  1. thanks twisty, photoshop did some of the work yeah, esp when there's that many, + file size. Doing the rest now
  2. pics from Saturday, more to come, use as you like, if anyone wants full quality, pm or post, files sizes are to big for web but good for printing (these have been compressed for web) (is there a way i can batch upload files?)
  3. count me in, still need to pop my cruise cherry
  4. got this one marked down, bringing down the small (and big) cameras to see what can get
  5. yeah, i couldn't do the mullet thing to him, lol abt the 'well none that I am aware of anyhow' comment
  6. lol, i think you want to go back to stock??? any1 else want to have a quess Topaz: that must have taken a while to type
  7. had it now for a few weeks, depends what type of game you like, imagine Call of Duty 4, with bigger spaces to run around. more things to destroy, some like it, some hate it, i like. makes a change from COD4. i only play online tho, so much fun destroying the yanks, lags not to bad. missing a few basic features that come with most games, eg. clans, selecting your own team, customising weapons, but it comes down to your own preferences.
  8. i'm guessing you have a little kid/s? we shaved our 13 month olds hair (nothing stupid, just clean shaved head) a couple of times, have you ever tried to dry a toddlers hair when they don't want to sit still, so much easier with no hair, and he doesn't care at that age.
  9. it must have been planned, how could they smash and grab that much. you never know who to trust nowadays, s**t, even i have small cameras set up at home just incase.
  10. haha, already got another one...... i know it's the weekend, but how stupid can some people be ??? don't worry about the people who want to turn right damn camera phones are so crap
  11. $260 for the camera, which comes with all the adaptors, the suction cup is the main part i was looking for, $14 to get it to good old WA i have to say, i ordered this last Friday night, they send it out Monday and was here on Tuesday, was very happy with that. $20 for a 2gig SD card (gives you just under an hour of video) i picked up 2 of these from Officeworks. I tried to be smart and stick a 4gig card in, no luck That's all, so just over $300, i'm going to get a couple more eventually, would be cool to have a multicam driving video
  12. side mount name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>&"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350" /> sorry all, i'm trying to get YouTube to play high quality, trying to find the right code any1 know how to do this, i've just done a search, found a few different versions, but nothing seems to be working
  13. when you see a cop car on the freeway doing 90ish and everybody else slowing down making sure they don't over take the cop resulting in slowing down the freeway. Just cause there's a cop driving slower doesn't change the speed limit. Funny looking in the rear mirror and seeing 1 cop car and the rest of the freeway drivers sitting nicely behind them i did the speed limit with no problems, and my s**t stands out, cops might have been having a good laugh at every1 sat behind them...
  14. another test without any colour correction or effects.... the middle part of the video is at normal speed (say hi to the cops ) name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>&"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350" /> now back to work, or go do some more filming ??? what to do
  15. haha, never to old for toys, need to find a good use for this, then i've got an excuse to buy the Rally version, same thing but records at DVD quality, just under $1000, which is why i need a damn good excuse to justify to the wife
  16. Hi all, Been testing a couple of mini cameras, got this GoPro from RaceRecall (www.racerecall.com) the other day. The quality is pretty good for a small cam, and I'm pretty fussy abt quality (still waiting for a company to push one of these out in HD, still dreaming ) Quick vid sample, still paranoid abt the thing falling off, just waiting for the crunch as i'm driving The footage is running at 6x the normal speed, it feels sooooooooo slow when watching normal name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>&"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350" />The original quality is much better, but not as good as a DVD. YouTube re compresses the crap out of anything u upload, if you want a better quality, link below will take you to YouTube page, should b able to watch at higher quality Trying some more today, i still need to do some night filming, see how it handles that. Steve
  17. Battlefield Bad Company on 360, always up for a late session if anyone's around 360tag: Xion ink ^^^^ ditto.... lazy bast**ds Steve
  18. Thanks paulr33, yeah, one of the 1st things i did was search here before i posted , i though i'd post incase any1 else was interested. i've seen a few other people have tried this, so why not, might as well, and i get an insiders look in to the process at the same time (there letting me watch them install everything, dyno & tune. That's the interesting part. Taking a day off work for that one, i think it's a good excuse )
  19. I'm paying $6?? for a R33 gtst (can't b bothered to find the paperwork ) 1995 at market value, just over $1000 for a R34 GTT 1998 at market value, both full comp. My excess is $400. i'm 26 with a clean licence. Insurance is through WesFarmers in WA. Also, my insurance covers anyone else to drive our cars. The only thing that changes is the excess, goes up a couple of hundred i think depending on the drivers ago and how long they had their licence. I told them about all mods, rims are also insured but only cost about $50 or less to add Hope this helps Def shop around, we chose WesFarmers cause we have our house and business insurance with them, they were the only reasonable company to do our business insurance,, everone else wanted crazy amounts or didn't want to know, i had a few strange requests for the business insurance.
