  1. yeah he's just messaged me and said the best place to get the power is from the same place as ECU & also I think he said the wire to back of gauge is only needed for when you use external data logging !! just waiting for confirmation of that...will post up what I find out for others....
  2. yeah thats the one I'm trying follow, lot easier when you have someone who's done it before with you...... I see he used the stereo power, I was just hoping there was somewhere more accessable... cheers
  3. got a Ruzic TSC , doesn't have much in the way of installation instructions.. I have done some work on my car Before eg, clutch, gearbox etc but nothing on the electronics side so could use some help with this one..... most of the wiring looks to be straight forward, just match up the colours of the wires.. BUT I've pulled the dash, centre console and centre gauges, stereo etc to pieces, to connect wire to back of the front torque gauge to the + screw as described ( trying to follow instructions I found on here ) there is 4 screws with 3 of them marked os its not obvious which is the + one... is it the top right as I suspect.. ( when looking at the back of the gauge )..also is it ok to just tap into the stereo power + & - ,, as for the toggle switch can I use the aerial switch on the dash it only has two wires going to the back of it and the toggle switch only has two also, will that be ok ( the aerial has never worked but reception is fine ) If there is anyone in perth who has done this before and would be kind enough to come round and help or if anyone can just answer the questions above that would be awesome..........
  4. had this exact same thing on my gtr running 19psi, but I don't think it is related to boost.. it just went away on its own.. this probibly won't help much but I did find where it was coming from,, hard to discribe but if you follow the two ajustable rods from the throttle to the manifold , mine was squealing from there..... don't know how this will help you . but to answer your question I had it before not sure if thats the butterfly shaft seal

  7. shit I wish I got a response to my in-put shaft bear noise, question last week ..... just cost me over $1000 to find out, don't worry about a it till it shits itself
  8. question for the brains trust: when the car is stationary and foot off the clutch theres a sort of whinning noise ..which goes away when clutch is pressed in,,,, have been told its the input shaft bearing ( worn out ) firstly : is that an isue that needs to be fixed or else secondly : how much should that cost roughly the gearbox is out at the moment , due to new clutch, so if I do want to get it fixed can anyone recommend a good tranny workshop in perth ??? any pearls ??
  9. how many ppl running heavy duty single plate clutchs have had crank-shaft bearing problems ( thrust bearing or whatever its called )
  10. has anyone had an exedy twin plate clutch rebuilt?? my gtr is in the shop at the moment due to clutch slip after only one year. Just spoke to NSW sales manager for exedy and he said after 7 years in the job he has never seen an exedy twin successful rebuilt.. and FTR he said the exedy twins are not meant for everday drivers, perfect for track cars etc but not daily drivers.. anyone had any luck with rebuilt exedy twins.. spoke to Jim Berry the other day , thinking of going for one of his big singles with standard fly, I'm looking at up to 450hpatw any thoughts??

  12. B1 , I realise the seat belts would need to be switched ..please But after closer inspection I don't think its doable... I was an upholsterer for 15 years and the chance of matching both fabrics on a 1997 GTR seat with original would be slim at best.. so I suppose get another seat and taking out the drivers while its still ok is the best solution.
  13. ha out there, has anyone tried swapping the drivers seat with the passengers . I have a R33 GTR and at a glance it looks like if you unbolt the seat and back pad from mechanisim they could be swapped ,... just to prolong the life of the seats, as you would probibly know they wear on the edge of the drivers seat and back first. If anyone has done it, is it differcult , any tips
  14. yip those prices are per injector.... am still going to get a set of nismo probly 600's uncase I decide to turn it up some more... thanks guys for the info,, just goes to show its worth asking around and not just taking the word of one shop.. and nismoid they were the ones doing the work on my car ----- from now on I'll be doing my own researth.........cheers
  15. running 380 awhp with injectors 90 -- 95% looking to go for up to 450 awhp certianly not mre than that.... do you think thats poss. with just FPR upgrade
  16. ok just read a few things about feul pressure regulators If getting an adjustable FPR and upping the pressure is sufficient why does everyone change injectors ?? injectors are at 90 -- 95% at the moment
  17. yes have dejetro No body's mentioned FPR to me , just told I need to upgrade injectors... What is FPR etc and yeah I've sent a question about those prices.. 1 or 6 ??

  20. thanks Harry.....but I can get my hands on some sard 700's for about $300 only in a weekend driver for two years vs $900 for nismo ones.. can any recommend or otherwise sard 700's

I'm looking at upgrading the injectors on 33gtr as stock ones are maxed , spoken to different shops and get different advise, one says hks 640's but that means have to get hks feul rail also $$$$$ and they say sard 700 aren't very good, because they are twin spray and over feul when you put your foot down ,with big puf of smoke out back.. but seems to me lots have them ,, anyone experience this and what about economy ,, I curently get about 350 to a tank.. btw only after about 420-450 awhp
