose the info is out there somewhere though.
  7. The CA will probably rev better for longer. The sr wont like bouncing off the rev limiter or sitting at 7k rpm. The valve train in the sr has been skimped on compared to the CA. Unless u switch the GTiR pulsar lifters etc. Have a read of http//:members.iinet.net.au/~sayer/biscuits/ or search for silvia australia, and read the tech articles on the pro's an cons of both.
  8. Does any one have an idea on how much a set of Tein h/a coilovers for an R32 would be, second hand??? I was thinking of coilovers instead of just a shock an spring change as then i can change ride height whenever i please and get off my lazy ass to do it. Does anynoe have any negative points on getting coiloverscompared to normal susp change, tien in particular (apart from them being quite hard)??? Cheers all
  9. What about going to the news and local papers trying to rally support of the "majority" who are all the people that complain about us "hoons" dragging out there on the roads. Broadcast the image that you are thinking of their safety and the compliance to the road rules but cant get Insurance, did the government cover public liability for a group im not sure maybe doctors or farmers or someone that needed it. Surly if there is enough support the government should see fit to give public liability (thats if they ever have before). All to keep the streets safe and save lives. Hopefullyit will supply enthusiasts a playground free of persecution. Your next Problem is where? and keeping it safe. If it can be done once then hopefully it will be repeated in WA as barbagello is a hell of a treck from south of the river.
