  1. RB30S. We don't get any Skylines with a RB30E nor RB30ET. Just a High spec RB30S or low spec CA20S.
  2. Images are from a Japanese spec KCR31 (from vin) What i want to know...........does any Australian KCR31 look like the attached. Thanks.
  3. Hello, I'm looking for a complete 5 lock and key set for a 2 door R31 (i think 4-dr are the same) The lock includes the ignition, Left and Right doors, Passanger Drawer and Rear trunk lock. If possible i would like to have both the original keys with it. If not, one is ok. Btw i live in Brunei Darussalam so if you want to reply, please give the total cost + shipping and i'll consider. Thanks. Teng.
  4. I just need confirmation on the R33 Airflow to Z32 Airflow wiring harness before i splice and solder the wires. =Z32 N62 Flow=> 1 2 3 4 5 6 1. no connect 2. AFM signal 3. ground 4. AFM ground 5. 12V 6. no connect =R33 E60 Flow=> 1 2 3 1. 12V 2. AFM Ground 3. AFM Signal Ok the deal is that i join; N62-NO5 > E60-NO1 N62-NO4 > E60-NO2 N62-NO2 > E60-NO3 Is this correct? What should i do with the remaining wires like E60-NO3 ground? BTW I do know that the AFM will not work with the stock ecu. Thanks.
  5. Reason for asking is that my HKS turbo has a nipple and a hose attached from it to the hks actuator hence i have no idea what to attach to the factory boost solenoid. If it can be removed then i'll gladly do it. Thanks for the reply.
  6. I'll get to the point. Series 2 ECR33 RB25DET. HKS Actuator installed and tuned to 0.73bar. Can the boost solenoid be removed and the hoses from the solenoid be joined together. What problems would i get if this is done? If none, then it's fine. Thanks.
  7. Maybe i should just keep the RB30S and then buying a VL Turbo exhaust and turbocharging it. That's different as well. Just tune the carb for the A/F and i'm done. lol
  8. Yeah, information on RB30S seems close to nothing. I guess no one has ever seen one lying around. Guess i have to search deep into Japan websites to find what i'm looking for. Yeah i saw the link, got flamed instantly lol. Sometimes we are just looking for experiments and that's why we come to SAU...to get information. Not to be depressed and saying that efi is superior and such. We know it's superior but we're not aftering power here.
  9. Ok. I've seen numerous threads where people put RB25/26 Heads onto a RB30e bottom end. That's fine as both engines are fuel injected and uses ECUs. I even saw the RB30E build PDF on the internet and it stats what is needed for the whole conversion. Now, i'm asking something different this time. Don't use the ECUs. How about taking the bottom end of a RB30s (Carby) and putting on a RB25DE Head from a R32 (non-vct). That would work right. I know that will fit but...... The problem now is where can i get an intake manifold to mount Webers and trumpets onto a R32 RB25DE Head? Finding one is near impossible. Will the carby intake from the RB30S fit the R32 RB25DE Head? This is just for information. If information is scarce, then i'll abandon the project. I'm not going high power here. I'm not even going to turbocharge it. Just looking for something different. Thanks.
  10. Ok. After further investigation in the various workshop and wreckyards, i found out that this is a R180 Diff from an early '95 HC34 Laurel and early '94 HR33 Skyline. ¬End Story¬
  11. Is this a R180 Diff? I'm asking because it doesn't look like a R180 nor the R200 Diff as well. Is the ring gear and pinion fittable in the R200 Diff?
  12. I just did that ............bit i'm gonna change the 3.538 gear housing with a 3.916 one when i get a change to got to the wreckyard. It's about 100km from my home so i'm gonna do it much later. lol Since the L.S.D. is already in the 4.111 housing, don't wanna bother it anymore. I'll just keep the 3.916 (when i get it) and will change it when i get another chance to crack the pumpkin apart. Thanks for all your help mad082 and blind_elk. Now i know more about taller and shorter gear ratios

  17. mad082. Thanks for the long reply. Really explains everything. I checked the nameplate and it says RC41, so my diff ratio is 4.111. The 3.538 diff ratio is from a ER33 RB25DE Automatic. It didn't have l.s.d in it as i can turn one of the driveshaft and hold the other one. On research, the pumpkin has option l.s.d which could be installed. I know the ratio cause i split the pumpkin and counted the gears. 46 Ring Gears and 13 Pinion Gears. Since i have a Spare pumpkin from the auto RB25DE, i wanted to install a l.s.d. and put it on my ECR33. I recently acquired a Nismo 1.5way L.S.D for ECR33. According to the Nismo manual, it will fit the RB25DE Pumpkin casing and the only thing i had to change was the driveshaft which has 6bolts (3x2) and my ecr33 has 5 bolts. The driveshaft were included in the Nismo L.S.D. Package. My car's power is now 250hp@flywheel, i don't know how much torque i have now but i will be putting in a HKS GT2530 (320hp) soon so i hope that will give me some added torque. Since the pumpkin came from an Auto RB25DE (230NM@6400rpm) which has less torque than the stock ECR33 (294NM@4800rpm) so it should be ok, am i right? Rev it higher, i should get over 300NM of torque. The only issue i have after reading your post was my 1st gear will be useless. Does that mean i start the car with 2nd gear? Another is whether should i crack open my stock diff casing and install the 1.5way there or just use the RB25DE diff case.
  18. Was browsing other sites for information and i got this; "With a shorter gear ratio (i.e. 4.111) the consumption will increase and cruising will become more 'noisy' due to the higher cruising revs, but in exchange more power and torque will 'transmit' to the wheels." "Going down in ratio gearing can improve traction and widen the gears for high power applications (i.e. 3.5 ---> 3.3) This is generally NOT recommended for naturally aspirated or lightly modded vehicles. It can severaly slow down the accelleration. " So with those statements, i guess 3.538 final gear ratio is best suited for turbo applications and i can get better fuel economy.
  19. Stock Gear ratio on R33 GTS-T is 4.111/4.363 (i dunno which one i have) What if i change the ratio to 3.538? I searched around and found that it will; 1. Reduce acceleration and torque 2. Increase fuel consumption 3. More gear change as it will hit the limiter faster (need to confirm) 4. Higher maximum speed (need to confirm) Final Question, will it benefit the GTS-T to have a 3.538 final gear ratio? Anything that is wrong please correct me. Thx.
