  1. I hung the center bracket from the vertical support like in the pic below: The Blitz LM intercooler has 3 bracket attached to it like in the pic below: ... convenient for mounting the cooler up straight. To be honest we just bung the thing on there, didn't even check to see if it was straight...:headbang:
  2. Of course the odometer's been wound back! It's an import!! In Japan, you'd be crazy to sell a car WITHOUT the odo being wound back.
  3. Opening our Swedish massage parlour... don't tell me you want to go it alone???
  4. Do you think we're giving away any clues as to what we're gonna do when we head back to AU troy??? Better keep it under our hats for full effect.
  5. Sorry Troy, I accidently edited your post instead of quoting it.... I cant be stuffed going back and fixing it
  6. The R32 GTS Type J is a RB20DE aswell. Jason you should go back and check those specs you put up, theres quite a few mistakes. Thanks for going to the trouble though, top effort!
  7. That should be RB25DE not RB20E, and the R32 GTS25 Type S was released in August '91 and finished in July '93... sorry to split hairs.
  8. Wheels are D-Spec Cashed up drifter wannabes in the US are already importing these wheels by the truckload... exactly the reason why I didn't go for them.
  9. Sleeperish probably gives you an idea of my age...It's a 1990.
  10. That is very sad... and to think there's a whole lot of guys over in US going "Yeeeeeaaaaah, sweet ride dude!!!" "damn doze GT-Arrrrrrrrr biatches... I mean badges look fkn RAD man!!" "hooooo-weee, dats a pimpin Hahnduh you got dere slick... yeah, reeeeeeeaaaal slick" "I didn't knoe dat duh GT-Arrrrr came in FWD?" "Word... I said word muthafkah. 11. eeeerm... I believe they're OIL CANS
  12. Yes, all the above exist in Japan... can be had for very reasonable prices too.
  13. Too far away for me...
  14. If you were gonna get it done professionally, it'd cost eleventy billion dollars...
  15. Take the sideskirts off to check for rust and damage to the chassis/lower body (where the black paint starts) if the car has been picked up by a forklift. Check the area around where the rear bumper meets the rear guards too... lots of rust there usually, but can be overlooked by a quick inspection. Sometimes you can only see the extent of it when the bumper is off. I think most 15 year old cars in Japan are dodgy... thats just my opinion. I say that because even so called enthusiasts in Japan lose respect for *old* cars that cost them more to run/remain registered that their monthly rent bill.
  16. Let us know... I'm really interested to see how things turn out. I hope it turns out that I was wrong!
  17. Dave: Only another Japan resident could sum up the days events like you did... spot on! I don't think the cooler did much in the way of performance, maybe just make the intake charge slightly cooler than the stock intercooler, but as Cerealkiller says, the power comes when the boost is up... which mine isn't... yet! Afaik, the boost rises a little with a large cooler like the Blitz LM. Cerealkiller: I have to go out of my way to get the crossmember cut, so thats at the bottom of things to do right now, I think just moving the number plate over to the passenger side will do for now (stock boost).
  18. ocean: Take it from me... I've seen *many* of these cars up close in Japan, in fact I just had a look at one last week here in Nishinomiya. Your car, being located out in the country, is gonna have rust. On top of the obvious mechanical and cosmetic problems. I must admit, when I saw the pics, I thought "oh no... you didn't did you?". I bet the driver/owner of that car raced it regularly, then had a minor accident, then realized that the repair cost is goona approach the total amount he paid for the car (400 - 500,000 yen). ocean, I know how you must feel, I bought a rough R32 with plans to do it up... but even with my car (better condition) it's still a money waster bar none. Good luck.
  19. Some pics from yesterday... DIY! Who needs a garage??? Troy, thanks HEAPS for coming around yesterday and helping/buying extras, I really appreciate it. ... oh, and we were neck and neck last night, but I had a passenger and you didn't... hehehe Blitz LM 'cooler:
  20. Ganowhores? You don't like them?
  21. Whose running aero mirrors here? I know I know, alot of you guys love your electric stock mirrors, but how many of you are running sleek, small and sporty aero mirrors? Godfather?? Post pics!
  22. And fffffwhen was the last time you took the train??? Try 10mins on the kaisoku (high-sped/express) to Nishinomiya.
  23. Anyone? I'm not an RX-7 owner... but I guess Yahoo auctions Japan would def have a set. Aren't there any RX-7 wreckers near your place?
