  1. Hi Fellas, I recently upgraded to an RB25/30 and no longer need the bottom end of my R33. All is in excellent condition, great for anyone whos blown their pistons, or rings. Compression was excellent when it was taken out (off the top of my head it was around 153 all round) I am open to offers, pick up is available from Canberra. Cheers
  2. FPV F6 would rape your car anyday woman Not my r33 but.....
  3. Check for vaccum leaks, check gap in spark plugs, borrow someone's coil packs that work, check for leaks in piping. Reset ECU as stated above. If all that fails, take it to a mechanic for diagnosis.
  4. Fellas, My RB25/30 build has recently finished with my GT35R. Just wondering, of the top of your heads, how much will it cost for the piping: 1) To fabricate the dump pipe, and plumb the external wastegate back to the exhaust piping 2) Fabricate intake piping from turbo to Z32 afm which sits near the front left head light 3) fabricate intercooler piping from my plazmaman plenum to the cooler piping (about 30cm) and from the turbo to the other side of the cooler (about 50 cm)? 4) take of the cat and place a 3.5" straight pipe I astimated about $800 for everything, would I be correct in saying this or do you fellas think it's going to be more?
  5. I'd like to, but I noticed he gets the shits when I ask him specifics, almost as though I am doubting his ability to break in an engine.... Makes me feel bad, that's why I am asking you guys...
  6. Ok, so assume my engine is in, everything is done and the car is ready to be turned on: 1) Should the engine be left running by itself at idle (i.e. 1000 rpm) once turned on to warm up, also how long; or 2) Should you rev and hold the engine at a particular RPM, also, for how long? 3) Should the car then immediately be put on the dyno for a few runs to bed in the rings? Cheers
  7. Guys, I just had my RB25/30 build occur, Can you fellas please recommend what exact engine break in oil to use? 1) 0 - 500km - Which oil? 2) 500 - 1000km - which oil? 3) 1000 - what ever - which oil? 4) when I change oil at the above intervals, do I have to change the oil filter too? 5) When can I start using full synthetic oil? My builder advised to bed the rings in on the dyno with a few runs, then I have to drive it for 500km not reving it past 5k with low boost. After that, he said to bring it back to the shop, and he will conduct the final tune. So I can only assume that my builder wants to use some sort of break in oil for the first 500km, and then put in synthetic oil for the final tune, does this sound right to you guys? Sorry for all the questions, I had a look around on many forums but I still couldn't find an answer to my questions Cheers fellas.
  8. FOrgive my ignorance, but how do you determine if an AFM has maxed out? (Obviously it wouldn't be measuring more airflow when maxed out, but what figure/number on the PFC tells you that it's maxed out) And also, what do the volts have to do with it, like whne people say 5.1v or 4.9v etc? Cheers
  9. It looks promising, but can it be tuned through the PFC? It looks like it has it's own software?
  10. Well I knwo for a fact that's incorrect, when I had my GT2835 Pro S setup, I was making close to 280rwkw and the Z32 was no where near maxing out.... Are your sources credible, where are you obtaining this information from???
  11. Does anyone know when the Q45 AFM maxes out in terms of rwkw? Cheers
  12. Yeah, I am trying to avoid that option if I can as it will be expensive for me.....
  13. Is that at the engine or at the rear wheels? Also, is a VH45 AFM bigger and better than the z32? What does that max out at? I believe the Z32 nengun is selling is the same as the one I got, it's just that Tomei sell them, they are still a genuine nissan part. Thanks
  14. Hi Fellas, My R33 GTST will be tuned soon, I got an RB30 bottom end put on it with a GT3540 0.82 My mechanic is aiming somewhere around 370rwkw mark, however, I do remember somewhere that the Z32 AFM maxes out at like 320 rwkw? Is this correct? If so, and it does max out, does this mean I will have to purchase a new ECU and sell my PFC? Or is there a more powerful AFM on the market? Cheers.
  15. Hi Guys, I'll be looking for a new gearbox soon, and I was wondering if the GTR r33 or R34 gearbox would fit on an R33 gts-t without major modifications? Also, are the GTR gearboxes made from stronger materials compared to the GTS-T? Cheers
  16. Hi Fellas, Look to be honest, I feel like I am ripping myself off. I purchased JUST the tyres for $1,400.00. I feel $600 is a little too low for rims and tyres, considering the tyres are litterally brand new. Price is now $800 firm for both wheels and tyres. If I don't get the price I am after, I will place them on eBay, where I think I'll definately get $800. The wheels and tyres will be available from next Monday as the date has just been pushed back for the car to come out of the work shop. I also do not want to seperate the package, wheels and tyres will be sold together. Sorry to all those people who PMd me.... $600 is just too low... Cheers.
  17. Hi Fellas, There's been alot of interest in the package, and I keep getting asked the following questions, so I made a little FAQ: 1) Will you ship? I don't mind shipping the wheels, providing that the buyer organises their own courier and pays for shipping. 2) When will the wheels and tyres be available? My car is currently at the mechanic (finalising engine build) and wheels are on the car, and won't be out until Friday this week 20th March. Assuming the mechanic finishes on time with tuning and all, the wheels can be picked up anytime after Sunday, as I still have to put my new wheels on the car and get tyres fitted on my new wheels. Cheers
  18. hehe, your one stop shop. No problems, if it doesn't sell by then you can have it. Cheers.
  19. No, they fit straight on, as you can see on my car, I don't have spacers or use anything else to make them fit, they are great wheels, and look great too. They miss the caliper by a good 1cm, I don't know who told you they hit the wording...?
  20. It's a 7.5 inch wide rim, why would 245s be too wide?
  21. I've attached some pics of the new tyres and my car for you to see what they look like. The tyres have been sitting in my garage for a few months now, so please excuse the dust and dirt. Cheers.
  22. Hi fellas, I took some more pics of the actual unit so you can see that it has no damage and also what it comes with. Cheers
  23. No I don't want to split the package, but if I have to, it'll be $300 for the rims and $500 for the rubber. That's $125 per tyre, you will not find that price anywhere...
