  1. Excellent... you are a legend.
  2. Thanks mate. Hm you're making me worried now.. you're probably right, best not to risk it. I will bring my other car (toyota aristo).
  3. Thanks Rianto. I've ruled out the battery, and i dont think its the fuel pump.. im leaning towards something like one of the immobilisors nt disarming. The times when it does start, it starts right after turning the key. When it does NOT start, the starter motor keeps on going and going but no love. You might hear it tomorrow (or perhaps i should leave the motor running...) p.s. i assume all four wheels can be squeezed into the V35?
  4. OK, just wondering if anybody has any advice, but this might be one for good ol' Chris Rogers. So I picked my car up from compliance today. They fitted a new immobiliser as required under the ADRs (FYI its one of those proximity ones). I believe my car also has a factory immobiliser (as there is a red light under the clock), not sure if its standard or not. Anyway, sometimes the car will not start. It does not get any fuel. The only way to get it to start is to turn the key completely into the OFF position, and then try to start her again. and again. and again. eventually it gets fuel and fires up. Any suggestions on where I should start looking? Is there a proceedure i'm somehow missing? Thanks!
  5. Edwin, Do you like the intake? I purchased the same one on ebay. Several weeks later it still didnt turn up so i asked whats going on and it turns out that they ran out of stock, but never told me.... I got the Fujita instead. Much cheaper and uglier than the nismo, but it was available and came with a free energy drink, ha ha. Installed it today and im quite pleased with the intake noise, sounds better than expected. I will post pics tomorrow.
  6. Hey. Grab a personal loan (instead of car loan). Im pretty sure they wont give a crap what car it is. You will actually own the thing too... Interest rate will be a bit higher tho.
  7. Hey. I know this is not exactly what you want, but there is a guy selling a set of the 2008 model 350z wheels with virtually new tyres. The same as these ones i believe: He is in melbourne and wants about $1300, which is a pretty good price. I would have got them myself if I didnt grab Rianto's wheels in such a hurry http://www.350z-tech.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=42028
  8. Not surprised that the v35 came last but it did a LITTLE better than i was expecting.
  9. Did he realise that his proposed security model wont work? (unless it reads the VIN, or something).... (i dont mean to sound rude, i am very grateful for the work that is underway)
  10. Chris. Sorry for the slightly O.T. post. Would it be safe to say that your melbourne trip will be AFTER 10 august? (im hoping to go away that weekend)
  11. I think they got rid of this law for anybody who got their licence after 2007. Its now based on turbocharged/v8 or "high performance 6cyl" other than power to weight....
  12. Some states have different rules. Where are you located? In victoria, they are illegal if you got your licence before the rules changed. They make more than 125kw per tonne. The new rules bans all turbocharged, 8cyl and "high performance 6 cylinder" cars. The 350 and M3 are some of those listed, however, the V35 does not appear. http://www.gazette.vic.gov.au/gazette/Gaze...S193.pdf#page=1
  13. Actually, price is $1300 + postage. Not negotiable. Thanks for looking.
  14. I understand that they are designed for up to 400ps. I havent ever used one so cant give you an accurate comment on how streetable it is, sorry. However, its only a single plate so i dont think it would be too bad at all.. hence why i purchased it.
  15. FS: Ogura Racing (ORC) 409 series clutch and lightweight flywheel kit. This is a beautiful looking piece of machinery. I purchased it only VERY VERY recently but it is no longer required. After picking up my car I realised that the stock clutch (or whatever it has in there) is more than adequate for my purposes and probably wont need to be replaced for a while to come. I'm after $1400 posted anywhere in australia. Less for pick up in western suburbs of melbourne. Cheers
  16. Spotted a silver coupe parked on collins st (between swanston and russell) on friday night approx 11pm. And a dark blue coupe about 9am today on spencer street.
  17. Sorry for the slightly off-topic post - but how long ago did you recieve that reply from Tony @ riverside infiniti? I placed an order with them for something over a month ago, still not arrived and they've been ignoring me.. paypal dispute in progress but no response to that either.
  18. My car doesnt have privacy glass either. By the way - if you were going to change colour, go a darker shade of black. It will make the wheels look larger, where as gold will make them look smaller. Sounds funny I know but its true.
  19. Good work. I need to get me some of those bonnet struts! By the way, I reckon I saw your car about 3 weeks ago at a strip of shops on duke st in sunshine (tint-a-car, #1 tyres, few other mechanics). Unless there is another navy v35 sedan in the area...
  20. I'm still waiting to pick up the car, so cant tell you what the ride is like just yet.. im expecting to take delivery later this week. FWIW Its running 20" wheels and is on the nismo s-tune suspension but with RSR springs, so I dont expect it to be too comfy.. Pics:
  21. Mate, i've just gone through the exact same thing. Decided I wanted a white 6-speed from the start and it took a couple of months before i found a suitable one at auction. It seemed like 70% of the CPV35s were silver... and most of the nice white ones were auto. Go for a newer model if you can find one that you can afford. They have less issues.
  22. Very nice mate, congratulations. Gee the black ones really come up sweet when they're clean! p.s. as for exhaust there are plenty of choices out there depending what you want. I personally went for a fujitsubo legalis R, cost is around $1680 from a vendor here in melbourne. 2 week wait however. Cant post pics as i havent picked it (or my car) up yet.
  23. Make sure the VIN on the sheet matches the VIN on the car. Dont worry too much about a translation, just look at it yourself - Check the grade on the sheet (4 or 5 is good, anything else especially "R", just run..). Look for X's on the picture of the car (means replaced panels).
  24. Dont be fooled, its the same company. **Edit by Mod** See the other thread as linked above. Who knows - their current cars may be OK - check them out for yourself and make a decision. http://www.allpeoplemover.com/zoom.php?id=153 http://www.allimports.com.au/view/detail.p...&car_id=261
