  1. Hello skyline junkies! I started a thread a little while back in relation to converting my engine to an RB26. I was pursuaded otherwise, and was told to just forge my internals and get a new turbo. Currently I am running a HKS 2835 Pro S with all the other mods (PFC, exhaust, front mount, nismo 555cc injectors, boch 040 fuel pump etc etc) and making 273 rwkw, however, it's jsut not cutting it for me. Now, I need some answers from you good fellas. 1) What do I have to do exactly to get around 350 rwkw? i.e. forge the internals, new plennum, new manifold etc? 2) WHat cost do you estimate ALL of this will amount to, I need specifics i.e turbo $3000, forged pistons $1500, installation et etc?? 3) WHat turbo should I be looking at for around 350 rwkw? I've hear the GT35 is the go? But what brand? and what A/R ratio? Please advise!
  2. Will 17x9.5 wheels 30+ offset fit on an R33 GTS-T? Specs: Brand : Rota Style : P-45F Size : 17" Width : 9.5 Bolt Pattern: 5x114.3 Bore Diameter :73 Offset : 30 Weight : lbs Color :Full Royal Sports Bronze Images Below Click to Enlarge Thanks.
  3. Thanks you for your opinions. Looks like I won't be doing the RB26 conversion. Now, Some of you said to just forge the RB25, and some said to get the RB30 bottom end. Bang for buck, which one is it? With the RB30 bottom end, the engine should be able to take more punishment and the turbo should spool faster, am I correct? But I have a feeling it'll be more expensive than just forging the 25?
  4. I want to use it as a weekend car. I have 273rwkw with a HKS GT2835 Pro S with all the usual mods (PFC, cooler, exhaust etc). I wanted to get around the 350rwkw mark, and rather than forging my pistons, I was thinking of getting the whole RB26 block. My budget is about 12K
  5. How much, off the top of your head, for either option, fully installed, tuned and working?
  6. Hi Guys, I am looking at getting either a RB26 replacement in my R33 GTST or a RB30 bottom end. I did a search but I couldn't get the answers for my specific questions. 1) I saw a post that someone actually did put an RB26 engine in a GTST, but how do you do this if the engine is designed for a 4wd application? 2) What would be better, an RB26 or RB30 replacement for my R33 GTST 3) Which would be cheaper, and what price range do you guys reckon it'll be around? 4) What would be the advantages and disadvantages of each. I would appreciate if you skyline junkies can answer my questions. Yours Truely.
  7. GT35? That thing wouldn't even start to spool up until 3,500 rpm with a 2.5 litre engine? I don't want to have to be reving my car past 5K everywhere I go just to get it moving. Anyway, I'll see how it goes after the cams get put in (30 Oct). What is a slightly bigger turbo than the 3037 that HKS make as a bolt on application?
  8. I want to make it pretty much a straight line car. For this reason, I got the stock springs in the back, and a good bilstein shock setup all round. I guess I'll see what I want to do after the cams go in. I would hate to get the 3037 and be disappointed as it wont have that much more power gain, with more lag. Maybe it's time to upgrade to GTR? haha. Thanks for the advice people.
  9. Come on skyline junkies your opinions are needed!!!
  10. Hi Guys, I currently have a GT2835 Pro S putting out 273 RWKW with the usual mods (PFC, injectors, fuel pump, exhaust, front mount etc etc) running 18 PSI. I am getting pon cams soon 256 inlet 260 exhaust to the the power up a little more (to about 290 rwkw) Anyway, my question being, is it worth my getting a 3037 0.68 housing to get around the 320 rwkw mark (hopefully), or should I just wind up the boost a little more after I get the cams on the 2835 to push out 20psi and get around 295rwkw? that is, is it worth all the hassle/money for an extra 25 rwkw and more lag? Would my 1/4 mile time drop by getting the 3037? Cheers guys
  11. Yeah my head is still stock. I didn't want to get cams, but I may as well since it will fix my problem of the 'cam actuator' being faulty..... Mechanic said that the adjustable cams would fix my problem (i only have 220 rwkw now as opposed to 273, and the mechanic believes its my cams actuator)
  12. Hi guys, As I wrote in my previous post, my mechanic told me that my cam actuator in my car is stuff, and to fix it, I can either replace the part with a standard part or I can get adjustable cams and it will fix the problem as well. Anyway, I am not very knowledgable regarding cams, I go not idea about size, angle etc etc. Basically, this is what my mechanic proposed: "The price for the 260 pon cam's $1200.00 and the gears are $600.00 for the pair" I was reading in another thread that the size and or what ever it is may be too agreesize for my car and I wont get much power increase. I currently push out 273 rwkw with a GT2835 Pro s turbo. I wanted to hit the 280 rwkw mark with these cams but I am not sure if what I am getting is what I should be. Also, does the price sound right for those cams? What brand are pon cams, are they tomei? Any help would be greatly appreciated as these are getting installed in my car on Tuesday so I need to know if they are the correct application for my car or if there is something else you guys suggest>??? Thanks guys!
