  1. Hi I have a set of HKS GTSS turbos for sale. Plate on the turbos is Garret 707160-9. Reason for sale is that I am selling the car and never got around to putting the turbos on it. They are in as new condition and done less than 5000km. No shaft play. $2000 ono Will post interstate at buyers cost. Located in WA
  2. So what happens if you have an accident and all that blunt heavy shit starts flying around inside your car?
  3. Try Lumley Special Vehicles as well. They were about $400 cheaper than Just Cars and Shannons for my GTR, not sure how they will be for younger drivers though. Had some damage done in a carpark a while back and it was fixed within two weeks, no fuss.
  4. Agreed there are dickheads that treat the road like a racetrack but there are others, the mobile phone users, the mothers that turn around to attend their baby/ young child in the back seat (lost count of the amount of times I've seen that one), heroes with arms hanging out of windows in the fully sick position etc etc that cause alot of accidents. Most of the above cretins vote for the people that make these idiot laws due to the media driven frenzy on import drivers and I would bet that a fairly large percentage of them are a greater danger on the roads than import enthusiasts. Would love to know what the kickback is worth to the pollies from the one and only test company
  5. Does anyone know how the grex/greddy/trust sandwich plate attaches to the engine oil filter thread? Does it just screw on? Reason I ask is that I bought an oil cooler and filter relocation kit from a person wrecking a GTR and couldn't get the sandwich plate off. I was hoping I won't have to wait til the engine gets removed to get the plate off.
  6. Doesn't surprise me, I did rip off err sell it to a young bloke
  7. It ain't only falcodores being tools. Had a 200sx infront of me on the freeway last week decide that it would be a good idea to spin his wheels, in the rain, amongst traffic, doing over the speedlimit and nearly lose it into the side of another car
  8. Last Wednesday I was parked at a chemist in Bunbury for less than 10 minutes and some douche put a huge dent into my back left panel, leaving some of their blue paint behind as well. This wasn't enough for this prick though. The idiot then keyed my front left guard and sprayed some kind of stringy foam stuff all over the side of my R. What a complete act of random vandalism. If I had seen any of it happen I would have kicked every panel of his/her car in, jumped on the roof and bonnet and probably ended up in the local lockup. End result $2000- $3000 damage
  9. My advice would be to stick to a reasonable price and someone who is serious about buying the vehicle will pay it. I just sold my gtst for the asking price. Was offered all sorts of lowball prices even from guys who hadn't seen the car and had someone make comments about the car being overpriced on my for sale thread, again without viewing the car. In the end it wasn't my thread on this site that sold the car, it was carsales and the only serious buyers got in contact with me from carsales. Seems there are a lot of dreamers and keyboard warriors on SAU
  10. Hence I can't afford a new car, Gtst is now sold. Moot point anyway as it is just the MTAA sprouting bad ideas
  11. What a great idea lols. Just go out and buy a new car with a big fat loan and get a $3000 rebate. Hasn't the MTAA heard of the credit crisis, people losing their jobs etc. Would be enough to push most people to the wall, ffs I work a good paying job in the gas industry and I can't afford a new car. Idiots
  12. Yeah seen this one around as well. Btw bart I may have finally sold the red one. woohoo
  13. Great to see a thread like this, I will be keeping a close eye on it. Am looking at doing a similar thing with my 33R using a Vipec but different turbo choice. Goodluck with it all Bakes.
  14. 3k is not going to cover even half of it mate
  15. Agreed. The police only need to be involved if there is any personal injury or there is extensive damage to vehicle or property.
  16. ^^^ Let them come for you and set your limit at $0. I understand the reasons why you want to pay a fair amount for the damage you caused (all decent people do) but these people have shown that they are not decent by trying to make you pay for damage you have not caused. In the case I stated before we refused to pay for unwarranted repairs and they went away once they realised they were not going to sucker us into paying up. These type of people prey on decent peoples' fears and desire to do the right thing. You say there is not much you can do, well I disagree with all respect, don't give in to these sh*theads. The insurance company will give you a hard time for a little while, they will then pass it on to their debt collectors who will try to threaten and bluster you into paying and then they too will give up. If you pay any money they will know they have you and lean on you for the rest.
  17. [quote name='bubba' date='5 Mar 2009, 08:31 AM' post='4459283' Mine also alerts me to emergency vehicles with their lights/sirens on. Not to mention roadwork crews and other traffic warnings. I never knew all of those signals were being transmitted until I got my detector.
  18. I had a similar situation like this about 6 years ago with my ex wife. She hit another car from behind, did minimal damage to both cars and they both drove away without a problem. The other drivers' brother was a mechanic and he was at the scene and said to my ex that there was less than $1000 damage so don't even bother to report it to the police. Approxiamately five months later we have a bill for $7500 with all sorts of repairs on it from their insurance company (they respray the whole car ffs lols). We ignore the bill. About two months later their insurance company calls us and asks to be paid out, we say gtf off and explain that it was a small rear end bingle and why is there repairs to the front and a total respray. They say if you don't pay we will get the debt collectors onto you, we say go for it. To cut a long story short after numerous threats over the phone from the debt collectors they gave up and went away, I guess after being told to f.ck off every time they finally got the message. An interesting thing about this situation was that once the insurance company handed it over to their debt collectors they were not interested at all in discussing the situation. Always remember in an accident never ever admit liability (been told this by police and a couple of lawyers) as you lead yourself wide open to this sort of rorting. If I was you shaunvlc I would stand my ground and not pay a cent. The guy is not going to take you to court to recover his money for two reasons: 1) it will be too bloody expensive and: 2) he is trying to do the dodgy on you and won't want a court to hear about it as he will get his butt booted out of there and have to pay all costs. Don't even bother seeing a solicitor as they will probably charge you at least $300 dollars for a hour of their precious time and may well give you similar advice to what I just wrote.
  19. ^^^^^ Gold!!!!! If you are going to speed (especially on p-plates with sweet f all experience on the road) and take the associated risk of being fined or causing an accident please don't whinge on these forums. You will get no sympathy from any of us. Have a nice day
  20. These plates were up for sale a while back, can't imagine why they didn't sell
  21. If it is a stock ecu then it will just be running rich, my GTR often has a fuel smell. Wish the missus would stop finding ways to spend money so I can get an aftermarket ecu
  22. I have an idea......swap my 33Gtr with perfectly working window for your 34 Seriously though if it is anything like other windows I have worked on the bottom of the window will be sitting in a bracket which is attached to two arms that pivot in the centre. The two arms will be attached to the window bracket with a bolt on either end. You will need to remove the plastic film sheet that is between your door trim and door to get acces to the bolts and the window will have to be at the correct height to give you access to the bolts. Once the bolts are removed you should be able to lift the window out without to many dramas. hth
