  3. Hi all It's been a couple of years since I've seen any posts on this - any update on problems or issues getting a towbar fitted to a V35 (350GT) sedan (2005 Series II, NOT with the CVT, normal 5 speed auto) model?? I saw the older posts on the wiring relays ok. If anyone has had it done in SA I'd appreciate a lead on where. Cheers Mike
  4. Hi all Well a very happy ending for me!! Went to Main North Nissan here in Adelaide and spoke to Josh (excellent friendly service!!) and they coded the new remote and keys no problem!! Strange thing is, it is the same dealer as the one in Unley that couldn't do it, just a different branch. Just shows you you need to get the right person for the job!! Anyone, I am safely sitting with spare keys and remote now Thanks all for posts Mike
  5. Chris Wish I knew what a C3 machine was........ I'll try a couple more Nissan dealers but there ain't that many in this neck of the woods. Hopefully the next ones have more luck. Mike
  6. Well, picked up my new remote and blank keys from the Nissan Daler today (Unley Nissan in Adelaide) (ouch!!) but they couldn't code the new keys. Apparently their software could not get into the system (I gave them the pin code for the ECU ok). They said they thought it would be the same as the 350z software but apparently not - mine is a 12/2005 build V35 Sedan 350GT with the 3 button remote and the transponder key with no buttons (see piccy). When they booted up the software it apparently wanted to "reset steering lock" and they didn't want to reset the whole system in case it was permanently immobilised. Has anyone else had a problem with resetting the 3 button remote that unlocks the doors and with this model keys???? If Nissan can't do it here where do I go? Mike
  7. just signed up! Up to 35
  8. Hi guys This post has been an interesting read!! Which Nissan engines had direct injection rather than MPFI? I am wondering if I should fit the oil catch-can option to my Series II V35 with the 3.5L engine? Even if not DI it probably makes sense to keep the excess oil out of the intake system? Mike
  9. wizlb has sent you a new personal message titled "Owns". Hey wizlb Being a newbie I don't have enough posts to send a PM back to you. E-mail me on [email protected] Cheers Mike
  10. OK, thanks all. I get the picture - time to shell out!! M
  11. Hi all Got the pin code for my key from Nissan Japan (fantastic quick service) and went to a dealer in Adelaide to get the keys - I was quoted $300 for the remote, $145 for the key and $65 to do the coding. $400 seems steep? I noticed remotes and key combos on E-bay USA for the G35 Infiniti for sale at ~US$50 - do they work ok? They say to check the FCC ID under the key in the remote, but mine doesn't have any numbers. Anyone else in Adelaide get their spare keys done recently? Mike
  12. Like others I had an awesomely quick response time from Nissan in Japan!!! They know how to give good service!! Now off to the Nissan dealer to see if they can help me! M
  13. Thanks Daniel - was I correct with that number - is that the GSM code? Mike
  14. Picked up my V35 Sedan this week and it came with just one remote and one key, and like others I didn't get the keycode with the car. From reading this thread it appears the BCM code in the kick panel can be used to get the pin for a new key. I looked in there (see piccy) and it didn't look exactly like the others photos on this post. Is my BCM code from the piccy 3B071?? Mine is a 12/2005 manufactured V35 GT350 Sedan (4 door). Any help appreciated! Mike Mac keys.pdf
  15. Hi all Have received the Japanese handbook for my 2005 V35 350GT Series II and having a little trouble reading it...... Advice appreciated on where can I source an English Owner's Handbook for this model - the link I found through Google didn't work when I searched. Mike Mac
  16. After joining SAU in 2008 and looking around for the last 2 years (and playing with my 1977 Celica), I finally jumped in and bought a 2005 (first reg 2007) V35 Sedan through Prestige. Car is in Brisbane at compliance and hopefully will arrive in Adelaide soon. Car has only 12000 km so should be in good nick (I hope!) No doubt I'll be asking questions soon! I"m hoping like hell the car comes with more than one key (have followed that post with interest) and that I have no hassles with window motors, etc. Will also have to choose a servicing centre in Adelaide at some stage in the next 6 months, so have also been looking at the recommendations on the forum.
