check around the odometer, in between each number, there should be some very small clear plastic bits, if they have been snapped off, then something (allowing the person who is doing this is careless) might have been rolled back. i only know this as it happened to my car, took it in to get fixed and the guy discovered that they had rolled back from 6*,***km to about 4*,***km (the six had been snapped all the way back to 4) didn't really matter as when everything was fixed, we discovered that the speedo cluster was from a newer model r33 (i don't have airbags, so stop trying to tell me i do !!!!!!!) so it's anybody's guess how many km's the car has done
-
Hi R34GTFOUR, roughly how long did they take to send them to you? Thanks Steve

haha, i'm not the best at organising, might need some help Finished vid is up, played around with the footage, just experimenting Video Link Would like to film some more in a couple of weeks (around the 20/6 - 21/6) Hopefully filming drift practice this friday at barbagello (still need to make a few calls about this )
-
That was my original idea, but i know that would not help (would b fun to make), but would just piss more people off, so if it was done properly, then it would make a better point
-
nah, piece of cake (jokes) i would film from the backseat of someone's car that would b a good way to start the video, a shot of me trying 2 film others cars driving down the freeway whilst i'm filming (it's a big camera as well, would look so funny )
-
this video would have no affiliation with any1, as i said, it would b a general video
-
nah, not smart arse, just trying to prove a point , since the media and gov are forcing this on the general public that hoons are the problem theres always ways around not looking like a smart ass, by doing this properly no one else had to be involved if they don't want the extra attention, and the idea of this video is not to say, "look, all import drivers are perfect" hahahahahahahahaha, wait a min............. hahahahahahahaha. but to show that hoons arn't the only problem. i'm still going do this, everyone backs down nowadays and just lets sh*t happen. every1 complains and nothing ever gets done. just need a bit of help with filming the speedo and cars in background, anybody with a digital dash? (your car does not have to be seen, would b filming from the back seat looking out the front, i'll even pay ur petrol )

Vids up still gotta edit the intro, wanted to do the fun part 1st Video Link

Hi all, Just an idea, the article below is a link to one of the new laws that has been passed abt general public filming hoons, Link here The idea was: Need a Import with a digital dash (mainly speedo), pretty much drive around and film all the hoons, eg, we stick to the speed limit (digital dash) and film the day to day drivers flying past. I think you could drive around for about an hour and get enough hoon activity. If we bombarded the police with footage, they would have to do something... I think most of it would be speeding and just bad day to day driving, the speed is the best part, so many people do it in Perth, so since they think it's all down to the hoons, this could b a nice way to shut a few people up Only downside abt proving the point is that everyone has to be a target. we couldn't just film everything but imports. Thats why if we stuck to 1 hour (rush hour morning, afternoon abt lunch or late arvo) we could get a more realistic difference in cars. Anyone interested, this has been buggin me for a while, so now we can use there own tactics against them. This could sound pretty evil to some people (i just read the post back ), but why not, could b fun proving a few people wrong Steve (Evil Minded People read below ) To add a bit more insult, i was thinking of doing a spoof Today/Tonight ACA type show. Sort of start off with the music, normal voiceover "Hoons, there everywhere...." in the background have shots of blurred out cars flying past.... bit more chit chat (this is still just an idea ) then reveal the hoon footage to be the general public..... This would b more work, but a lot more fun

Someone asked how to do this from another topic, so here goes, i'll add pics 4 most of the way 19pics all up, everything was done in Photoshop, i'll add the original pics to this post if any1 else wants 2 try When i did this in Photoshop, i was being kind of lazy, i didn't zoom in to get the edges perfect, i'm not fussed as i'm just messing around, if you want it to look really good, take the time and zoom in as much as you can on the area your working on. Finished Photo Originals: open the pics, then right click on them and click 'Save Image As' you need 2 get 2 shots, lock your camera off on a tripod or something stable so it won't move. Get the 1st shot, doesn't matter which 1 first (bonnet up or down) DO NOT MOVE THE CAMERA AT ALL DURING THIS TIME, OR YOU"LL JUST GIVE YOURSELF MORE WORK FOR LATER 2nd shot is just the opposite to the 1st (with the bonnets) use any program that can edit with layers and masks (good old Photoshop) open both if you want to be lazy, hold down SHIFT & drag one on top of the other (ends up with one file and two layers) holding down the SHIFT key centers the image Here you want to SAVE the file but with a different name (downside of being lazy ^^) if you don't change the file name, and you mess up the bottom layer and save, you would have just destroyed the original and it's not that easy to get back (esp if it's ur only copy, had this happen a few times ) so SAVE AS, call it what ever you like I've got the bonnets open as the top layer add a layer mask to the top layer should look something like this Select the Brush Tool change brush size change the brush opacity, if it's to strong, you might get a bit trigger happy and erase to much (you can always go back) anywhere around 75% - 80% make sure the layer mask is still selected (i've missed this a few times, CTRL Z ) down the bottom of the TOOLS window, make sure the foreground colour is set to Black, if it's set to White, you'll just paint nothing now with the brush tool, start painting out the parts you don't want now that you have discovered that this is all you really have to do, you might notice that you got a bit excited and erased to much, you see on the closest cars bonnet. ooopps now to fix that, back down the bottom of the TOOLS pallet, you'll need to change the foreground colour to white you might want to make the brush size a bit smaller, or not, then just paint out CAREFULLY the bad bits so that could b an easier way to get a photo of your car with the bonnet off if you want that smoked bonnet look, heres how, back down to the bottom of the TOOLS pallet, make sure the colour is set to black turn your brush OPACITY down, if it's to high, then when you try to paint your bonnet back on, it will look to dark, and you'll lose the effect your going for then just paint over where the bonnets should be, try and use the BRUSH tool like a brush, pick 2 points and paint for one to the other, should give you a more even look Finished Pic is at the TOP Now i can stop typing this, as it taken me longer to type this post than the Photoshop work Anyone wants to add, feel free, this is just a very quick example Once you do this a few times, it will get real easy Enjoy
