Hey Joe, or anyone for that matter.. Is there any evidence that the Full Race Manifold is worth the cost vs 6boost & ETM etc being about double the $ ?? Will wait and see how Piggaz's turns out, as I also have a 2.8, been running a TO4Z for a couple of years on stainless china manifold, time to get with the times, with a good manifold and probably a Precision.. wouldn't the one Jez is running, with 30+ psi on a 2.8L with cams etc see 450-500rwkw ? with awesome responce .

Does This Seem A Little Slow To You?
tricstar replied to Gareth's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
it looks alright, on what basis are you basing the whole thing on.. ie. 80-160 in 7 seconds ? is that what they were doing in Fast and the Furious ?? yours actually looks pretty good, especially with only 246kw's -
i know what your saying, I've given up on offset on my R33 gtr , did have 10mm spaces just on the back, and didn't upset anything. Don't think I'd go as far 20mm unless your going a bolt on, thats a lot of thread to lose in your wheel nut..

Changing R32 Gtr Front Wheel Bearings
tricstar replied to SiR_RB's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
not too hard, like everything, hardest the first time round.. if you can ( depending on type of rim ) crack the big main centre nut before you take the wheels off and jack the car off the ground, saves trying to stop the wheel from turning ! I snapped 2 x 1/2 inch breaker bars trying to crack the back ones until I remembered I had and air impact driver in the shed ! ( that sucker undoes anything ) now my favourite tool !! If your taking the front driveshafts out you'll be most of the way there, as far as what needs to come off. once you've cracked that nut and you get the brake caliper & rotor off, everything else will be quite obvious at that point. One tip, I went and bought myself a 150mm bearing puller for pressing out the shafts out of the hubs and also things like the steering arms out of the hubs too. first I did the old nut on the end of the thread and hit it out, but ended up damaging the threads so I'd recommend taking your time and using a puller or something. good luck mate -
Changing R32 Gtr Front Wheel Bearings
tricstar replied to SiR_RB's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
just did front wheel bearings on my R33 GTR recently, so i had to take the whole wheel hub assemble off and get the bearings pressed out at pedders, with a big bearing press. The first workshop I went to couldn't budge them, and was afraid of breaking the hub, they had so much force on it ! so they can be a bit of a prick.. -
Maybe wants more power, like everyone else Think Ant can be found through Fabcar now.. he's probably your best bet.

Tps For Hypertune Single Throttle Body
tricstar replied to tricstar's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Genius .... yeah it came on a 89-95 240sx/S13 with a ka24e sohc engine, and a 92-94 Infiniti J30, both of which look like they only came out in the US... haven't been able to find a new one anywhere, after hours of Googling.. looks like I'll just have to buy one of the secondhand one's, which is not what I wanted.. Or, one last option.. it may have been on the VH45DE engine. Will explore that first.. -

Tps For Hypertune Single Throttle Body
tricstar replied to tricstar's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
So there is no way finding out the Nissan part number from and actual part number ? -
guys I need a new TPS as my current one is playing up. The one I need is A22-641 921, well that is the manufactures part number on the back of the TPS, but of course Nissan don't recognise that they have their own numbers and can't even order or find it from this number ?? The guy at nissan thinks it could be off a Nissan V8 like a G50 ?? but still can help me without a VIN for that car ? How the hell can I order a new one ? how can I get the Nissan part number ? My head is spinning. there are plenty of second hand ones on ebay (mostly in the US, off some Infiniti?) but I don't really want another 15 year one..
-
ok after a very frustrating 30 minutes down at Nissan, cancel the info above.. the one I have A22-641 921 is not off either of those cars and may be off a nissan V8 G50 or something ?? Starting my own thread now... hope I get more help than I have been to you !
-
Might be useful info for you but I just brought a new R33 GTR TPS to replace mine which has a big single throttle body only to discover when i went to swap them that the one on it is from a S13 or 240SX or Infiniti something.? Number on the back of the TPS is A22-641 921. Whereas the R33 GTR one is A22-648 J11, they rotate different directions. When they are mounted the GTR one rotates clockwise and the other is anti clockwise, according the arrow on the back"......... No sure if this is of any assistance, but there it is. Ps Just had a good look at those pics and neither will go on that throttle body /-;

Isn't that the oil feed line ?? Don't suppose it matters, and that sound does easy, leaving factory lines clipped and supported round the back of the head.
-
yeah I just pushed braided line on to where the factory hose came off and hose clamped it there, think it is -6.. brackets or cable ties maybe..I don't have either, and no mayor up/downs. no restrictors required, its only water pressure.
-
As said and pictured it's just the push on fitting, but make sure when installing that there isn't to much/any up and down in the line, or you could have issues with airlock in the lines.. Remember it needs to thermosiphon ( spelling?)

Garrett -5S Vs -10S Or Other (Tuned On E85)
tricstar replied to Daz's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
you want a comparison -5's vs GTX2863 ? Gav's results ? same set-up, same dyno, only changed turbo's, is that not a comparison ? whats with the no love for WA ? -
Man your hip pocket better brace itself ! ! just did the Nismo in the rear $$ but also did wheel bearings and boots while everything was apart ..... holy $$$4k but that was changing from an A-LSD, at least you can use your diff housing and axles. yeah RHD was as good as any to buy from.

Series 3 R33 Gtr Gear Box
tricstar replied to Daz's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Have had them last with 610rwhp at the track and street, but go to hard on 3rd and blow through it pretty easily. I don't think u can put a figure on it I've also broken one with only 400rwhp, if your ruff or careless they will break. -
Fitting Ikeya Rear Lca's
tricstar replied to Gav's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Looks like your on your own with this one Gav. -
yeah just put the standard 5th gear on it, I have done the same and with 600+rwhp had no issues with 5th, makes for a better cruising rev. I certainly wouldn't change the diff, 1st gear is tall enough ! plus you'd have to do the front too ! if you are chasing decent power the centre plate could be good insurance, if I have anymore problems with front to back movement of the main shaft I'll be forced to get one.
