Got an alarm, but complacency had kicked in. Sometimes you just forget to put it on, pretty poor I know. Getting a roller door installed and I have always wanted a dog too! Great story RubyRS4, I would have loved the person to stick around, I got a 750mm Sidchrome breaker bar under my bed and my brother collects knives. Mike

I wish she did scream a would have been up quicker, oh well, it is just material things but it is the fact that we were all in the house at the time. My brother said before he went back to bed was, "I hope the last hit of drugs kills them", I couldn't agree more!

Thought this might be more appropriate in the Wasteland, Lock your doors and roller doors every night, and put the alarm on. Don't get lazy!!!!! Just got broken into last night, PS3 with games, Panasonic handycam and mobile phones all gone. Thank god the GTR was safe and tucked away. Scary thing though, mum woke up and saw the bloke in our house, he looked at her and legged it. Mum woke me and my dad up and I burst out the house ran around the corner and chased the bastards as they drove off. How is that, while we were asleep? Anyway, sorry to put a downer on everything, but don't get lazy guys. I think in these times this sort of stuff will be happening more as people get more desperate. Mike

I agree, my car was stock, installed a V88 and everything improved, cold & warm start, idle which are things you would assume the stock ecu would do better, not so. V88 is the ants pants!

I have a V88 installed in my R33 GTR, has not missed a beat since it got tuned in August last year! Installed and tuned by Brett West in Adelaide. Mike

How Do I Tell If My Diff Is Fcuked?
bigmikespec replied to Shaun's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Fineline & Jarrod, How did you guys go with your A-LSDs? What did you end up doing? Mine in my R33 GTR Vspec is open wheeling major. I was thinking of replacing the whole bloody rear diff with a standard GTR one. Mike -
Whether it is related or not I do not know, but in a wind tunnel they use mesh to "condition" the airflow. They also use honeycomb to a similar effect. Mike

Nzmo32 R32 Gtr Build Up.

Great work, love the photos. Do you think you could post up some photos of your intercooler piping (when you get to it)? Good luck, Mike -
My tuner said to me that it was a genuine "test" to make sure the gauges were functioning. Then we both laughed...

Another firmware upgrade, time to add a speedo sweep to my tacho sweep at key on! Oh right!

Weird Noise Found - Engine F**ked
bigmikespec replied to Adz2332's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I agree with DAN00H definately go for some new rods. Look up what "fatigue failure" is and you will want to get some new rods trust me. However with regard to dumps, a bell mouth style would be the ducks nuts, forget about split dumps. Considering the housing on the turbo is not designed to work with the dumps, see attached. The one on the left is a Garrett -5. Mike -
Have a search, rip the HICAS s**t off. There is a long thread on how to do it on a R32 GTR somewhere in the suspension section. Mike

Sorry to hear the bad news man! All the best in fixing it up. More power means you need a better driveline and fuel system to support, adds up to more $$$. Considering you are up for $10k already. -
Just A Few Pics Of My Gt2860r-707160-5 Turbo Swap
bigmikespec replied to DAS KAMU's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Agreed, except the the part about getting the same place at the same time in a $500 and $150,000 car, haha. I would go for ported and coated standard manifolds if it were me. The only thing that would put me off would be the age of the manifolds themselves and their resistance to cracking, everything has a fatigue life! Mike -

You should start a "What parts you do not need for 400kW" thread. I know what you are getting at but this bloke has spent some money on his car you do not need to bring him down a peg by saying what he does not need. -
The last half dozen posts on this thread are mega funny, I laughed out loud at work. Jonnyboy89 that is the funniest post I have ever read... Oh man, gold! So as to not be put off sex for the rest of my life post kids my missus can get cut open. No hot-dog down a hallway for me.

Sorry man didn't mean to be a c..t about it but that is what I was told from a guy at V-Sport. Good luck with it, it is a sick looking dash. A digital dash is on the list of things I would like to get for my GTR one day. Mike

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but STACK distributors (like V-Sport in Australia) will not/can not support STACK dashes purchased from SARD in Japan. Apparantly there are some changes that SARD do to the dashes before they sell them. This info has come from a tech guy at V-Sport. Mike

Why would you want to strangle a large turbo with a tiny housing? Seems pointless, get a smaller turbo (or pair of) to make the power you want at the rpm you feel adequate. It is like some people are buying a TO4Z for the wrong reasons and doing everything possible (including choking it with a tiny housing) to make it produce power at lower rpm. My 2c Mike

Silver R32 GTS and a black R32 GTR, plus a mad looking Gemmi, parked around the corner from my place. Stopped and said gday, nice people, saw an SAU sticker on the GTS. Mike

Negating the size of the valves etc, and without looking in my fluid dynamics books increasing the exhaust valve port (i.e. increasing cross sectional area) will decrease the velocity of the gases (assuming a constant mass flow rate of gases). It is just a question of what is more desirable in head design. I would think larger inlet ports (to allow a larger volume of air) and a polished smooth exhaust port of smaller cross section (to allow the exhaust gases to flow at high velocity with the least amount of restriction possible) would be somewhere on the right track. But "larger" and "smaller" are just words there would be a considerable amount of calculations involved to optimise the inlet and exhaust ports. Very interesting topic. Mike

Just happened to be on the Garrett website, 310hp each. http://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarre...0R_707160_7.htm
