  1. NEEEEEXT!? Ah, hi there rrrage... Could I answer your question with a question? Ah-hem... Who said the Next GT-R is designated "R35"? Fffffffwhat I think you'll find is that the new GT-R will pipple-o-popple-lopously be based on the "V"35 platform... without question. It WILL be a "xx-V35 GT-R". All this "R35" business is sprouting from pre-2001 Tokyo Motor Show rumours about the current Skyline... even some Japanese guys were saying "R35". But now they've all changed their tune. Right... NEEEEEEXT! j/k
  2. Check it out, this article taken from Performance Forums... (thanks Troy, the man in Itami for this one!) Theres nothing really new to said here, although you can see from what Ghosn says, he's got a stranglehold of the GT-R development program, and it seems as though Ghosn wants to have his name printed somewhere on the bootlid maybe...
  3. ...bloody American/European markets...
  4. You got a 1995 vintage "Tomica Limited" LM Road Car and 400R? Where did you find them?

  6. Found these using "Google"...
  7. The money sounds about right. I mean, if you blow that in 10 days you`ll be doing ok... What else did you want to know about?

Sorry Chris, anything that takes more than 3 seconds to answer gets put on the backburner right now. I'm flat out. Hang in there I'll PM ya soon.
  9. Hahahaha! Good one! That car must have a 1150mm spacers on the front to "accomodate" those FWD offset rims...
  10. I can't really find anymore info on them... other than the size and PCD of that particular wheel I posted above, suffice to say they're out of production, seem to be relatively rare (other guys who have them are going to great extents to keep them looking new) and are pretty renowned as an "oldskool" type rim. They're made by SSR (quality and lightweight), and SSR are the dons of the oldskool as far as racing style rims go...
  11. Check the "Prices of New Cars in Japan" thread in the Japan forum... and all wil be rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrevealed.
  12. Happy New Year guys... I hope '04 will be vastly improved over '03, I've got a feeling it will! Taken from GTP Forums: - 11-13-03 @ 4:45 AM (Post #63) quote: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Originally posted by rollazn Yeah both diablo and skyline 1/4 time is slow.. the gtr mostly run high 12- low 13s fastest gtr i seen run is 12.777 in a R33 in a cold month but thats during cold months, so. Anyway aveage GT-R run 12.8-13.0s and the Diablo is quite fast around low 12s thats a big difference but the power is a big difference too. The top speed isnt 112 on the GT-R im very sure about that and yeah that is pretty weird how the GT-R was very slow. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- the top speed on the GTR is electronically limited to 112, simply cutting the #53 wire on the ecu (yellow and silver one) will effectively remove the limiter. You also have to remember that the skyline is running on 1/2 the engine. As for it's poor performace on the skidpad, you seem to forget that the reason the skyline does poorly is because of the Super Hicas that greatly hampers it in that area, removing the Hicas fuse will yeild greater performance. As for the fastest GTR I've seen a [email protected] and the Croydon Wholesalers R32 GTR ran a 8.69 @ 158 mph on street tires. I've also seen the HKS GTR putting out over 1500 Hp and running 51 psi of boost. There is also the 1360 hp fully road registered and street legal (yes it passes emissions) veilside GTR. Considering all the factors epecially price the GTR is more than a match for any diablo. Oh yeah I forgot to mention that the skyline has also been detuned. See nissan only sets the injector duty cycle at 80% from the factory, meaning the skyline can only run at 80% efficiency. Another little issues is the boost restrictor plug placed inside the engine that forces all the boost through a tiny hole, simply remove it and you get instant free power. Take RazorGTR's R23 skyline for an example. He removed the plug, bought an aftermarket chip to take care of the 80% duty cycle problem and he runs an 11.82 @ 112 mph in full street trim including spare wheel and all tools and full interior...ooh wow only 300 bucks and hes running 11's in a car that was built in 1992. BTW incase you are wondering...he only paid 14K for his car, nowhere neat the price of the diablo. Proud member of the NISSAN SKYLINE Fan club Have a Skyline Question? Skyline GTR Horsepower costs money, how fast can you afford to go? ____________________________________________ Whats all this about a boost restrictor? And the duty cycle? All you guys with R32 GT-Rs have done this? Am I reading this right? I had quite a few last night...
  13. They're SSR Mark II Rs... Like this, but not gunmetal... and not 14"...
  14. Yessiree...
  15. I'm sure with the right contacts you could check out practically every part of HKS HQ... but thats the thing, if you just just rock up unannounced I'm sure they'd just say "muri" (impossible/no can do) if you ask them about the Zero R.
  16. Thanks rb25! Isn't it funny how that the people who have seen the V35 in the metal like them, and those that haven't, don't?
  17. I saw one in Perth about 3-4 years ago... it was turbo, but I didn't think it was the L20ET, I could've been mistaken.
  18. You mean the ones that aren't in your post?
  19. I'd say they are out the back of this place... ...in Fujinomiya City, Shizuoka-Ken, Japan. So now you know where they are, are you gonna buy/borrow/steal one?
  20. I agree there, as ex_zero said, pictures don't quite do the V35 justice. Seeing them in person (coupe and sedan) practically every day, I find that theres very little similarity between the Fairlady Z and the V35... strange, but true. But a heck of a lot of Japanese cars are trying to do that soft-hard edged look which doesn't always work, eg: Teana/Maxima. The current Mark II looks BMWish? Or the JZX100?
  21. ...oh sh!t... :headspin:
  22. Hey Carlo, Best go to an International ATM (they should be near where you are), or suss out where a Citibank is near your hotel, and use your Cirrus cash or credit card there and withdraw in bulk... Places like Up Garage *should* accept credit card, but they aren't prepared for it, so you might be in for a 15min transaction... just pay cash.
  23. Dave, your missus and my missus will keep each other company won't they? ...fingers crossed! Theres nothing worse than a missus who's complaining while you're "working"... heh, heh
