  1. Best of all worlds eh Demon Dave? I lived in Mie-ken a couple of years back, and not a day went by where I thought about re-locating there for good... because of the superior car situation. ...and proximity to Suzuka!!!
  2. He didn't say *only* the GTS-X's have the auto spoiler... but at that stage I knew the guy hadn't turned his brain on to talk to me.
  3. Badman: Hope you can make it after you graduate!
  4. Hey Stang: Thats one thing I`ve been meaning to check out. How much do people pay for Option/Option2 in Oz? I can pick em up for 500yen (A$6.17) a piece, theyre heavy bastards, so freight is gonna be a factor, but I think I could get out of it for $15-20(??) a copy...
  5. Hey Badman: Itsu Nihon ni ikitai? Nihon de sumu wa basho ga kimatta? Osaka to Kobe o sugoi osusumeru! Sore wa boku no ikken dake... demo zettai Nihon wa dokodemo ii yo! I think most experince from cars comes from the "hands on" approach, just get out there and do it... and cry about your financial position later!
  6. Yeah, damn that tiny specs page! I just tried to buzz SuperAutobacs, and as you can imagine, just getting through to someone in the service dept (my Japanese is "adequate"...) was hard enough. The guy basically said *vaguely* "aaah, theres different materials used in the cabin... the GTS-X has a automatic front spoiler... why don`t you bring the car to us?" I left it at that. I`ll get my wife (shes Jap) to call Nissan. I`m actually going down to SuperAutobacs this weekend for their annual car show, I`ll definately be able to finalize this once and for all then.
  7. Can I add to the car owning side of things, that having a parking space in Japan is rediculously expensive too. Demon Dave (obviously living in a "real" house, as opposed to an apartment) doesn't have to pay for parking, if I'm not mistaken. I have to pay 12,000yen/month JUST FOR A PARKING SPACE in my building! Ok, it's fully secure, and it's one of those underground-to-surface elevator jobs, but that money would go a looooong way for modifications if you have the car for a year...
  8. I been here for 3 1/2 years. Got married to a lovely Japanese lass last year, and have been teaching English the whole time. But it's not all cool though (well 0.0001% not cool!) The English Teaching market is starting to make a swing in favour of South Korea. The earning potential in S.K. seems to be better than Japan nowadays mainly because of the lower cost of living. I would agree with Demon Dave though, setting up your own business is THE way to go for the more experienced, married, Japanese speaking foreigners, but for somebody just off the plane (landing in Kansai), get a local mini-zine called Kansai Fleemarket... instant jobs. GEOS only hire from overseas, but NOVA, ECC, AEON, Berlitz etc will take you on with any Uni degree. This place (Osaka, Kobe) blew me away when I first came here, seeing real-life street DRIFTING in Nanko, Osaka... finally driving on the Wangan Route... going to C-West in Nishinomiya... finally seeing a JGTC race at SUZKA CIRCUIT... car lovers dream come true really. Are there any JAPANESE (off chance) members on this board?
  9. Heh, I almost went for a JZX90 MarkII, but Ikeya Formula ARE NOT going to make their sequencial shifter for them... so I went for the HCR32.
  10. Check this out... go to the 7th catalogue from the right, it's the GTS 2-door at the top, then towards the bottom of the catalogue, you can see all the variants, including the GTS-X. I CAN read Japanese, if you have any questions, but zooming in on this catalogue just makes the print blurry. Just do a simple cross-check with the pics interior/exterior first, then if you still can't firgure it out, I'll call SuperAutobacs...
  11. >95GTST: I don't think you'd be able to sell it back here. The cost of freight on top of the peanuts you'd get for it wouldn't make it worthwhile for you or the buyer...
