I was wondering if anyone had tried this procedure already. My R34 Rb25det Neo has a dead CAS (was damaged during shipping). I know the Hitachi cas from the neo's has a different cam drive than the Misubishi cas's (s1 and s2). I have access to a s1 rb25det cas, so I plan on taking them both apart and putting the cam drive from the neo cas into the s1 cas. This would make it connect to my exhaust camshaft perfectly, in theory. Has anyone actually done this, or know for a FACT if it will work or not? I appreciate the help gents! Not much info on these motors over in my country, and even less knowledgable poeple! And yes i did search lol
