  1. not a gtr expert here but i would also have ur injectors checked
  2. lol jap cars falling apart do u know how much german cars fall apart, working on them day in day out, all i can say is the new models are brilliant, i would take them over any jap car specially the new S6 omg twin turbo v10 FTW!!!
  3. no offence but why the f**k would u swap a jap car for a german one are u nuts, i work for audi( not sayin that they are a bad car) but u gota be outa ur mind
  4. easiest way to build oil pressure is to remove the fuel pump fuse then crank the engine
  5. very nice car dude, lol bit of overkill on the gauges free bump
  6. if he used a jumper pack they require load in order to work, starting this backwards still provides load, imo he prob fried the ecu hence ur intruments die, ur misfire underload is ecu related because the ecu isnt able to correspond to input given by ur sensors eg. crank, temp etc etc therefore not supplying enuf fuel under load. ide prob get it swapped with a working one to test it, this is ur easiest option.
  7. tbh i dont see how holding your brake pedal down would make any difference to discharing your electrical system, brake pedal goes to the servo unit wich links to ur master cylinder :S just doesnt make any sense how that would affect your electrical system
  8. TBH working in a workshop(as i do) no matter how kind you are to some customers the fact of the matter is PEOPLE ARE A**HOLES. I would personally remove the intercooler put it in his boot and send him packing, yes its harsh but sometimes it needs to be done. The thing people dont understand about cars is they never ever ever ever go to plan, there is always something that f**ks up.
  9. why not run a smaller turbo for lower boost whilst running a bigger turbo for higher ranges
  10. ey man there are a few workshop manuals floating around the forums, just do a search.
  11. yeah for some reason young and cool i havent heard advertise up on the GC much (dunno about birssy), but im from syd and they used to advertise a fairbit, never used them but ive herd they are pretty good-- www.youngandcool.com.au
  12. mate im on the GC but in the automotive industry as a mechanic, if ur looking to stay in the parts department there are a few dealers based around southport, like james frizells, von birba, and grand motors all within about 5 k of each other. as for laboring there are a fair few building goin up on the GC atm so if ur not fussed about what ur looking for there is always work
  13. Hey guys new to the forums, just in the same boat as u, thinking about buying a R32 GTR later this year, Personally i love the GTR, common they got banned from bathurst but besides that, any car that isnt maintained properly is gona cost money to repair, luckily for me i chose to become a mechanic so the only price its gona cost me to fix is parts (wich i get at a lower price ) and food for feeding myself whilst working, i was gona attempt to trade in my current car when i buy my GTR but think it might be wise to keep it just incase, look when u think about it the car is a GTR it was built for one thing to be driven and driven with performance in mind so yes the car is gona be thrashed, you just have to look for signs where they have been, eg your suspension takes a hammering, engine mounts, gearbox mounts because you are placing extra force on the components, listen for synchro noise when changin gears, check for leaks etc etc there are just basic things to look for on any car Im looking forward to owning a GTR and owning a masterpiece of engineering