  13. Hi Guys, I sensed that my car started to feel slower (I had 273 rwkw), then I took it back to where I tuned it and it only pulled out 230 rwkw, so something was definately wrong! The tuner/mechanic thought it might have been a blocked cat, but that wasn't the problem. He then told me he was 99% sure it was the cam actuator? I am not very knowledgable in cars so I had no idea what he was on about. He told me that everything was still correct with the tune (same AFR and boost timing etc) So he told me that getting after market adjustable cams would fix this. I just wanted to confirm with you guys before I go ahead and spend like $2000 for him to install cams and it doesnt fix my problem WHat do you guys think have any of you had this problem?? Cheers.
  14. Hi guys, I currently have a r33 GTST skyline with 272 kw running a HKS GT2935 Pro S with all the usual mods (PFC, injectors, exhaust blah blah.). Is it worth upgrading to the GT3037 Pro S? Or should I get cams instead? Looking for around 330rwkw. or will the GT3037 not be able to push out 330rwkw? Cheers
  15. Hi Guys, I currently have an r33 GTS-T with the following mods pushing out 273 rwkw: HKS GT2835 Pro S Running at 17.5 PSI GReddy FMIC Bosch 040 Fuel pump nismo 555cc injetors CAI with pod filter 3.5 inch Turbo back exhaust with split dump splitfire coilpacks Z32 AFM Power FC Now, I have around $6,500 to spend and I was wondering what I should get with my money to get my car above 330 rwkw. I've hear that the HKS GT2835 Pro S is most efficient at around 22 psi, so that's what I'll be intending to run. I know Cams, valve springs and gasket are also a must but what else? I want to be able to run low 11's down the qtr with ease. I've read through all the dyno threads, and I am also looking at the option of the RB30 Hybrid upgrade? Any gurus out there please tell me your thoughts on how I can achieve 330 rwkw with around $6,500. Cheers
  16. anyone heard of 'Rival Performance'? they stock a cannon with a 3.5 inch inlet. http://www.rivalperformance.com/cannon.php Just not too sure about the brand? Also, the cannon is only 14.5 inches long, usually they are above 20 inches, I don't want some dodgey sounding muffler.....
  17. Just enquired from just jap, they only stock 3 inch inlet.
  18. Hi guys, I have looked everywhere but I cannot seem to find a muffler (cannon N1 type) with a 3.5 inch inlet. They all seem to be 3 inch? Do the gurus out there know where I can get my hands on a nice 3.5 inch cannon that will brinbg out the grunty sound of my skyline?? Cheerio

Yes Price: $18,000 ono Hi There, I've decided to purchase a GTR, thus, I will be selling my R33 GTS-T. The car is in near new/immaculate condition. The vehicle has the following modifications: 1) HKS GT2835 Pro S Turbo (Cost $3,400) 2) Power FC with Hand Controller (Cost $1,600) 3) GReddy Front Mount Intercooler (Cost $899) 4) Nismo 555cc Injectors (Cost $750) 5) Bosch 040 Fuel Pump (Cost $400) 6) Splitfire Coil Packs (Cost $549) 7) 3.5 Inch Exhaust Turbo back with split HKS Dump pipe ($1,200) 8) Turbo Tech Boost Controller 9) Bielstien Suspension (Cost $1,400) 10) Cold Air Intake with metal piping and POD filter (Cost $300) 11) Xenon HID Kit (Cost $150) 12) New Timing Belt (Cost $500) 13) Major Service i.e. spark plugs, fully synthetic oil, fuel filter etc (Cost $300) 14) Autometer Boost Gauge (Cost $150) 15) R34 GTT Wheels (Cost $1,000) 16) Jim Berry 'Full Monty' Carbonic Clutch (Cost $1,350) As you can see, there has been over $13,000 spent on the vehicle. The car has been professionally dyno tuned at Auto Tech here in Canberra and pulled out an amazing 272.3 rear wheel KW. This car will not disappoint. Very clean inside an out. Never been mistreated unlike other skylines. Please call 0413 756 873 or SMS if I don't pick up. Serious buyers only, don't waste my time by wanting to joy ride. Thanks.
  25. You're right, if I set up my suspension for drag, and get some thicker & sticky tyres, I should be able to do low 12's. ONly problem is, my car is already high at the back, and when it squats down from the torque, there is alot of negative camber and wheel spins like crazy. FOr this reason I purchased a camber kit (whiteline) to throw in some more positive camber. should I get coil overs to lower the car more so the car doesn't have that much sqaut and then put the camber in? More of the tyre will be on the road that way?
