well just to update you guys i went to the cop shop yesterday and they took down the details of what happend and took photos. the good news is ; his screwed - he apparently blew 2-3times over the limit, 1.something i cant remember so his being charged for drink driving carelessnes and endangering lives i asked the cop and he said his gonna lose his liscense for a while and a fine around 1k bad news is. i cant do shit about my car. cause its an accident and cops cant really help me out, unless he actually vandalised my car. and seeings though i only got 3rd im pretty much screwd. but oh well what can u do now. so please drive u guys out there, not worth the money and the effort. cheers

i like the idea that was mentioned on the first page " always carry a pen and paper in your glove box" will always come in handy sooner or later. but yea third party insurance should be the bare minimum. i got a friend that has to pay 14k cause he smashed into a brand new corollla and he had no insurance. comes out of his pay check every week on apprentice wages.

its true that the police have been more lenient ( if that how u spell it =s ) around the area, not sure about other suburbs but i know springvale is much nicer. but u still get those evil looks from those orange highway patrol cars which i know is scary if they notive you. cause u see them all the time handing out defects.

it was very hard cause when there was two lanes there was a car right beside me doing the same speed as me thats why he was so pissed off and couldnt pass, i would either have to slow down or speed up and change lanes, but why should i if i was just driving home and all i wanted to do is get home and sleep -.-

i think i the law is and correct me if im wrong that u must always stay in the left lane unless overtaking. but not sure if it applies if your doing the correct speed limit. cause usually the slower people that drive under the speed limit are in the left lane.

i do know that my damage isnt nothing major major to be pointing out on the forums but the whole idea was just to point out to all the sau members out there that love your cars and to know how shattering it is to have your baby hit and not look the same anymore to just be patient and drive safe. keep an eye out for everyone on the raod and i do find it stupid how skylines are stereotyped as HOONS. because i know not all of us are like that. to take care of your car if like a great hobby and drive sensibly (petrol prices as well but i know that sometimes doesnt stop us) just good for everyone to be aware and dont do the mistakes that others have made, so im hoping that this made some impact on some of you guys driving out there.

dreamr33 I was hit in the rear by a taxi once. I was found to be at fault by my insurance company. Why? Because, technically, I didnt provide him with enough room/time to brake once I got into his lane. Basically, he was in my blind spot, and I cut him off in order to turn right into a street. If this gentleman was driving eratically, quickly got into your lane and slammed on the anchors, you could argue the same point right? thats very very simalar to what happend. and thank you guys for sharing your thoughts, does make me feel better just might be hard for me to claim any money. really nice to see the sau members out there so thoughtful to one another so thank you. i will definatly keep you guys informed and tell u what happends when i speak to the police. i do understand that by law im pretty screwed but i feel as if theres still some hope for me to get money for his alcohol limit. just thought i'd share that i remember when i said whos gonna fix it since it was your fault he replied " wheres your number plate" turns out that it fell onto the floor so i ran back ( cause we turned down a small st to talk) and gave it to him. he took out the excisting screws and put my number plate back on and told me its fixed! your mum wont even see the damage. f@#ken smartarse -.-

oh thanks for that paul. im lucky that my car doesnt run that crap but just runs so shhhhiet and feels so wrong but inspections and report are on tuesday at the cop shop so im hoping all goes well and his gone for being over the blood alcohol limit. fingers crossed

hi just thought i'd share this i own an r32 gtst was driving home last night on springvale road around 12 oclock where there was this 4wd that was behind me highbeaming me. keeping in mind that it was only a 60k road. i tried to speed up but i didnt want to get busted speeding cause was about to drive past the police station. so everyone time i reached 70 i would brake because i was scared but at the same time he would creep up even closer then i braked.it was only 2 lanes and there was a car next to me so he couldnt overtake. then when the opportunity came for him 3 lanes opend up so he from the far right lane where i was he changed into the first lane(far left) and speed up and changed into my lane again. i saw him press the brake and though "omg what an idiot to do this" so i pressed my brake only to find out that he actually came to a complete stop on springvale road locked my brakes and skidded into the back of his car which happens to have a towbar sticking out. i got out and said what the f@#k and so on blah blah. said think about it. u went into me. but i insisted to call the police, yet the police couldnt do anything nor come because no one was injured and no weapons and etc were present. yet 10minutes later the cops ended up coming. took the stories down as per usual but BY LAW THE POLICE CANT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. BECAUSE I HIT HIS BEHIND. i was so angry to hear that because all i got is 3rd party insurance. the police asked him why did he stop and he said " i saw a dog run past" the policemen asked what color was the dog, he replied "black", policemen said always is a black dog. breathe tested me and him but i think he failed bought him back to the police station then an hour later i received a call and was asked to come in on tuesday to write a report and for them to take pictures, they said he was under the influence of alcohol i asked what he blew, which apparently was over the limit. so hopefully i can get some money to repair my car. just though i would share this story to the sau members and be safe on the road. cause i was shattered to see my car damaged the way it was after i spent alot of time to get it running in good nik so please drive safe fellas and thank you for listening.\ the damage i recieved on my car was ; bonnet pushed up light pushed back gtr grill cracked indicator mount broken (left hanging out) bumper is basically gone intercooler has a massive dent in it after driving my car today i felt that i lost power, my boost drops down once it reaches peak and car stalls when braking and clutching in

Hello.. currently i have a r32gtr with nismo front & catback exhaust and apexi pod filters... I plan on doing some more modifications one step at a time (e.g turbo, pfc ) However, FOR NOW, i'm more interested in gains at the low range say 0 to 120k'ms...rather than overall power because most of my driving is done between this range. Or does increasing overall power and responsiveness come hand in hand??? I've been told cam gears improve response and just wondering if this is worth doing even with my current setup with minimal mods... I'm welcome to suggestions on other alternatives/upgrades... cheers
