Hey SAUer's
I haven't posted in SAU in a while now due to the last 2-3 years of my life being taken up by full time study. I finally have some spare time on my hands to finally do a build that's been 4-5 years in the making.
Specifications:
Model: Nissan Skyline R33 S2 M-Spec
Year: 1996
Colour: Silver
Location: Brisbane, QLD
Odometer (Purchased): ~125,000kms
Odometer (Current): ~181,000kms
Turbo: Stock
Boost Level: 9PSI (Solenoid bypassed, Turbostarmt Boost Tee)
Inter cooler setup: Stock
Air intake system: Standard Pod filter attachment with proper connection beach (done by past owner)
Exhaust: 2.5inch Cat Back, 3inch Cannon, mounting angle = ~ 20 deg, Cannon Overhang (Rear bumper further eat point) = Nil
Differential: apparentally a 1.5 way but I'm unfamiliar with differentials and what an approximate lock would be on a 1.5. This seems to lock excessively
Interior:
A pillar mounted SASS Boost Guage (mechanical operation)
Upgrade clarion head unit with new 6" all round, running 2 x 12" JVC subs through an Cadence Monoblock
Slight tear in drivers seat, centre bottom section.
Drivers door had a tear in leather located at 3/4s arm point when arm is rested. Timber reinforcing has broken underneath (needs replacing)
Steering wheel is in reasonable condition but has wear from "12 till 4" on "clock scale"
Dash is from a SERIES 1 R33 skyline. I knew this at time of purchase, but at the time the power delivery, idle rate, smoothness of the engine and zero leaks were seen, with a recent for the marjor and minor services done >100,000kms made me think mechanically it was sound and it did feel great.
Wheels:
R34 GTT stock wheels on cut springs (was not too pleased about this but I knew about it when I bought her)
Over the course if 3 months nothing "huge" mechanically will be done to the car as I have serviced her every 5-7,500kms with either motul 300V chrono or Royal Purple (both 10w40) but I would like to bring back that lovely new car feel.
Is there any places in brisbane which can do a replica wrapping of my steering wheel? Potentially red stiching and all? Whilst I know it most likely easier to just waiting around till something in near mint condition would pop up, but given the quality of this one still I would prefer to just go through the re wrapping on the leather and stiching.
Does anyone know of any places in brisbane that will do such a task?
Many thanks from me for your help SAU
Photos and progress to come very soon
