I don't have one, but have driven the wagon version called the 'Legnum VR-4'. It was an auto so didn't really get a feel for it as what I could've with a manual, but for what it is it's (the Galant) a great alternative to a Toyota Mark II or R33 sedan. Being front wheel drive based 4WD you do get that typical feel of understeer, but straight line performance is on par with the others mentioned, and on paper really should go as well as an Evo 5/6 but I don't think so. As for the Galant you can't really argue with those looks, it's very well proportioned. But it fails miserably for aftermarket support compared to Skylines, theres only a handful of companies in Japan that really support the Galant/Legnum and even then they aren't exactly cheap. Try finding stuff for Mitsu GTO's and adapt... Yahoo will come to the rescue somewhat too. Other thing is the engine is a trasverse mounted twin turbo so with the limited room and piping everywhere you might find it hard to find someone who enjoys working on them. Some specs: Chassis: EC5A Engine: 6A12 Capacity: 2498cc Type: Quad cam 24 valve V6 twin turbo Trans: 5MT/4AT Power: 280ps @ 5500rpm Torque: 37.0kg/m @ 4000rpm Weight: 1480kg

Actually that car needs some serious rims under those guards so much that I had to post it again... nothing under 18x10 +19 (front) and 18x12 +10 (rear) will redeem your car now my son... hope you've got a spare $5000 for decent wheels and tires. My brothers HCR32 wears 18x10 +19 on the rear with camber and NO GUARD MODS bar lipping... so you'll need some wiiiiiide rims with low offset to make your car look right. **edit: Just realized it's a GT-R... 18x12 +10 all round matey! **edit #2: Bad move sticking a GTS-t bodykit on a GT-R. Now the guards at the front are less wide than the rear, but you need the same width wheels front and rear. So either the front wheels will fill the guards nicely with a 'sunken battleship' offset look on the rear, or wheels fitting nicely at the rear (ie: flush with the guards) and sticking out on the front.

I trust some 18x12 +10 are on order?

Just a matter of deciphering those auction workers chicken scratch handwriting hey? Mind you it's almost as dificult for native Japanese to decipher as it is to us lowly P-plater gaijin.

Nicks Japanese is coming along nicely I see

Smells like f*ckedgaijin...

It has awesome value added Xenon headlights installed... good for another 100,000 yen on top of the asking price. It's got aftermarket alloy pipng or something to that effect. No offense Poida but it's a 'Nismo' bumper... that '=' is actually 二 (ni). About the hitherto untranslated bits of the auction sheet: On the 28th March 2002 (when the car was previously up for auction), the mileage at that time read 44,900kms and a claim was made to dispute this - probably by examining paperwork - so that just a few months prior on 11th Dec 2001 the odometer read 49,554kms. It's most likely had it's instrument cluster changed. In other words, this sucker is packing up to 100,000kms lifespan ;)

What, even Rosie O'Donnell? maybe just those silicon injected, consmetic mask wearing waifs are all about the 'bling'... More cars please franks! Did you get any pics of some true American modified monstrosities?

V6 (M35) and V8 (M45) export versions of the Nissan Fuga... No it's not, the Fuga is one body size up from the Skyline. The 'Next Skyline' in that link you posted just looks a little like the Fuga... which looks a little like a V35... which looks a little like a Murano... which looks a little like a Tiida...

You still need help on this? Theres nothing there that says you have to use a 'correct' accel cable... I assuming that the instructions are for the installation of the GReddy manifold with the stock RB25 throttle body (and GReddy adapter). As far as installing it with a Q45 throttle body, I'm sure someone in the tech section could help you easily.

What flares are you refering to? Heres their website: http://www6.ocn.ne.jp/~zenitani/ ... but I bet your bottom dollar they either don't know or (more likely) don't respond to your mail. Best just post up a pic of the car you saw these flares on and we'll (I'll???) try and find some info.

I think someones confused you mate... The 'Nismo GTR Vspec' kit or whatever you called it *is* the 400R kit. The trouble with all the low-quality fiberglass copies being made by companies in Australia is that they all have their own pet names for the kit they produce, even if one kit is a copy of another kit that was copied off the original 400R kit...

Best Auto Trimmer Ever - At Fantastic Prices
Rezz replied to maccattack's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
^^^ I guess they're 'Chubby' seats now... In all seriousness though that is shocking. Surely the trimmer who did it must've had second thoughts about his handywork along the way? -
Before they become a permanent resident? I don't think that is a limitation... A friend of mine from Perth is a JET teacher in Kobe and he ritualisticly has been exporting one car a year for the last 4 years to AU. He owns them for a year then imports them into AU as Personal imports. They don't need compliancing per se other than the basic roadworthy stuff and it can be any car and any year at all (modified or one already sold in AU). But, you have to prove that you owned the car for a year over their with insurance, parking space, rego papers etc. Thats more difficult than it sounds as it's all extra paperwork to keep track of. Can't remember exactly which taxes you are exempt from with personal importing, but I'm sure someone else can post about that. It's definately worthwhile to do if you want say a V35 Skyline 350GT or a recent model like that. Even thought they can be complied in AU, you'd be saving $$$$ by doing it personal import. On the other hand if you wanted a car that can't be complied in AU for whatever reason (eg: Evo 9) it would be worthwile doing aswell. The only downside(?) is that you have to sacrifice a year of your life in Japan...

Nissan and Cosworth have had an on-off relationship going right back to the late-80's. One well known engine developed by Cosworth on behalf of Nissan was the RNN14 Nissan Pulsar GTi-R SR20DET. As for not using Renault's assistance, I guess it's a matter of 'going with what you know' and have Cosworth on board, rather than risk building what would be - in essence - the first French engineered GT-R.

After about 45 minutes of looking at all-Japanese sites, I give up. But... your wheels look *almost* exactly the same as Work Giallo's, but the Giallos don't have a removable center cap: You wouldn't be lying if you said they were Giallos, but you wouldn't be 100% correct either.

Commodore Is Not The Best Car Ever
Rezz replied to craig V8 taffe's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Having not seen a VE yet funkey I wouldn't agree nor disagree with you... but going by past Commo's and the penchant for 'sportiness' the Fuga kinda just sort of seems like the right competitor. The Cima probably tops the Caprice for class though. -
Yes but freight... nobody wants to pay for freight, even if Santa personally sent that Hard Gay Kurohige Kiki Ippatsu direct to their door from the north pole... Or are you suggesting Razor Ramon works the counters at 'J-Fanboy Warehouse' Sydney City store?
-
Do you reckon those two birds behind the blue Sagaris are discussing the cars at the show? Why aren't they lying over the cars and adding extra value to the shot? Back to work bisshes
-
But after the GT-Rs release, watch most of the foreign press support Porsche over the GT-R no matter what... even if it really is better, which would make the GT-R the 'best car in the world' then

I've edited my first post... mcnamg: I'll post pics of the R32 up maybe end of next week. Yeah my younger brother Trent own TKO Tinting, and my other brother owns SunGuard Superstore in Myaree.
