  1. All pics and story is absolutely 100% true... would I lie to SAU? Meet "Rei"... (2001) And here she is at 6pm tonight... I work with this girl. I had NO IDEA she used to work for TRIAL garage in Osaka!!! I won't divulge her name (it's the done thing amongst RQs so she tells me) but she goes by the "stage name" of Rei. There I was yesterday evening sitting down in an empty classroom on one of my breaks, sorting through the last of my TAS photos on my mobile. Rei is sitting at the front desk going over some scheduling changes (she works part-time for us as Japanese staff), when she gets up and comes over and says "nani sore?" (whats that - obviously she knew it was a mobile!) and I tell her it's a DoCoMo camera phone. I show her some of the pics from the TAS, and then she says "Do you like Race Queen or Companion?" to which I reply "Of course"... She then asks me to come to the front desk, where she quickly does a Google search for an RQ site. She then asks whether I know TRIAL! "Yeees! Why do you ask?" I say. "I worked for TRIAL as a RQ and Companion for 1 year, I did shows at the Osaka Auto Messe and at Central Circuit and events at TRIAL..." she said. And I'm like "Really?! Why did you quit?", which she replies "I don't like to diet!!!" Then the unbelieveable happened... she said "If you want me and my friends to pose for you, it's no problem, but you need to give us some costumes"...:headspin::headspin::headspin: Without a word of a lie, she SUGGESTED that I take photos *of her and her friends* in full costumes... Guys of SAU, I appologize. I realize that you must see me as some guy that joins up at this forum and since July last year, has sprouted all this amazing stuff about Japan, V35 Skylines, Auto Salons, Nismo Festivals, Tuning shops and now Race Queens, without any 2nd thought. But it's true, this is my life, and I'm just letting you guys in on it. Stay tune, I'll sort a "Rezz's Photo Diary Special - Race Queens: Up Close and Personal" edition... Her promo card... /Rezz

You didn't have so much fun on Sunday?

    Jap streets.

Did you go up and chat to those obasans in the attached image Dave?
  4. Oh yeah, I'll only have it for a year, then ship it to my brother Trent in Perth... he can get rid of it or keep it, it's up to him.
  5. There are a few in Perth... I have to move house before I get the V35, I'll have to wait till mid-year for it though... or I could just slap down the 400,000 - 500,000 yen for an R32 GT-R and be done with it.
  6. Yes, I used to have one. It's actually a Nissan Auster Xtt. I had a 1987 model with the same CA18DET without the intercooler. It was well optioned with a full retracting sunroof, electric everything and electrically adjustable damper control. Mine had a VERY well kept interior, but the engine had seen better days, but it still pulled pretty well. If I remember correctly, the non-intercooled CA18DET was rated at 115-118kw. The downside is the weight of the thing, I think they weigh in at 1200kgs+, so that CA had better have some breathing mods and extra boost to compensate. Not a bad FF sedan... good if you want a cheap Turbo but want more room/better engine than a Pulsar ET...

Still waiting on Carlo, Nick and the gang to put in their 2c on the show...
  8. Hey no probs guys... Stay tune, coz tonight I'm uploading: NSX's, Z33's, random stuff, and of course, the Race Queens!
  9. There aren't 4 cam settings dude... Theres details of the inlet and exhaust cam for the Stage 1 engine, and details of the inlet and exhaust cams for the Stage 2 engine. Easy! Yes... I think you'd come to the same conclusion after seeing the HKS Full Carbon bodied Evo VII. The Japanese have really concentrated on weight reduction in the last few years, just look at the C-West S200, the HKS Evo VII, Mines cars, the Cyber Evo Evo VII... seeing all those cars in action, they are bloody fast for what they are, eg: buyable road cars. My point is, the Mines R34 GT-R is but one of the super fast track cars in Japan, so at least to me it doesn't seem so unbelieveable that it can be as fast as what it is.
  10. Thats a sweeping conclusion considering it's based just on looks!I saw about 5 or 6 of these at the Tokyo Auto Salon on Saturday, all modified (some heavier than others) and I even sat in the Nismo V35 350GT demo car... the very one featured in the article above. It's a very, very good car.

Dave, if you can make it to the Osaka Messe, that would be awesome. It's from the 6th-8th of Febuary. Osaka Auto Messe This time, it'll just be you, me, Troy and a another guy, so we should be able to move throught the show pretty well. We should do something special for SAU/GTROC UK etc...

I thought you were going on the Sunday...?Hey Dave, were those pics taken with your keitai?
  13. "Automotive bigots?"... you missed my point. If this was a yank forum, they'd be like this: "Theres a car auction in *Melbourne, Down Under*, or *Sydney, Australia*... with emphasis on what country it's in. I just don't see why every non-american in this world should be well versed in the names of their states. Try going onto GTP forums and saying you're from Queensland... Back on topic, did Callaway get rid of that leaf spring live rear axel on any of those cars?
  14. Middle one monkey... the bottom one says "ichiban".
  15. Gunmetal. Why don't you go black? Black would look alot tougher against the paintwork.
  16. Definately say "Kuchi de shite mo ii?" to a teacher...
  17. Did you ask somebody that darK? ...or did somebody say that to you? It doesn't quite make sense. If you want to give oral sex to someone, then say: "Oraru sekusu o shite mo ii desu ka?" If someone said that to you, then reply with: "II YO!" You could also be a smart arse and say "Kuchi de shite mo ii?" to which the erectile gentleman would reply "Ii yo, ii yo... hayaku!":D

  19. Phew! What a weekend... I'll keep my comments short and sweet, and leave all the reviewing to Nick, Carlo and the other SAU lads that went... they'd have a "better" perspective of the show than me, as I'm not so fazed by Japanese standard showcars anymore. It was yet another memorable event, the highlight for me was definately meeting Dave, Troy, Nick, Carlo and the rest (not to forget Barry and the UK boys - sorry if I forgot some names). As for the cars - there'll be the requisite Photo Diary chapter added by Tuesday... so I'll leave my comments to just one: Light Blue Do Luck R34 GT-R. The Bollocks. By far my favourite car there on the day, and the full-carbon fibre HKS Lancer Evo VII was a close second... if not for outright speed, as was seen on their Tsukuba time attack video, with the HKS Evo running a flat 55'00"00 secs. I had a great time, although we got split up pretty early on and we didn't get the SAU group photo!!! And I didn't get to introduce the SAU crew to the C-West guys... next time:( Over to the other guys that went...
  20. "Scottsdale, Arizona"? ...and which country is that in?!?
  21. We can't get there any earlier dude....
  22. Give us a buzz if you need to: 090-7362-8242... cya tomorrow...
  23. Please don't credit the Yanks with cool Japanese stuff... Do Luck = Japanese. I mean, as if the Yanks could come up with a name like that? (let alone the cars!)
  24. Said GT-R (14,000kms) for 45k... from a DEALER.
