Hey guys more of an FYI for future searchers as it sh*ts me to tears when people don't clothe post- Track day was awesome! recommend it for everyone! pitty that there are no young guys doing (a bit disappionting) Anyways catch can was not needed for me, car ran briliantly although i really over maintain my cars. Tyres were bumped up to 35psi cold oil was a bit over full (it WILL burn some over the day) other than that everything was perfect. My reccomendations: Get the best pads on the market lol- only thing that was letting me down (over heating too easily) Mspec brakes (4 pot) are idea for around stockish power (i believe up to 280 rwkw not interested in debate my opinion) Tyre don't get that worn down! its just your brakes Also be prepaired to change the oil as soon as u get home, it WILL be charcole black lol

  11. anyone got a simular picture for just and rb25 i have the same issue and i just wanna chuck a breather on for track day! so the defect is not a worry unless i'm unlucky and get caught on the way there lol

  13. i wasn't aware that its $20 for the bottle? where do u find them from for so cheap? if its that cheap i will definately do it! are you talking about running a little breather filter?
  14. thanks mate- i will top it up a bit! every bit of infomation helps! I'm thinking that i might attach a little breather onto it, but i don't think that i'm gonna bother with a catch can. I think that my car is running pretty rich so i doubt that knocking will be an issue? What your take on octaine booster? is that designed to make the knocking louder if it occurs?
  15. What are the consequences of detonating/ knocking? i mean can i really bent the values? You really got me worried lol keep in mind that the car is stock, just really an exhaust and a pod-no extra boost
  16. Thanks mate!!! I'm not running a catch can- should i atttempt to fit it before the day? Bonnet is factory so i think its fine Oil changed about 500km so that is take care of Pads are 85% still so i think that sound be taken care of didn't think that extra fluid would be nessary- GOOD POINT tool/cable ties/ tape- top idea turbo timer- done is there away i can check for fault codes without taking it to the machanic? top idea on removing the rego plate!!!! with the octane booster could you please explain? sound it make the car sound louder?   17. hey guys going to the track this weekend just wanted to ask are there any specifics that i gotta do before i go? I mean i'm not stupid and all fluid have to be spot on etc and everything is serviced very regularly too (spark plugs everything!) is there anything that can be easily over looked? Also wat is the recommmended tyre pressure for 17- 235/45 and 255/40 track day and normally wat you you guys set them to.
  18. Yer only at 7k full slogging it! 5k runs prefect. And yer I would say it's more of a pop noise cause I no wat backbfire sounds like I used to run bov LOL (aftermarket). If it's unburnt fuel then would u say not to worry? Cause really the only way to address this is air fuel ratio?
  19. Hey guys done a search already, I doubt that it’s the coil pack but I’m open to suggestions! Anyways haven’t given my car a decent boots for about 4 weeks. Sat night been perfect turbo weather I gave it a nice flog on the freeway entrance. I found that originally at 6k it wouldn’t really want to free rev (engine was warm 30min of driving). After one or 2 redlines it was fine. Now it doesn’t really backfire but at full boost at 7plus rpm it makes mid backfire on gear changes(release of the throttle). Not really worried as they are mild and doesn’t happen at 5k but any suggestion? Spark plugs changed 10k ago with quality iridium Hopefully going track soon, and I want it running 100% perfect! Btw my car runs pretty rich stock, no smoke but I smell it sometime (rather it rich than lean)! I guess most people have simular issues? Is there a way to reset the ecu I think its stuck in granny mode lol

  21. dude just the standard whiteline bushes(got about+- 1 degree adjustment) 120 +fitted 80=200 plus and allignment, as above they aren't really gonna adjust them anyways it is very hard. I paid a lot for an allignment but i "feel the difference" Don't over pay man! at the end of the day its 2 tiny pieces of rubber don't = 500 bucks unless its track suspension
