When I re shimmed my RB I ordered my shims from a guy in melbourne- superior quality to nissan (.2 case hardened) and on the shelf (delivered overnight), .2 increments (so you can rub them to size) about a quarter of the price of nissan too. Still going. The speedo runs off an electric sender like abs sensor or electronic g/box sender and can be calibrated for whatever sensor you have.

Hey mate, the part number for the chain is 3315205U00. It's about 600 bucks new. I'm redoing a transfer case at the mo and there's probably a few more things you'll need to look at, but I reckon the hole in the case might be a issue. Def cheaper to get a second hand one for about 200- 400. If you want more info on the case internals and part numbers let me know. Andrew

The inserts can actually be taken out and retrimmed in whatever colour, or I'll throw in a free can of black spray dye........

I just go down to my nearest driveshaft specialist, nissans seem to be generic. Haven't paid more than 20 bucks for a boot yet. hossboss if you still need a place to get some from in Bris pm me, can also show you how to change them, the only real pain is taking the driveshafts out. Esp the driver's side front.............

As stated Prefer pickup, I'm in brisbane. Been sitting in my garage for a year but are clean enough, little bit if stitching worn and undone on usual spot of drivers eat. Where abouts in QLD? If you're anywhere near Bris i'll be happy to give you some start up lessons at a more convenient time.

Gearstick hole is part of the transfer case for the AWD, not the gear box. You use auto trans fluid for the transfer case (wet clutch system), not gearbox oil.

If you're really stuck i've got a spare length left over from trimming it- i'm in bris but will post it no probs. Can also make little barbed fittings for you if you need to modify fitting it up. PM if needed. Andrew

is that your driveshaft (ie have you got it out that far)? If not you pop it out by taking off the front diff cover and levering it from inside. Detatch the bottom ball joint and sway bar link to swing the strut out for the driveshaft to have enough room to remove it. Hope that helps
