  1. Bringing this thread back from the dead. I tried to sell that ORC flywheel / clutch package a while ago, but the buyer didnt turn up as arranged. So i decided to keep it and had it installed just yesterday. At idle its a little louder than stock but only audiable with the windows open. When driving the chatter noise is very loud but it goes away after 2,000rpm. I personally dont mind it, but to other people the car might sound fairly broken. The clutch pedal is very soft and streetable compared to whatever clutch i had in there before (it has nissan stamped on it, but was very heavy, so im not sure what the deal is there). The car feels only very slightly quicker, maybe just a placebo. I seem to have adjusted to the difference already.
  2. Oil every few thousand kms.. in my driveway.
  3. Good write up and well done on the brakes. Sounds like they work a treat.
  4. Basically every car that comes off the boat will only have a few litres of fuel left. Its interesting that yours was heavier than mine and i had a full tank? I guess the scales are never too accurate.
  5. Mosoto, you're probably spot on. Mine was 1,560. The 350z weighed up at 1,520. Anyway. Minus the 55 litres of fuel, perhaps 20 litres of other fluids, and it would be safe to say that the weight is about 1,490?
  6. No where near the google weight. Mine is a 350GT premium.
  7. So I put the V35 on a weigh bridge today. Anyone want to guess the result? It was much closer to a 350z than I expected (a 350z came with us as well). If it helps, it was weighed with nobody in the car. I dont carry my spare wheel around, and the fuel tank was 90 - 95% full. Also, random fact i didnt realise. My fuel tank is 60 litres. I believe the 2005 models have an 80 litre tank??
  8. If you think your motor is busted, and you have money to blow on a conversion, why not just rebuild your VQ35 properly? If I was keeping my car, which may end up happening anyway, I would have loved to do a proper all motor build.
  9. Do you mean like these ones? http://www.burnout-web.com/SHOP/KD05IF.html
  10. Thanks Rianto - how foolish of me.
  11. Folks. A link to my for sale thread. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/20...pe-t307694.html
  12. No longer EOI. Car is up for grabs.
  13. Throwing this up as an EOI for now. Its painful as hell for me to let this go but I'd like to buy a house and it doesnt make sense to have this much cash tied up in a car. Details: - 2003 Nissan Skyline - 6 speed manual - white pearl - brembo brakes - premium edition (half leather interior, dual zone climate control, 8 speaker BOSE stereo) - very rare factory optional MOMO sports steering wheel It took me quite a while to find a white, 6 speed, premium edition with brembos. IMO it is the best combination you can get for this car, and there are not many around at all. Mods: - 20" WORK SC2 wheels - Fujitsubo exhaust - Nismo suspension with RSR springs - Nismo 280km/ph dash cluster - Impul ECU - removed speed limiter, raised rev limit, more aggressive tune - Fujita F5 intake - Motordyne plenum spacer - 2006 model headlights with factory HIDs. Big improvement! - Digital PAL TV tuner integrated into factory screen by chris rogers. Shark fin antenna. - iPod / iPhone integration by chris rogers. Plays video, audio, and recharges the device. - Alarm system wired to everything that opens, meets aussie standards - Chrome door handles - Debadged - Custom standard issue plates [NIS.035] I also have: - Brand new ORC clutch and lightweight flywheel kit not yet installed - Second hand Tomei 2 way LSD not installed Do the maths and you'll find that there is easily more than $10,000 of stuff listed above. Price including everything: $35,000 inc RWC and rego until july. I'm willing to the lower the the price based on the following: - I keep the 20s, but will fit the standard 18" wheels painted black wearing semi slicks. Minus $1000. - Or bring your own wheels and minus $2500 - I keep the clutch and minus $800 - I keep the 2 way LSD and minus $500 I will also consider trades with other cars plus minimum $20,000 my way. Particularly a JZX100. Any questions feel free to ask. xscape23@tpg.com.au Pictures:
  14. Also be wary that some kits out of the states wont fit our RHD cars.
  15. You wont have much change from $10,000, if any.
  16. Cheers Sorry mate, they've grown on me I was driving next to a maxima the other day, i noticed they have chrome door handles that look quite similar to the V35. Maybe they are interchangeable?
  17. harden the gosh darn up! sounds like just a little scrapeage underneath the car?
  18. Mate I feel your pain. I did the exact same thing on my 2003 coupe. There is no button for it, just go ahead and push the flap a couple times. You might need the car to be unlocked, im not sure.
  19. Is compliance available for a MANUAL 370gt coupe yet?
  20. Yes, I would expect those king springs to lower your car more than they would a 350z. By how much I cannot say. In response to Robbo's post. Thats a big call about being far superior.
  21. Yeah chris rogers installed it as part of the PAL TV tuner package. I was worried about reception so he went ahead with the shark fin. It seems to work well. However, the angle and size of the fin isnt really to my liking.. its on my list of things to replace. I want to find something smaller.
  22. Spotted rianto on our mini cruise into the office
  23. ha ha, ok, good luck with that then.
  24. If you fix the ignition so that it can be started then i am very very interested.
