  1. 13000km's come on thats less than 1000 a year
  2. yeah I did mate, sorry wasn't quick enough to give the wave back
  3. mate you need to keep reading and searching on here, you will find all the info you need and more..... that little motor you speak of could be for your A-LSD of could be your ATTESSA pump ? and you can run different width tyres but they need to be the same rolling diameter, so it is easier to just run the same size rims and tyres all round .. keep reading and 13000km's on a 15 year old car
  4. gt3788R is not a bad compromise between gt35 and gt40/TO4z as for evos destroying most things there, its so much more the driver than the car, eg. Chris in his orange R32 GTR destroys all comers pretty much everywhere I think an average driver can get in an Evo and go reasonable quick up to a point, after that its more the driver than the car , my 2c
  5. cheers guys was good to meet a couple of you out there in the heat, I wasn't out and about much through the day, a bit antisocial so no free ice cream I was hiding in the shade nursing a kick arse hang-over from the Lexus Ball last night only just came good before the motorkana in the afternoon, then wrong wayed the first run Micheal : It has HKS coilovers thats about it, but the key in tight little courses like that is my Ruzic Torque spilt converter, so I turn the front down to make it a bit more tail happy, rather deal with over-steer than under-steer .. certainly didn't feel grippy in the car .. that course was more suited to the Suzuki swift than our cars, but was a good bit of fun, wheres the vid Eric
  6. OK that make it quite a long process, I'm in perth and I got one from melbourne and one from adelaide, you might not find what your looking for in your town, I found the cost of going interstate was more than offset by the saving on the car.. but it sounds like a time thing a
  7. mate not sure where you are but there are a couple of R33 GTR in the F/S section with a truck load of money sent on them, in or near your price range ? have you looked at them ?
  8. mmmm next car, you don't want to be sorting out problems from day dot,
  9. I had exactly the same problem, Here is the fix: firstly I would put the nismo motor on the tacho back on then: you need to take note of the idle with your standard dash, then pull the face off and back ( from memory ) so you can get to the back of the tacho inside the dash, there is a small calibration screw on the side of it, just adjust to match old one make sure you have very clean hands and don't leave dust and stuff inside the dash.. cotton gloves if you have them to stop finger marks, I just made sure I didn't touch the inside screen. If its just a tacho issue that should fix it.
  10. Again 100% behind Nismoid, I was the same as you, bought a basically stock R33 GTR thinking I didn't want one to molested, then not long after looked at doing mods $$$$$$$ holy s**t your blast through the cash real quick.. So got rid of of stock one and for about $6K more bought one with 2.8L and everything, about $50K worth of mods, you never get that money back.. As said if its built, just make sure it was done by a reputable workshop, and get it checked. Look in the for-sale section here, there are always bargains and you can usually find a bit of history on them, lastly do a lot of tyre kicking and look at heaps
  11. HHmmm free ice cream, I'll be looking out for you ALICE IN WONDERLAND SLEEVE
  12. Oops my mistake they are Michelin Pilot Sport 2 , not Cup treadwear 220 ? does that make a difference ? and A048 M/H are treadwear 60
  13. I'm not sure... if it's one of the draw cards I better start polishing under the hood because it looks pretty standard otherwise after the time attack time that is...
  14. I've agreed to put car on display so I'll be in there parked up by about 9am so you should be able to find me once your in ..
  15. Club Tricstar, total members 1, just look for the guy standing by himself beside a Dark Purple R33 GTR
  16. yeah I thought the street tyres would be better. Its a 33, so no RWD action, I'll just launch it hard in the burn out area and spin them up for a couple of seconds, should get a bit of heat into them cheers
  17. My R33 GTR is setup for circuit/street with coil overs etc, but I do like to do a few runs down the strip. So I have Advan A048 medium/hard's or Michelin Pilot cup something something--good street tyres which would be best for the strip and what warm-up process should I be doing ?? Car has around 650rwhp
  18. spot on
  19. all that will certainly come into play when you race in what ever category you are going to race in.. but for us mare track day hero's you pretty much do what you want with camera mounting
  20. thanks Trev, very kind I haven't looked yet but if it is only 200kph, that won't cut it if we do long track might need you Trev
  21. its got a pretty good suction mount, good for around 200kph i think, I'll check before I go
  22. I remember both of you and Patty could have rested his beer on any of our heads from up there,
  23. If it stops the system from staying primed and relieves the pressure it should be no different than switching a R32 GTR to RWD.. I've got a shitty old box in my car atm so I'm prepared to give it a go
  24. Well I wasn't as good as I thought I'd be but had fun, was good to put some faces to names, however with my memory it'll be just like the first time the next time we meet might see some of you at the Jap day this weekend
