The auction grade 1 to 5 is: (1) High mileage, rough, damaged many owners poor mechanical condition. (2) Poor condition in need of attention in both bodywork and mechanical defects (3) Fair condition for age reasonably well maintained some miner faults. (3.5)Good condition very few minor faults. Road worthy. (4) One owner low mileage well serviced cars above average condition for year. (4.5) Very good condition, mint cars for year, nearly new. (5) As new. Showroom condition. And H7, S51 etc is referring to the Japanese year counting system, according to the Emporer that is reigning at the time... "It was decided that each Emperors reign would constitute an era. The year in which an Emperor ascended to the throne would be the first year of a new era which would continue until his death.": S = "Showa" (the name chosen for the period, not the Emporers personal name - "Hirohito") S1 = the first year of the Showa period (1926) continued on through to S63 (1988) H = "Heisei" (the current period we are in now) H1 = the first year of the Heisei period (1989) continuing through to now, which is H16 (2004) So the years you should be interested in are these: S60 = 1985 S61 = 1986 S62 = 1987 S63 = 1988 H1 = 1989 H2 = 1990 H3 = 1991 H4 = 1992 H5 = 1993 H6 = 1994 H7 = 1995 H8 = 1996 H9 = 1997 H10 = 1998 H11 = 1999 H12 = 2000 H13 = 2001 H14 = 2002 H15 = 2003 H16 = 2004 I got all the auction grade info from a 2 minute Google search... . :

Sounds like a bit of co-ordination on your end... you up for it Tony?
-
Matey, do you realize that SAU just recently opened up *this very section* to discuss the next Skyline, including the next GT-R? Well done for starting up your own forum, but I don't think this is the place to be inviting peeps to come over. Do you get where I'm coming from?

Bad news guys, I can only provide a Japanese bank account for you to deposit into. Either that or do overseas remittance through the Post Office... there are additional charges involved in this. Sorry guys for any inconvenience, but this is out of my control.

Mmmmmmn it looks GREAT in that colour... but... the jurys out on whether GT-R/GT-R face conversions are ok.... I don't know, what does everyone else think?Btw, Funky, the S15 onevia conversion is a little old... maybe two years? Some other mob had a bright orange one way back with black rims etc, set up for drift. Can't remember who produced it though.

Orders recieved heretofore shall be handled by K's Garage c/o the Osaka branch of Mitsubishi Electric Rolling Stock Division...

Auction it mate... go for one out of shaken, '91 or '92s are going cheap and some aren't so nasty so I've been told. Give David Zozuk a mail at: [email protected] He's a buyer down at the auctions in Kobe, the biggest in Kansai, so there should be a good selection of BNR32s there.

Yes, I had one back in '97 - '99... I had 2 bar boost through that thing at one stage and it seemed to enjoy it! I had an '86 ET Turbo. The E15ET engine is o-l-d, so the whole design of the head doesn't lend itself to high airflow, that being the case, it's pretty useless going for a turbo any bigger than an R33 turbo or similar. The engine itself is quite tough once it's been rebuilt... but if it's still hasn't been rebuilt since it left the showroom, theres bound to be compression probs in the cylinders, turbo leaking/impeller wheel is worn and slack etc. I wouldn't be suprised if every ET in Australia has at least one time in it's life had a bleed valve hooked up. Of course, theres bound to be good examples too that have been kept stock. Just bear in mind that pre-'86 models didn't have water cooled turbos... I think this is the main consideration here. If you get a good post-'86, the watercooled turbo obviously has it's advantages for ease of upgrading the turbo (for an R33/S14 one). Other than that, the handling is a bit like a lead-tipped arrow until you get decent tires, but then the boost gets wound up and you're back to square one! The interior is like "the '80's greatest hits"... all angles and monograms on the faces of the dials. Thats one thing that I didn't quite get used to, the interior. I eventually got the old girl down the quarter doing a 14.8, so it wasn't so bad, but bear in mind that was with a $5000 engine re-build and 1.2bar boost if I recall... and a good driver /Rezz

Thats what I've been saying for about 12 months now...

The original article, Speed Magazine, July/August 2004 issue: A V8 Skyline...? Never in a million years, heres proof: BELOW is EXACTLY THE SAME article as printed in Horide Auto last month, except where Speed Magazine has decievingly put "Skyline", the Infiniti M45 is in actual fact THE NEXT CEDRIC/GLORIA and that the car is going to be sold in Japan as a 2.5 or 3.5L V6, NOT as a V8 like Speed wrongly says. Add to that the fact that the M45 will be called the FUGA in Japan... See in BIG letters the name Fuga? Thats what the next Cedric/Gloria is getting it's name changed to. Speed Magazine... how could they get it sooooo wrong??? /Rezz

My old girl? I hope she can get up to 210km/h, let alone exceed it!
-
Aaaaaargh! Can you delete that one? That one has been proven to be a backyard photochop by "nobody in paticular"... it looks like someone whos never seen a real GT-R before has just used whatever concept car pieces took their fancy and purt it together (although I wish I could use Photoshop like that...).

