yeah he does change like a Nanna

the problem with any of those heat wraps, conduits, shields, what ever is the heat from your turbo and dump etc is extreme and still melts the plastic from the wire over time.. without needing to drill any holes I was able reroute all the wires that ran down that side, out into the guard, up near the windscreen ( runs between inner guard and guard liner ) and back into the engine bay near the headlight,.. Problem solved

Aye, look at you guys living the Veva Loca . was it faster than the Silver Bullet ?? I'm sure theres a couple of strip club stories that don't implicate you did you come home with a bag full of goodies for the car ?? My bro just back from driving a 458 through Switzerland and France for 10 days, was blown away by the car as you'd expect.. Gotta get me some Supercar action In the mean time I gotta get exhaust manifold and turbo off and sort boost issues, will try and make that round, really like those courses, averaged about 5 seconds better than Gav in the last one we did but I think about 10 seconds behind Franz so different to the track yeah, boy the course claimed some rims that night
-
yeah I'm buggered now with oil cooler taking up half the space but even before that, the core would fit no problem but not the canister ( condenser or whatever it is ) that is connected to it..
-
not too bad for me, i put a fair bit through Star Track, so my guy looks after me, it does vary a bit but last one was $70 each way
-
yeah not a chance in RWD Its funny I thought did hold it flat, but I've just watched a few other vids from the event and no, maybe on semi's but not streets... hey Simon the stocky performed well again, good work
-
thought there would broken boxes collecting dust in sheds all over the place,, but maybe not ? you might be one of the lucky ones, altho with the torque of the forklift motor it might just be one hard shift away oh well I'll send this one off and get it fixed so I have a spare, uncase the curse strikes again
-
haha , not much (prob down to 80mm at the bottom )and to make matters worse there is an oil cooler taking up one side so now that only leaves half the space ?? definately a custom job I think Jimmy will just have to have a look and see what he thinks
-
yep brakes did their job very well, and still running the pads that came with them look forward to hearing some stories from your boyz trip whats the next event your doing?
-
nah no yellow sticker sorry about the shit sound on the footage ( Go-Pro Hero ) I found what was rattling .. as for not flat through the esses Matt, it all depends on the exit on corner 1, and on the street tyres ( Michelin Pilot Sport ) its pretty skatey with the change of direction and the dip , I'm reasonably happy with the time and to be that close to Franz Unfortunately, due to boost leaks and who knows what, I was noticably down on power, instead of the usual 1.8 bar I was only seeing 1.4, both days more lag out of the corners, so that combination didn't help.
-
yeah I was out there both days, so if it was a stickered up Dark purple GTR then that was me heres a video of first session on Saturday morning which turned out to be my fastest, 65.50, second in the Street Class by 0.17 of a second to Franz in the Evo 8 MR

Just uncase your been hiding under a rock and haven't heard, there is a "Track Battle" at barbagallos tomorrow, both time attack and drifting, should be good spectating.. www.trackbattle.com for more info
-
heres one at the drags, I should be doing 10's but haven't managed one yet its a HKS 2.8L with TO4Z, and 710 @ the hubs, prob low to mid 600's ATW you can find all the info you need in "SAUWA members rides" posted in about June this year I previously had another R33 GTR with 400rwhp and that ran 12.0 down the quarter ..
-
Now I'm going to show my real knowledge.... the motor that runs off the fan belt can go back in, but there is nothing between rad and intercooler I do have the stuff that doesn't fit in my shed ?? does that answer any questions
-
has anyone got any broken GTR boxes they want to get rid of, or fixed ? I'm sure there is plenty sitting around in sheds, getting in the way I'm sending my latest smashed one to my guy in sydney to fix so I have a spare ( which is a must for any descent hp GTR ) in the shed, he already has a couple of broken ones I've sent him previously for parts, but we could always do with some more..
-
I didn't see any R34 GTR at the drags last night ?? Or was that a dig at my 60 foot ? if so, I realise 1.9 is not flash, the track was prepped yesterday and looked much grippier..

Push Pull Converters
tricstar replied to lolorodeo's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
mate I'm running an OS with the push/pull converter and no boot around the arm that comes out of the box, couple of years and no issues I'm sure you will be happy with the OS clutch, my triple has done about 20K with alot of abuse and still going strong -
Can't fit standard A/C between radiator and intercooler, can you do a custom system, off something modern and small ???

Lsd - 1.5 Or 2 Way
tricstar replied to Checkbuzz's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Is it the A-LSD that you are referring to ? still running one with a lot of track work and 600+rwhp fine ? -
yeah no biggie, was changing boxes this saturday anyway, just hope clutch is still ok, feels alright so I think it is...I'll be good to go with OS box back in, hoping everyone else blows though there stock 3rd leaving me for the WIN Anythings possible with those weak as shit boxes
-
Good to see you down there Davo , slippery as shit alright. well this is not what I was hoping to report, but not completely unexpected.... did a couple of very average runs, nothing but wheel spin off the line, was to pussy to torch the clutch 1.9 & 2.0 - 60 foots, 11.7 & 11.9 both 126mph being nice and gentle on the gear changes to the point it was fulling off boost between gears So turned the boost up and went a bit more aggressive on the shifting, and destroyed 3rd straight away I wasn't too shocked with that result... managed to limp home with no third and what sounded like someone shaking a can of nuts and bolts under the car, so that gearset will be completely stuffed.. anyway altho not the best sample group, it doesn't look like the shorter standard 1st is any quicker out of the hole than the longer OS 1st, but there are too many other variables, don't know if it was the track last night or what, but I get better hook-up on the street, at barbs and pretty much everywhere compared to motoplex last night..
-
Late notice I know, been watching weather, not supposed to rain so I'm going down.. If any SAUWA peps are going, come say hi..
-
Yeah as Syfon said do that, if you haven't owned it for 12 months, just drive it round with ACT plates on till you have, then just fill form out and transfer no pits required if you can keep your nose clean ....
-
It'll be during the day so should be able to get some decent footage, yeah anything is possible with these boxes, Chris seems to be very gentle with his, but with the torque Gav is putting out the thing eats boxes for breakfast, I assume he's still running the standard one ? Need to find time in the next couple of weeks to put my OS box back in so hopefully it wont be me have box issues... but I'm thinking of doing a couple of runs down the strip next wednesday before I change boxes, so I can compare 60foot times between the standard and OS 1st,, definately wont be doing to much clutch frying tho, don't have time to rebuild that before T/A .. I'll put the word out if it's going to happen
-
yeah I'm on the "street car" list with some heavy hitters.
