speed beeper! how do I kill it?

Yeah, there are like 3 little boxes down under the kick pannel thing near your left knee, from memory its the 3rd one, across, the one most of the left. The one most on the right was the door open, and lights on beep, and we never worked out what the middle one was... but it wasnt it I found a nice way to get revenge on this item is throw it out the window at about 110kmh, and yell at it DING NOW!!! Prob is now the diff annoys me more... -
Mine gets called a Cosmo a LOT. I've also had it called 'new school torrana' a camary pops up a lot, VN commodore, the TRX bluebird, that was a good one, Accord, gets called a Chaser a lot atm, people must have worked out cosmos are 2doors, and chasers have 4... But the funny thing is, most of these people have READ all the badges on the car, and they still call it a mazda or toyota...

But hey, you pay the premium for something a little different. Sure I could have got a VL calais turbo or something, would have gone faster cheaper, but end of the day, who hasnt had one???

It ran a 14.53 @ 98mph, which for my first time out i felt was rather good. Oh yeah, its also a CA31, factory turbo manual With ABS and HICAS.

Hehehe, this is pretty funny aye. Partly its because we all used to have shitboxes, or drive round in our pearents cars (a number of which have stickers on them) Then we started to get jobs, buy cars etc, and we thought hey, lets keep the stickers, and go for the sleeper look! The other reason is, really no one can pay out our cars, if they like them or not. Someone yells out "what a f'ing shitbox!!!" and we can just go, yeah thanks mate, and point to the sticker. And yes, we are quickly running out of true shitboxes, the orginals are fading, but when we get faster cars, we will all buy new shitboxes as run abouts. Its really just a joke between a few mates that grew in to something bigger.

R32 fuel mileage?
dangerous_daveo replied to StraightSix's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Not a skyline, but same engine etc. Manual and about 50/50 highway and driving hard/city driving. And I was getting about 570kms to about 55L so thats about 10.4km/L So not toooo shabby, and thats with exaust, pod, idle too high, and about 11psi, and the extra of the two doors . Both Optimax, and Ultimate used. -
Hi, it might be a bit of a long shot, but has anyone done, or seen a coustom install in the back of a cefiro for a sub, prob about a 10inch? Be really nice if its done and they still have a boot. Only reason Im asking is to see what it might look like. Thanks.

Yeah should be interesting to see the graphs, where it made what power boost and so on. ATM Im doing the research as to what turbo to get, so any real info is good. -

What mod's first for R32
dangerous_daveo replied to sxe32's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Well what I have done ($183.90 worth of mods... got cheap/free stuff but) the car already had an exaust, no dump pipe but, a bigger fuel pump, and a nice big filter. So, so far all that I have done, bleed valve set to about 12psi 13-14psi on a cold nite (going to be checked again soon with winter) bit of 3 1/2inch pipe for cold air. Oil catch can, and a mallpasi rising rate fuel reg. We first did the boost, that made a bit of a diff, but being summer at the time didnt notice it too much, then cold air, that made a nice difference. And then last nite the mallpasi, that really did the job, it feels really nice. And my car is heaver than an R32 GTST, and I still just walk on a number of them (far from all of them but ) Hope that helps. I still have the stock cooler also. -
Mine is red, therefore it must go faster! *mumbles, stupid rb26 cefiros...*

Dude, your in brisbane, I swear I have seen heaps at import yards. Go have a look at them there, it seriously might be worth while spending a bit more money to buy the car already here. At least that way you can drive it, have a look at it etc, hell of a lot cheaper than spending $25k to only find you have a car you dont like.
-
But out of interest doesnt hot gas (ie air) flow faster? Obviouly there is a happy medium, because if you go too hot the air will be useless, and too cold wont flow. Sooo wouldnt you want some sort of heat in the piping???

Yeah I had a great time! The sudden slow downs to 20kmh on the highway were a bit hair rasing at times tho, cars going everywhere! But yeah over all really good. Organisation was fine, I didnt even read the bit of paper I it was easy, just follow the leader! And I was good, I parked right up the end of the line, I wasnt inbetween any skylines for anyone who was complaining
