  1. winner winner chicken dinner !! well done Lachy, looked like she was on song.. that will look nice hanging on the wall.. what was ya fastest run?
  2. nah its definately launch control, because the computer has antilag and I'm not using that.. so I can set it to hold at any rpm, and it does that by randomly cutting cylinders,, I was hoping someone has set it up before, with an M800 and RB26, cause even just in the type of random cut there is about 75 different options, and it says to find the best one by trial and error...just don't have time for that much R&D no body set up Launch Control with Motec and RB26??
  3. yeah Launch control, randomly cuts cylinders via ignition and fuel at any set rpm
  4. Group 2 #42 hows that rotor going Lachy ?
  5. I'm setting up Launch Control on my GTR with Motec M800, and have a couple of questions for anyone who has done this, or simliar.. firstly,, is it OK for the engine ? it does sound a bit angry. and if anyone has done exactly this with an m800, what settings worked for you? cheers guys
  6. leave it on E85 for the emissions test...
  7. hi Mick, they are made of 7075-T6 hard anodized aluminium
  8. so lazy alternator ? yeah pumps are direct wired to battery terminal with good thick cable, and best I've seem is 13.1v. @ 2k rpm also just data logged on motec the voltage and no matter the revs it never got higher than 14.1v, during a 40 minute drive . as I'm only seeing 13.5v at the alternator @ 2000rpm,....time to replace?? 0.5v-1v could make all the difference in flow from pump..
  9. I've got the Jun pump in my RB28, making over 600rwhp, limiter bashed regularly etc etc still going strong...but I think you'll hear that about all the name brand pumps. So Jun, Tomei, Nitto, etc all a big improvement over the standard one, take your pick.
  10. So I'm having fuel pump problems ( no enough fuel ) and I'm thinking its not enough power to the pump so i've been doing some testing, these are my results.. voltage direct from alternator obviously while running (all testing idling at 2000rpm ) 13.5v voltage at battery ( GTR, so in boot ) 13.2v voltage at pump ( external, hard wired ) 12.8-13.1v I need more power to the pump.... shouldn't I be seeing around 13.5v at the pump and 14v+ at the alternator??? I would really like 14v+ at the pump? or is all that ok?
  11. yeah just found the Proflow stuff for $33per 500mm online ( VPW website ) and it is alcohol/ethanol compatible. thanks
  12. as you said everyone seems to go for the .84, which is what I've got, but that did over 600rwhp on 1.8 bar and 98 fuel, on a 2.8L, so a 2.6L and E85 on decent boost should do it even with the smaller housing. not sure how much extra power the 1.0 rear would get you ?
  13. ok Enzed don't do any hose E85 compatible.. Repco usually stock the Gates stuff, but there is a supply issue, not available until later March /-: AutoPro have stock but $40 per foot so getting 2 feet from AutoPro today..
  14. yeah I hear ya.. as for diffs, I suspect the Quaife would be more streetable, being gears or what ever they do, as apposed to plates like the Nismo..? someone has to be the first
  15. Non v-spec diffs and shaft come up in the F/S fairly regularly but go pretty quick, but generally only around the $600 mark. yeah I got a OS Giken 2-way up front, wouldn't know it's there until your hard at it, then its point and hang the f##k on..behind a 2.8L also
  16. Billet gearbox centre plate anyone ?? the OS-Giken ones go for $1400 ??
  17. Bare in mind I'm in Perth, so everything is more $$ Got the diff and shafts from a Jap importer/wrecker for $850 o-: nismo GT-Pro $1400 diff set-up etc $450 replace boots on shafts $150 also did wheel bearings $800 and did the install myself $0 like ever job, theres always things you don't think of.. I do find the GT-Pro quite aggressive for the street, skips and clunks when cornering slowly. If the Quaife rears are like their fronts, I think it could be a good option, I know a couple of guys over here using quaife fronts and they seem pretty good the way they operate.
  18. thought I would post up in here where the gearbox related chat is.. I've also put it up in the F/S section.. i'm getting some Billet centre plates cut out with CNC etc for only $600 each, PM me if you are interested, if we get enough interest maybe a group buy could happen.
  19. yeah it ends up being quite an expensive exercise.. you need the non V-spec diff housing and shafts, then obviously your aftermarket centre of choice.. I went the Nismo GT-Pro 1.5, not as street friendly as the A-LSD, but you know its locked when you need it. nothing else special required..
  20. Brand new Billet centre plate $600 delivered in aust. pm for more details
  21. I have looked and rung around, and the only place I can find it is Jegs in the states. what are people using in-tank for there E85 setups and where to get it in aust. please
  22. yeah I'm just going to rewire the pump and I should right cheers guys
  23. yep.. Racewars.. thought I might tweak a few things first (-: just done fuel lines from Magnafuel pump/surge to rail so that should be fine, any idea what the standard pump will flow, pumping to no pressure?? once I know that, if its not far off what I can use @WOT + surge in about 20seconds then I'll know where I'm at
  24. ok I do have some 1000m runs coming up and was a bit worried about that ( emptying surge tank ), might knock up a bigger tank for that event, just to be safe, current tank is only about 1.5L should solve that problem ?
