  1. ***This car is "in the build", so it's still in the early stages*** East Bear aero mirrors. My wheels are Desmond Regamaster 17x8JJ +32 (with 3mm spacer) 215/45/17 front, 17x9JJ +35 245/40/17 rear. As you can see in the last pic, the caliper clearance was about 1mm without the spacers, so a 3mm spacer was put on just to be sure there'd be no contact. Special thanks to: Troy (Evo_Lee) and my lovely wife for helping me screw those Regamasters on in the Autobacs carpark.... 2,000 yen saving! Cheers guys!!!
  2. They're 10" and 12" wide wheels filling out those guards Shan... please don't do an "HPI drift Silvia" and put wide guards on then have your 7" and 8" rims do a really bad job of filling out the wheelarches.
  3. Yoshio Matsuda is the Curator of the museum... I dare say he owns some of them too.
  4. Calm down... geezuz. Now, lets straighten this out. You reply to this thread stating that "Yankee" plates allow eeerm, dare I say "US military employees" to get cheaper shaken, to which I (nobody else, so I guess your outburst was directed at me) said "do tell", as in "would you mind explaining "Yankee" plates to us non-military types". Did I miss something? To answer your question straight up, no... this forum isn't strictly for Australians, all are welcome.
  5. "Yankee" plate? Oh do tell... Actually, I got my 2 years shaken done for 100,000yen... I've heard it as high as 200,000yen when parts (wipers, lights etc) have to be replaced, but a J-girl told me that, no offence to the ladies but she may not have known what was going on.
  6. Pretty tough trying to find a "non-western" gift in the UK!!!
  7. Try west... Kansai - Osaka to be exact.
  8. AFAIK Dave went post-January...? Wierd...
  9. Heh heh... better pick up a couple just in case...
  10. 20mm wider FRP front fenders Anyone had them foul on the front struts? Just wondering if the +30 offset with the 9" rim on the front will foul...
  11. I haven't seen any R32s in AU with R33 GT-R wheels on... anyone have these rims on or seen them on another R32? An R32 parked I saw parked in Osaka had them on the back only, just wondering if R33 GT-R rims foul on the front struts or anything?
  12. The "drift cat" used to be sold by URAS...
  13. Don't you dare...
  14. R32 GT-R rims are 16"x8" R32 GTS-T Type M rims are 16"x6.5"... same design, different width.
  15. Damn... thats what I forgot to pick up from SuperAutobacs on Sunday...
  16. Actually, you pay a fee, and you can choose your number... it's that simple. Of course alot of the single digit numbers are "reserved" for Yakuza, or so it seems. My number plate is "61-16"... totally chosen at random, I must have been lucky.
  17. Your folks are into Jap schoolgirls?
  18. Eeeeerm, I can help (as in order, pack and send you *small* things), but I'm already obligated to the Nismo GT-R model car crew... I've ordered from Impul, Uras, Kazama, East Bear etc before, and although I ordered in Japanese, those guys weren't put off by sending internationally...? Send them an e-mail (try Impul first) and if the order can be sent via UPS, I don't see why you can't sort it out without help from your relatives.

Are u back in AU? I can't believe you came all the way to Osaka and didn't meet up with us!!!

    Hmm

Believe it or not Jason, I still keep an eye out on Yahoo Auctions Japan for your hotplate rear tail lights... nothing yet, and I really don't want you to get your hopes up, those C210/11 hotplates are rare, even for here!
  21. Rezz

    Hmm

Yeah, just reading through those sites you posted, and the C210 was dubbed "Japan" because it was the first massed produced sports sedan/coupe to be sold simultaneously throughout Japan back in '77. Much the same as the "Ken Meri" KPGC110, I think the advertising at the time for the C210 "Japan" had alot to do with emotional themes, trying to stike up some 'o that old flower power free love '60s bizzo. ... hence "my Japan"... it's kinda emotional type reference.
  22. Yeah, more or less the main V35 GT-R concept "photochops" have been posted up on SAU over the last couple of years... no new ones really.Speculations good and all, but I notice that the prototype running around Cosworth is just a "wide-track" V35 Coupe with an R34 wing mounted high. Theres no real leads as to body work etc as far as I know. The last mention of aerodynamic work was posted up here on SAU about a year ago, outlining that the GT-R was at 1/5th scale clay model stage, and they hadn't finalized anything yet... If anyone ( Japan residents) has any, or comes across any leaked prototype sketches or rendered concept drawings of a fully kitted 35 GT-R (a la R34 GT-R prototype sketches) let us know eh?
  23. Sounds like he's been reading my posts...

    Hmm

Got me stumped man, I tried doing the same thing as you, but I just get the usual "Japan weblog" and tourist type websites... That said, I don't think anyone refers to their car as "my Japan", must be some kind of re-occuring phrase in the search results?
  25. Sorry guys... theres still no word on when the Nismo GT-Rs availability, will let you know as soon as they are.