Why be jealous? You start sweating just by standing up and getting a tinny from the fridge... it sucks dude, believe me... bring on autumn I say.

Still no word on the R34 Nismo GT-R. Could the *serious, cashed up, ready to go right now* people please PM me with their order, I'll reply with a ballpark amount and wait for the go ahead, ok everybody?
-
Don't worry, judging by the reception the original 2001 GT-R Concept got (read: mostly bad, except a big thumbs up for the tail lights), theres no way Nissan are leaving them off the next GT-R! I can aaaaaaalmost assure you...

mesh: Haven't seen the KLAXON pics before, but they do seem a bit *too* chopped to be taken seriously... too much journalist input. Notice how the final pic in my first post has 19 inch wheels? That was one of the changes that Nissan made when they spotted the GT-R at Nurburgring (old section).

Who says Nissan has gone NA???? Check this out!

New Stagea 2.5RS Turbo -
The 2.5L V6 will gain a turbo and intercooler (with a different front bumper) when the "RS" version of the Stagea is released with the next minor upgrade to the Stagea range, which I believe is next month sometime. The top of the line RS will be powered by the VQ35DE NA, as the VQ35 already produces 280ps, which is in line with the Skyline range. Get saving to drop that 2.5 V6 Turbo into your R32 GTST!!! /Rezz

There's nothing groundbreaking in this update, I just thought I'd post up some of the article printed in one of the car mags on sale here in Japan. I'll attempt to post up all the relevent stuff and leave out any "could be's..." as much as possible. Here it is, confirmation of the next GT-Rs driveline... rear wheels driven by the VQ32DETT through a driveshaft, and the front wheels driven by an electric motor. Hi-tech... e-4WD... thats the replacement for ATESSA. Basically, the e-4WD system comes in the moment traction is lost in the rear wheels, with torque bias always to the rear. The timing, torque allowance etc is all finely tuned to assist cornering and turn-in. This really is the next phase of performance 4WD engineering. The front motor is supplied power by a Lithium battery which is recharged by a generator feeding off the VQ32DETT. My Japanese ability isn't that good, but I believe the motor-assisted turbos are fed from the Lithium battery aswell. Thats the pic of the Lithium battery above (the grey flat panel thing). Sorry, the pics a little blurry, but here is a list of Carbon and Aluminium parts to be used in the next GT-R: Carbon - Bonnet, Driveshaft, Rear diffuser and Seat frames Aluminium - Roof, Suspension arms, Rear tailgate and Door panels. Can anyone say "NSX"? Basically a pic of the GT500 engine, the next GT-R will have a slightly less peaky/powerful and more driveable version of this very engine. Nissan/Nismo in colaboration with Cosworth tuned 3.2L V6 Twin Turbo with an estimated 470+ hp. The VQ32DETT compared to the (current) top of the line VQ35DE. The main VQ32DETT differences comprise of: 3.2L capacity, dry sump, twin throttle bodies, Twin motor-assisted (spool up) turbos, NDIS Direct Ignition and separate intake manifold for each cylinder bank. And finally, a lame CG pic: They're calling it "Hybrid Supersports" and a "V35 bodied GT-R Prototype" has been spotted testing at a closed session at Nurburgring in Germany. Thats what they're saying, I'll neither confirm or disconfirm the sighting, as no other mags have reported it (yet). /Rezz

Thats what the big blue sign says...

We're the northern hemisphere up here dude... summertime.

Taken at about 9:30pm tonight... a sign atop a building in central Umeda, Osaka. Humidity is up around 100% too... Gotta love Japan.

RB26_S15: Don't get me wrong mate, I'm not gonna "shoot the messenger" so to speak, but that article you scanned is the biggest piece of horse shit I've seen printed in an Aussie mag for awhile...BELOW is EXACTLY THE SAME article as printed in Horide Auto last month, except where Speed Magazine has decievingly put "Skyline", the Infiniti M45 is in actual fact THE NEXT CEDRIC/GLORIA and that the car is going to be sold in Japan as a 2.5 or 3.5L V6, NOT as a V8 like Speed wrongly says. Add to that the fact that the M45 will be called the FUGA in Japan (and probably everywhere else... See in BIG letters the name Fuga? Thats what the next Cedric/Gloria is getting it's name changed to. Speed Magazine... how could they get it sooooo wrong??? Guys, in future, please run ANYTHING about the new Skyline (be it GT-R or otherwise) past me first, and I'll iron out all the potential bullshit. Cheers lads, (thanks for the scan RB26_S15 ) /Rezz

"bosou"?? Whatever could you mean by that my young lad?
