  1. sweet as. i'm going to get a 180b shaft today.. hehehe were dodgy.. but it works so its ok. i want to get the car out to willowbank for a street meet that is on wednesday night. so i want to get it done as soon as possible.. thanks alot guys. i'll post up how it goes tomorrow.

  3. nah. all of the mounts are fine and everything i got came off a 93 gts4 manual same car and same year as mine. the gts4 are the same layout even if they are auto or manual. i don't need to change the tail shaft, even though i have it there.
  4. ok. i'm doing a conversion on my R32 GTS4 and we have everything done.. loom and computer installed, hole cut. everything is done except the gearbox bolted up.... we got it up and the the gearbox sits about an inch away from the bell housing and doesn't go and further. my friend used a alignment kit for the clutch but he couldn't see properly. so do you think it might be that or is there some special way of getting it back in. the auto came out easily after stuffing around with that top bolt on the gearbox.. 2 hrs later. yesterday there was a huge storm and we were still working on it.. hehehe we got really wet. but he kept working at it but still couldn't get it. and thoughts?

  6. ok. i got the 4wd thing figured out. now i looked in my crate last night and found out that i have the manual loom off the gearbox... now does this make things easier? do the plugs go to the same place as the auto one? any help would be great
  7. now this is completly different to all the other posts i have read. i have everything i need to convert it over. even the manual ECU . i bought everything off a guy in perth that have a front cut. i got gearbox, front and rear drive safts, pedals -brake and clutch, master cylinder, crossmember, clutch, flywheel, all bolts, gearstick boot and centre consoles bits. etc. now my question is: i want to use the manual computer, will the car still run using the auto loom? cause i don't really want to get the whole car re-wired. if i use the auto comp i know to cross the neutral switch. what colour wires come off the gearbox for the reverse lights and where do they connect to. has anyone changed a GTR or GTS4 gearbox before? is there any problems with the altessa system when changing the box over? any help would be fantastic!!!!!! if you could email me at mr_gts4@hotmail or pm me. or my mobile is 0412 978 627.   13. the other week it was rainning fairly hard and it hadn't rained for a while. i came around this corner at about 50 then knocked it back to second and tapped the pedal, the back went out and didn't want to came back AT ALL... hit the garden thing on the side of the road with the front rim and cracked it and did a 360 before landed flush with gutter.. no panel damage at all just the rim and the steering rack. took the car to pedders said they would have it fixed the next day...and because my car is 4WD + 4WS they only ordered the gts-t rack... not once but TWICE!! the same thing. a week later and the only spare r32 gtr rack in aus ( thats what they reckon ) and $740 i got my car back.. and if anyone knows where i can get 1 gtst rim let me know i need one.
  14. just a quick question. how much oil pressure do get when driving. on idol i get about just under the 2 mark on the stock gauge. and when i'm under it it goes upto just under the 4 mark. is this bad or normal. i'm running castrol 25 - 50 i think can't remember.

  17. i bought mine for 12g's.. 1993 RB20DET 136,000kms 4WD 4WS auto alarm + keyless entry climate control polished rims mine came with ABS. totally stock in everyway a lady used to drive it to the train station and her husband has a R32 GTR in the garage aswell.. but now i'm the process of converting it to a manual. $1200 for the lot.

  19. my R32 did that and found out that the 6th plug tip was almost burnt off due to lean mixtures. i installed a air/fuel ratio gauge in my car after that happened. when the car hits 5 grand the power dies off completly. it still accelerates but it has no power behind it.. i installed a 500hp fuel pump and changed the fuel filter and that still didn't do the trick... now i'm thinking it could be the fuel pressure regulator. anyone got any thoughts on it? getting back to your prob. have a look at number 6 plug and see what the go is.
  20. i have a 93" R32 GTS-4 4 door and now have at home everything i need to convert my AUTO beast into a Manual Beast... gearbox, clutch, pedals, console parts, front and rear tailshafts... well you get the picture... the guy i got the stuff off even gave me the manual computer on exchange for the auto one. Now the only thing i'm worried about is the wiring difference between the auto box and the manual box. are the plugs the same or am i going to re-wire it all? i know about the netural switch and the reverse lights. but are they any temp senders and 4WD stuff. if anyone knows i'm going to be doing the converision on the australia day weekend hopefully. and another thing, how much and what size is the spiggot bearing i'll need for that goes onto the end of the crankshaft into the manual box?
