Well speaking of that... I think there is still overboard. I saw one that no word of a lie would have been 6m x 4m at least, was on a ute obviously. Rather funny.

Yeah, like a bike hitting concrete is going to 'hurt' same with an armco. I guess with an armco and the wires there is a chance of sliding under it. You got the links to any of this stuff? Like I guess the main thing is teach people how to drive so they dont hit them in the first place, but thats too logical.
-
They arent actually that bad. The idea is to stop the 'bounce' of your hard armco ones. Bikes are a minority unfortuneate as that sounds, thats no doubt how its worked out. Either way, whats your suggestion? Your stuffed on a bike at 100kmh anyway, they cant put big airbags in everywhere. Dont take it as being defensive, Id like to know what other systems are about.

Windscreen Resealing / Replacement
dangerous_daveo replied to dangerous_daveo's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Well its done... They broke it taking it out. I think they just looked at it and realised how hard it was going to be so just snapped it. But there was some surface rust up the top where the roof line was, then this was running down to the bottom somewhere where there is apparently a hole, and thats where the water would have been coming through. So to all you Ceffy owners, keep an eye out for rust around the top. They said they sanded it all off and preped it too. $339 with a lifetime warrenty, and a free chip repaire. So not THAT bad. -
How has he driven the car too...

I guess the thing is, the others are only going to go moderately fast in a straight line as long as you dont want to slow down too quickly. If it hasnt been already just get everything engineered on your car, she'll be apples.

Yeah, money isnt really a prob, its not really THAT much more for grandstand tickets, $200 or so between the cheap ones and the exxy ones, over the trip its not a great deal. Just some events I know people have said the grandstand tickets arent worth the dosh. Hence asking the question. Thanks for the help so far.

Hi all you Mexicans! Anyway, Myself and a few mates are looking at heading down for the F1s in March from QLD. Just wondering if there is anything we should know, or definately should do while we are down there. Such as what stand is best to get tickets for etc, good places to stay, eat so on so on. Any comments welcome. Thanks all! (btw I like Mexico)

Sorry mate. Just isnt. The public holiday is the Monday. Australia day is the 26th of January. Always has been always will be. Its the date that Captin Arthur Phillip landed and founded 'New South Wales' which later became Australia. So next time you decide to call me a 'cock sucker'. Make sure you have your facts correct. Its basic stuff that was taugh in primary school. Either way, I do agree with you on your point that if people have these cars they should drive them. And the coast is a hot spot, but you really shouldnt worry about anything. I've never been done down there, not even pulled over. They are going to go for the weak that is left behind.

Can anyone say Australia Day is the 26th!?

Tein Suspension
dangerous_daveo replied to gtrzilla's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Compaired to how many thousands happy with bilsteins world wide? I guess the thing is when you have a DIRECT compairson between the two (ie same spring rates and wheel alinement) you would have to be running with the bilsteins, they are a better quality shock, with a better quality ride. Most people wouldn't have that experience, hence they ask the question about a brand they have heard of being decent quality. Now I'm not saying the teins are bad, nor am I saying the bilsteins are the best. But if it were my money, I know what I would do. Due to the money I have wasted on suspension over the years, I feel obligated to let people know what I feel is best bang for buck. Now if was in SK position offering the decent discount he is, with his knowledge, I'd be doing the same thing, trying to stop people wasting money on products that might not be as good. Just my opinion. -
Well the guys daughter or something might have been killed by a skyline driver, and he just cant get over it. There are people like that out there.

I think we might have all forgotten something here!!! The hoon police group!!! I think Josh and a few others have had run in's with them! Either way, same with a number of storys on here. Seems people arent in the wrong but they dont exactly help the situation along. Cause I know if a tiger is pissedoff, I dont go round poking it!

Mate in regards to the exaust, one of the other RB26 ceffy dudes has at least stainless dumps/fronts, he is in Brissy, and I dont think he wants to use them. I'll let him know if you are still chasing down an exaust.

6 Speed Getrag Into A Gtt
dangerous_daveo replied to Marco-R34GTT's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
As said above tho, the 6speed doesnt really have taller gearing, just more gears for the same result. One more gear to break etc... The car off the road while someone works out how to do it etc. Personally being different isnt worth it that much. Just change your diff gears, you will achive your end result of sitting at a lower rpm way easier, cheaper, and with less potential hassels. That or maybe just look at changing your 5th gear ratio, but thats a fair stuff about too in compairson. -
I guess the thing is you are best to ignore the problem, or just admit you are wrong even if you arent. If you cant do that look at anger management. Or just stay at home.
-
If you read the story tho, he does kind of hint that they might have blocked off the highway. People do get narky with that. Especially if its two sports cars, they get the wrong idea.
-
Anyone had their ceffy windscreen resealed? If so how much was it, and did they break the windscreen in the process? Mine needs doing and everywhere has said they are going to break the windscreen because they cant help it. Which to be honest I'm not entirely satisfied with. And if anyone wants to know novus is $300 for a new windscreen, and obrian is $360. Apparently.
-
Yes, but then would you try and sell it like that?
-
Timms Court, I think its #8? It runs off compton rd. Down the springwood end.
-
As in JHH? If thats who you mean, they guy is very good. Just listen to what he has to say, dont go there and say 'here are all my performance bits I bought now put it together'. Best to talk to him, find out what he recomends and go from there. He has built some nuts RBs before in the past.
-
I guess they could just wack some plates on it and hope for the best. That or taking it out back where no one is going to pull it over anyway!
-
Yep, mine is 84db at 4000rpm. Its a nice little colour graph thing. Probably also handy for power point presentations of your car If on the off chance you ever needed to do one.
