  1. Luv your avatar Andrew... did you do that in Paint?
  2. Bumping this old thread up... Thanks Guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Of late, the info dispensed has been really helpful, and more and more members are getting their cameras out and making photo threads (most interesting IMO!). Cheers guys, keep up the good work!
  3. Bump bump... Anybody?
  4. Have you got that issue of BC dude? If so, I come round this weekend and check it out... got some stories to tell you too.
  5. I heard that the "Evo X" was mentioned in the current Speed magazine, can anyone confirm? Even better, could someone post up a scan of the article or pic?
  6. I certainly do!!! Thanks for letting the guys know about that little piece of info Troy.
  7. Anybody remember this? So did they make mention of the M45/Fuga in the latest issue? Did they elaborate on the V8 going on the V36 Skyline??? My guess is they ran out of smoke....

    floods in japan

I pretty sure the rest of us (and cars) are ok. Kyushu is the southern most "main" island of Japan, and yesterday they got hit worst by the typhoon. I think Sapporo is about as far away from Kyushu as you can get! Although I think the typhoon has travelled up there today! Doh!
  9. Good question, the first mention of the "V36" GT-R or the "36 Skyline GT-R" as some Japanese enthusiasts like to call it was back in January '03, when rumours came out about a possible 2007 release (pre-'03 Tokyo Motor Show). People back then put 2 and 2 together that 2007 is well into the new model (V36) cycle, and therefore the next GT-R would obviously be based on that platform.I'm not refuting any claims Speed Magazine about the "36" designation, but I'm still hesitant to go along with what they say about the "R" part... but now we're splitting hairs. I'm gonna wait for Japanese verification (in process) about an "R"36 GT-R, mainly because theres been no mention of it so far here, and I'll be damned if ANY Aussie mag can scoop any Japanese publication about the next GT-R. Get where I'm coming from? ... I mean... could you imagine first reading about the the new (eg: VA) Commodores all-alloy 9.0L quad turbo V8 boatanchor in a Japanese magazine? You'd doubt the authenticity until one of the local mags verified it right? Well thats what should happen here except in reverse. As meshmesh said: I can name about 2 or 3 sources that directly steal content from SAU regarding the next GT-R (and current Skylines!) and I'm pretty certain some non-Australian magazines lurk the SAU forums for next GT-R info too... some of the stuff that is written is too much of a coincedence. On the other hand, maybe I'm just hoping that people copy whats posted on SAU and I'm just dreaming...
  10. Please somebody show me some pics of development of a V8 for a GT-R.... please.... anybody. This V8 stuff is giving me the shits. All this talk, and even though Cosworth have had a V6 engine going on almost 2 years... theres still no V8 research and development for the GT-R.
  11. Speed obviously didn`t read THIS where I posted back in December last year:"Notes: By 2007, the new V36 Skyline will be ready for realease, just in time to co-incide with the release of the "Old" new GT-R... I think Carlos hasn't been honest with us..." Mmmm, I wonder who they referring to...
  12. What about last issues Fuga/Skyline fcuk up... was there any mention of that?
  13. Alright, can see it now. Speeds lash back at all the "keyboard warriors" is just gonna make their reputation worse.
  14. Can only see a red x...

    Earthquake!

Hehehe, you know, sometimes I think Japanese people want Japan to be destroyed, just so they can start over again...:headspin:

    Earthquake!

Just got woken up by another one... this is getting a little freaky now, as there is a typhoon coming our way later on this afternoon too, and as you can see the epicenter is in almost the exact same place... 震度7震度6強震度6弱震度5強震度5弱震度4震度3震度2震度1 This time the highest magnitude was 4 in Mie (again), and we acyually felt a level 3. It only lasted for 5 - 10 seconds, but still, in my time in Japan this is the first time I felt 3 quakes within days of each other... something must be brewing underground?
  18. Don't worry people! Hell, I suprised myself today with my auto electrical skills... headlights fixed. I used the old FET relay (big one), hooked the headlight loom up to it, ran power to the relay and presto... working.
  19. Bwahhahahaha! Gordon, Troys just trying to stir shit up... he must be bored at work! But yeah, it's not just Japan... this stuff has been going on for ages, and not just on Skylines. Name just about any Japanese car worth modding and some fool has put 11 inch wide wheels on it with those bolt-on over fenders. Think early 70's GTS racing in Japan and you're getting close:
  20. Anybody? I can't drive at night...

    Earthquake!

I just realized, theres never been any mention of earthquakes in the Japan forum... Well, the Kansai area and most of western Japan got hit by 2, yes 2 earthquakes tonight: 震度7震度6強震度6弱震度5強震度5弱震度4震度3震度2震度1 My area and dare I say Troys area too got hit by a level 3 or 4, while Mie (where I used to live) got hit by a level 5 intensity on the Japanese Omori scale. What made tonight interesting was that we had 2 quakes, both within 2 hours of each other, both the same intensity, and both lasting at least 15 - 20 seconds (in Hyogo). Usaually a larger one is folowed up by aftershocks of a lower intensity... but then again I'm no goelogist so this might not be so uncommon, I don't know. Tidal wave warnings are in effect from Tokyo right across to Shikoku, with the main focus on the Mie prefecture area (where the epicenter was, some way off the coast). Anyways, thats enough action for one night, I'm off to bed.
  22. Hi guys, my first post in here... I've got a 1990 R32 GTS-t Type M, and it has (had!) an "FET performance spot lamps" kit installed. Now, strangely enough my air-con blows a fuse every time I turn on the ignition (if the car is already running and I put a fuse in then turn on the air-con, it's fine)... I'm trying to do trial and error to find the problem, which led me to the spotties. Why the spotties? Well, before the previous owner put the car up for sale, he took out the spotties themselves, but left all the wiring in. This was a little strange to me, as I've put spotties in before and when taking them out of course the wiring comes with it. I thought maybe that the FET relays are putting too much load on the electricals (they're somehow always switched on), which when I go to start the car with the air-con running, the load is even more increased, blowing the air-con fuse... dumb idea? So I go to take out all this unused wiring... little did I know that the FET spotties were spliced into the standard wiring system!!!! I thought aftermarket spotties were supposed to be installed completly separate from the factory wiring? The FET spotties used *two* relays, one rather large one thats linked to another smaller one which has all the +/- wiring going to the battery. From the smaller relay theres a small wiring loom which connects to one of the head lamps. Now that the FET wiring is pulled out, BOTH my headlights seem to be disconnected.... but the parking lights are ok. What I want to know is: a) How can I link what seems to be 2 headlights connected by factory wiring back up to power again? B) Can I open up the under bonnet fuse box and just link the headlights up there? c) Does anyone know the basic wiring path from the head lights to the under bonnet fuse box (it'd be good to see just how everything is *supposed* to hook up)? Cheers for taking the time out to check this thread guys, I really need help!!! /Rezz

    Oldschool cars

Hehehe, Mitsuoka Le Seyde!!! Theres a dark green one running around Kobe... I agree, a sight to behold, but poor S15 Silvia donor car
  24. Yeah, www.v-opt.co.jp stickers are for D1 competition, and I believe that cars that have appeared in Drift Tengoku are asked to put one on their car. So unless your car has been in Option Video, I wouldn't put one on. Seeing a v-opt sticker on an Australian car would be embarrassing.