  20. Hi all, Though I'd post up the conversion. I'm getting a R34 GTT sedan (it's the family car, pretty much stock, FMIC, pod, exhaust) converted to LPG using the vapour injection method (will be running dual fuel). Costing me about $5,200, then the gov rebate or $3,000. So out of pocket about $2,200 give or take (which if you use one of those online calculators, it would cost you almost the same in petrol for the 1st year, so 1st year no real saving, unless petrol hits $2, then laughing all the way but after that, the savings kick in, and who knows how much petrol will cost in a year, even 6 months. WA gov has capped LPG until 2010 at 70c, i think it only goes up about 10c - 15c after that, so will take a while to get anywhere near the price of petrol. For anyone saying "if you worried about petrol, don't buy a Skyline" I'm not worried at the moment, but i'm trying to look down the line, when sh*t gets really expensive. Personally, i'd rather spend the money on moding the car, instead of keeping it running. Not starting this till a couple of weeks, need to get the part ordered, plus the installer is away on holiday next week. Only reason I'm posting this is cause the place i'm getting it installed said i can film the whole process, they also dyno & tune the car after, so i can get a print out to add to the vid. The place in question are doing some crazy sh*t with LPG, they have a drag car their working on at the moment, once finished, is meant to be the worlds fastest dedicated LPG drag/street car (main reason i trust them, they know what there doing, i already have trouble trusting other people with our lines) and really nice guys to deal with. Nice to meet people who like to do things a bit different. All we have done so far was work out where to put the LPG tank. We are losing the spare wheel so the tank can go in. We could have gone for dedicated LPG, i was not to fussed about losing petrol as there are so many places selling LPG now it's not a major problem, but would have ended up with quite a few under body mods to remove the old tank and add a new. More time & money. They will also change the spark plugs (need to anyway) and he said they can gap them at 0.7 (i have no idea what this is, i don't know sh*t about cars ) due to it being gas which would ignite easier (once again, i don't really know what i'm talking about, trying to remember what he said to me). I'll update the posts when more things happen. Steve
  21. sounds good, been working like mad so would be good to get some more filming done, just say where and when, should b nice weather over the weekend ..... 'hint hint'
  22. seems a bit strange that the government would say, "well, we think you can drive, so here's your P plates, but we don't really think you can drive, so no driving between 12 - 5am" you'd think the general public would be angry at the government, as they are the ones letting people drive (good old media, taking the blame away from the government)..... unless there's another way to get your licence ??? I've heard cereal boxes have been good over the years
  23. a couple of interesting links abt road statistics if any1's bored, all from the Office of Road & Safety WA 06 - 07 crashes wa Older version 1995-2004 The last one's a bit outdated, still interesting all you 30-39 year old drivers, look at the 2006 - 2007 pdf still trying to find something that says what type of car they were driving, that would b very interesting to read
  24. Rhys is right about more education, my wife is just about to get her P's (i can finally stop being a taxi ), i wanted her to do the AHG driver safety thing, but discovered you can't till u have ur P's ????? i thought that it would b a lot safer for her to learn about controlling the car before she is allowed to drive by herself (esp now with all the rain), but hey, that is just my ILLOGICAL WAY OF THINKING i guess, i wish i thought more like the people who make these GREAT rules...... Found this on the Office of Road & Safety site, That was from the 1st line about what they are doing. Link below.... Link The link is more about Powerful Cars, still interesting... phoned AHG Driving this morning, yep, you must be on your P's, and they prefer your have had them for a couple of months, i guess so you can get a couple of scratches/crashes under your belt before you think, maybe i should take some lesions to improve my driving. They said they don't know of anywhere else that does before your get your P's, but i'm thinking there not going to promote another company that could take there business
  25. this could also mean that more imports (or any car that does not fit the mainstream) gets pulled over late at night, good excuse for the cops "just checking if your still on your P's, your not, well, whilst we're here, pop the bonnet" Sad times are coming
