Skyline Gtr R33 Turbo Upgrade 600-700hp Wich Turbo?
tricstar replied to SKYGTRONE's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
yeah,, I had it tuned before on a rear wheel dyno only weeks before, and made 550rwhp , then on the awhp hub dyno only made 520awhp, on the same tune... after retune made 710awhp ,, was hitting boost cut on cool nights @28psi . so have pulled the boost back 1.5psi so maybe 680awhp (on a hub) what ever that is? is it a percentage less?? -
sorrry about multipal pics, tried to edit, but ended up with another one
-
sent Gav a text, he's entering today and will remind Chris, hope their running semi's, don't want either of them in my class . here's a couple of pics. looks like this except she's wearing R34 GTR rims, and sporting a TO4Z not the big Turbonetics

Skyline Gtr R33 Turbo Upgrade 600-700hp Wich Turbo?
tricstar replied to SKYGTRONE's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Its the last post in the RB26 dyno results.. not a daily but more than just weekends.. as for will it last, yeah how long is a piece of string, you see some guys putting a lot through stock engines and others breaking built ones ?? you would hope if they have gone to the trouble and expense of the stroker it would be done properly.. no point living life thinking what if .. just take it up slowly and see if anything comes up (or out) 22-24psi should see you around 600whp -
Skyline Gtr R33 Turbo Upgrade 600-700hp Wich Turbo?
tricstar replied to SKYGTRONE's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
thats the same set-up as me 2.8L TO4Z .84 garret 710awhp, is absolutely nuts scared the shit out of a few mates.. also considering the GT4088R check that out, I went the TO4 because is was tried and proved, plenty of dyno results to look at.. -
I hope their not, I would've thought both of them would be running semi's, so not sure if thats "Limited" or "Unlimited" Yeah havn't done the Sped Event Series yet.. I'll keep a look out for you, you'll be in a GTS? what colour?
-
OK fair enough...No Limits is one of the best entry level track nights, I've sung its praises on here, only missed a couple of nights in the last 2 years & reckon I've seen a few Skylines at best apart the usual suspects, done Shannons, Fabcar, Transcore etc and only a couple of Skylines and not from here.. IPRWA & SCRAWA look like they are for striped out race cars ? Am I missing out on other events that everyone on here are doing ?? By the way I'll see you at the "Time Attack" just entered,, street class AWD

problem fixed the motec doesn't need a separate tacho feed and was disabled in the motec so cut the wire that was tapped into the tacho wire and all is good..don't know it just started playing up now as nowthing had changed there, but anyway fixed
-
the sheet is up in the dyno results, posted it yesterday.. and I just looked its a Blitz Access Controler, looks like the standard ecu but badged with that.. the Motec M800 just does injectors, timing etc basically all the engine management and the Blitz there for Attessa etc I think.. just checked the tacho wire at the Blitz, it looks ok but has another wire taped into it ?? I'm assuming that goes to the motec for something, and maybe getting some interference from there ?? tacho only goes on the blink under boost thoughts.....
-
hi guys, as the topic says, tacho seems to work fine until I put my foot down and as soon as it hits boost and the revs go nuts, the tacho needle just flaps around, doesn't follow the engine revs?? was working fine before, but just picked it up today after a tune ( now 710 awhp ,, comes on really hard ) is there any reason why the tacho might not keep up with engine revs? I can sit there and rev in neutral and is fine needle behaves normal it only happens under boost... car runs a motec pigggy back and a Blitz standard Gtr computer . its a pain not knowing where the red line is.. any ideas guys ??

there was some talk of lumpy cams earlier in this thread, this is the idle of the above set-up jun272's I fell in love with it..
-
REALLY thanks forgot to mention at 24psi

+1 for the 400kw+ club 680 4whp ( on a hub dyno ??? ) what ever that is ? don't want to start a dyno war, but I'm sure its over 400wkw HKS step2 2.8 stroker, full counter crank and rods kit, CP pistons. Garrett TO4Z .84 rear , Jun 272 in and ex cams, 10.8mm(?) lift, special retainers and all the jazz needed to support the cams and high revs, heads extensively ported. Current street setup with wastegate plumbed back into HKS 4inch exhaust 1000cc HKS injectors, Motec M800 ECU

Rb26 Turbo Upgrade, All Dyno Results
tricstar replied to SLY33's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Just had another tune, heres the set-up HKS step2 2.8 stroker, full counter crank and rods kit, CP pistons. Brand new head from Nissan, Jun 272 in and ex cams, 10.8mm(?) lift, special retainers and all the jazz needed to support the cams and high revs, heads extensively ported. Big dollar hypertune plenum and single throttle body setup Custom alloy breather tank etc Jun oil pump, N1 water pump, ATI balancer Trust sump extension. Garrett TO4Z .84 rear, turbo and big Turbonetics external gate OS Giken 2 way front diff OS Giken cross mission 5spd gearset with input shaft 800+hp rated, quick shift kit OS Giken triple plate clutch 800+hp rated wastegate plumbed back into HKS 4inch exhaust Huge alloy radiator, disgustingly thick Trust intercooler. Fuel system to cater for 1000hp, 1000cc HKS injectors, HKS fuel rail, splitfire coilpacks Motec M800 ECU @ 25psi made 680awhp on a hub dyno (so probably about that at rwhp ? ) what ever it is it comes on hard, -
yeah I'll be getting one of the sandwich plates with a thermostat in it ..
-
if I put the cooler between the intercooler and the radiator, then put a cover plate on it, it will block nearly half my radiator ? that wouldn't be good would it ??
-
congats, taken you a while but looks like it will be the goods.... where did you get that turbo shroud ??
-
that dosn't sound ideal.. so is -10 in and out of the sandwichplate enough flow ? is that what everyone else uses ??
-
I'm about to hook up a oil cooler which I already have, it has -12 fittings and hose and -12 size in and out of the cooler, however the only sandwich plate adaptor I can find only has -10 so I would need to step it down with adaptors, my question is, will that increase my oil pressure, by stepping down to -10 at the sandwich plate, ? the feeds on the sandwich plate don't look that big, just a bit worried about the flow,, like the guy in the post below I already have highish oil pressure,, what brands sandwich plates and where have you got them from?? one of the only ones I've found without a whole kit is earls, through enzed, any good ?? ok that was a few questions any advise apreciated... cheers
