  1. Good one, if it is not too late get your head back! Or just get them to do as I suggested and forgot all the porting.
  2. Lol, it is not a matter if how many agree... It is a fact that it will be the case. Some reading on subject would help.
  3. Yes, but that is not the overall issue... the whole exhaust side including turbocharger will be too small. The problem is you will have way too much engine for the turbocharger you have selected, you will end up having high exhaust back pressure relative to boost pressure and with the duration camshafts you are thinking about you will end up having reversion. To take advantage of the 'blow down' effect (i.e. 1:1 ratio of exhaust manifold pressure to boost pressure) you need bigger turbo, bigger exhaust housing, an engine built to rev high (as most of its life will be above 5000-6000rpm if it is an RB).... then you can spec some longer duration camshafts with some overlap. If it was me, RB26/30 with the turbocharger you have, E85 so you can screw as much into the turbocharger as possible with a stock RB26 head (just get rid of sharp edges and unshroud valves in combustion chamber) and spend $6k on your driveline!
  4. If you are using a GT35R with the 0.8 (ish) housing and a 3.5" exhaust then you are wasting $6k... sorry. Exhaust back pressure will be too high to take advantage of cams with overlap. I would also forget about any cams that have increased duration over stock with what ever you get done. I would have bought a gearbox with an OS Giken gearset for that money.
  5. Still got these bad boys... doesn't anyone want some hardcore fuel pumps capable of flowing 1000hp each that will last a lifetime? Too many cheap Bosch and Walbros around these days, come on lads
  6. Ok fellas, my PM is now clear... I might be able to recieve a few PM's with some offers now anything around the high $2k mark will get it!
  7. Yes I thought ths spine count may have been different. I bought a late model mech. R32 GTR diff complete with the intention of swapping my R33 GTR active diff but never got around to it. I since picked up a couple of cheap R33 GTR mech diffs as well so I may be able to help depending on how you go.
  8. Bumping this up for a Monday afternoon!
  9. Just to prevent mis-information.
  10. I had a Getrag with everything for the conversion and didn't do it... I don't think it was much of an upgrade in retrospect in terms of strength (besides the ratios) and it is generally accepted that they are not rebuildable (even though people do), and spare parts availability is an issue. So I got rid of it... I agree with the fat man.
  11. Hi lads, I bought these pumps brand new from the USA about 12 months ago, never been used. Removed from packaging then put back in and stayed boxed up since then. These are not big enough for the revised build spec. hence the reason for sale. This is a 1000hp setup as put together by a senior tech at Weldon with the 1100-A as a lift pump feeding a surge tank then the D2015-A as the high pressure pump to the rail. http://www.weldonracing.com/product/64/1100-A_Flow_Through_Fuel_Pump.html http://www.weldonracing.com/product/10-6/D2015-A_%28-8_inlet___outlet%29.html Ideally they should be sold together for someone looking to upgrde their fuel system and never have to work about it even again. And if they ever do kak themselves, you can rebuild it with a cheap kit purchased from Weldon! Try doing that with a Bosch or Walbro. I will sell them separately as both can be used individually anyway but I needed two pumps as I was running a surge tank. D2015-A can be had for $700.00 1100-A can be had for $400.00 Prices are firm, will ship at buyer expense. Just remember, if you bought these new you are paying at least 10% more plus shipping plus GST as the value is over $1000.00. Thanks all, Mike 0407801338
  12. Moderators please delete, I am starting a new thread.
  13. I bought this about 12 months ago and have not even got to using it yet, because I am upping my hp I think this pump might just run out of steam. So I need to go the next size up (D2025). Brand new, still in packaging, anyone who knows about these pumps knows that they are the best you can buy, so no point me trying to give the sales pitch. It is the best, you want it, you buy it. http://www.weldonracing.com/product/10-6/D2015-A_%28-8_inlet___outlet%29.html Price is $728 AUD (as listed in USD) so you save about 10% plus what it cost me to get it here. Thanks, Mike 0407801338 PS: that is not my phone in pic
  14. I would buy one of those as they don't have the surge holes, better efficiency higher up!
  15. You are over-thinking it, the turbocharger should be sized appropriately (using a compressor map) to your engine... bearing type should be one of the last considerations. Put it this way, I bought a Borg Warner S366 which has very similar size and design turbine and compressor wheels as a EFR9180 but is journal bearing and doesn't have the fancy material compressor wheel, wanky & ugly (IMO) BOV in the compressor housing. Cost me all of $750.00, flows the air that I need at the required pressure ratio.
  16. The front one is right next to my foot still under my desk at work soon to be joined by the rear one! Slow build man, you will find out before me fortunately for you... I think we got the last ones before the price rise too!
  17. I bought this engine with the intention of putting it into my old Landcruiser which I have recently sold. So the engine is sitting there no longer required and will fund the completion of my GTR. This engine is complete with everything ready to drop into another car for a conversion: - All accessories (water pump, manifold, throttle body, coil packs... etc) - Complete wiring loom - Computer (or PCM) - Exhaust manifolds - Auto flex plate This engine can be sold as an assembled short block with assembled heads, all accesories, manifolds, intake plenum etc... or can be sold assembled with brand new OEM gasket kit. All engine machining and assembly carried out by SA's number one engine workshop. Bottom end was completely rebuilt with new bearings and piston rings, washed, honed, etc. Upgraded parts include: - Duel valve springs (153lbs) - Comp Cams (XR265HR) - ARP Head Bolts (Pro Series) - Comp Cams Hydraulic Roller Lifters This is basically a brand new LS1 engine with some upgraded parts, should make upwards of 450hp with no issue. As I have sold off the Landcruiser I just want to get the money back on what I have put into it, I can show any serious buyer EXACTLY what is has cost me down to the last cent. Price (has been dropped) is $3500.00 and that is for the assembled short block, assembled heads and all remaining parts, accesories, wiring looms, computers, etc... ready to drop into anything you want. 18. One bit of information I forgot... the engine originally came out of a VZ. Offers welcome from someone who wants a cool engine conversion project!
  19. Yes I just picked one up too... so I got the front and rear! In a R33 GTR however.
  20. Someone must want to have the ultimate response S13, R32/R33... etc http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=s13+ls1 http://my105.com/ListingDetails/tabid/65/p/1/k/ls1/id/8759/Default.aspx
  21. PRICE DROP! This weekend for SAU people... $3500.00, make an offer close enough you might get it.
